Thank you so much for this comment! Obviously, its not a good thing that you/we struggle with this sin but its somehow reassuring to know that girls struggle with sexual sin just as much as we do(boys), and that were not alone in this.

It is tough, but not impossible. What helps me stay on course is thinking, "Am I being a good husband? Is this what God wants of me?" That metaphorically shakes my head and steers me back on track. At the end of the day, we are seeking a Wife! Your Wife deserves a Husband!

It's not that impressive but I'm at a 9 day streak now, and still going strong, my record is about 4 weeks or so and I'm trying to beat that one. It's the longest I've done in a while and I'm hoping I can finally break free of it. Stay in God's word all the time, have that accountability person, stay strong, and keep saying no, anytime a temptation comes on, get away from it. Keep on going and hopefully you'll also be able to break free!

Hey Isaac I resonate with this. I was in a dark place in my teens and sometimes got to a point of desensitisation. However it works both ways. Growing up my family was very conservative with how we dressed. That's great and it's still where I'm most comfortable. But the problem for me became that seeing as the norm was full length skirts, high necklines and at least enough sleeve to cover the shoulder, anything less than that became a stumbling block to me. I'm conflicted as to how I want to raise my children. On the one hand, I think that traditional dress is best. On the other, I know how a lack of interaction with reality played into my problems as a teenager, and I don't want that for my kids. I'm free, but I'm still recovering. God is good.

I’m not Christian but I noticed after 6 years of what I didn’t know was a porn addiction it affected my relationship and how i felt about women and this really made me feel horrible about myself to the point where I used that as motivation to stop and the changes in mindset that it’s brought is insane there’s no mental fog my idea of women has changed and I’m more proud and confident in myself it’s a massive change and one that I believe everyone should make if it doesn’t serve you don’t do it with some exceptions like video games 😂 thanks for reading this if you did have a good day

I understand you BUT a partner is not supposed to solve your loneliness or lust. They are not objects that we get to use to solve that. Even in marriage people can feel lonely. Build meaningful christian friendships, be intentional with them and SERVE them without expecting a reward.

You are to be whole in Christ, getting married is not „finding your half“, you are whole in Christ and not meant to be alone meaning you need to be pursuing your Christian community.
Embrace Christ first, be clean for 1 year, and then ask God to give you a godly wife.

@@beccaarauz I’ll give and sacrifice for my wife all that I can out of love as Christ loves the church and she will submit to me as the Word says. 1 Corinthians and Songs of Solomon is a sort of guide to the marriage I want with my wife. You forget how marriage was for the hebrews and our ancestors. As the man I will choose my wife from those God leads to me. Marrying just for “love” and “attraction” these days has corrupted the whole system of marriage and family. My wife won’t be an object she’ll be my help mate and my best friend. We’ll seek God together and enjoy life with each other. Sometimes loneliness is because of a weak relationship with God and sometimes it’s lacking love or affection by others. I will serve God by helping others as I always have tried to do. I am whole in Christ but that’s a spiritual wholeness. Marriage didn’t become obsolete after Yeshua was born, died, and rose again. We need to return to the old ways of the hebrews and early Christians for marriage, family, and a culture centered of Yeshua. I burn with passion, hungering for affection and love from a godly woman, and God can put that to sleep but only a wife will fulfill it. Yeshua completes me spiritually but marriage is a ministry and a blessing I pray daily for. God bless! :)

As a man who is married and experienced lust prior to marriage I’m STILL struggling with this sin however I’m not where I was and not where I need to be but being in a marriage doesn’t kill the sexual is the enemy actually tries to make it worse because he wants to destroy marriage. So this is a self journey however it’s not impossible and God is capable of ALL things. I ask God to grace and teach you through your struggles as well as myself, Godbless

I’m going to be blunt, that is not in any way healthy or helpful. Attempting to relieve yourself of lustful thought patterns by focusing on violence and gore is simply trading one evil for another, and I promise nothing good lies down that road.
Try this instead, when battling against lustful thoughts and desires, say a quick prayer. Ask our Lord for help, and He will help. If it’s helpful for you to turn a thought into something else, let it be with thoughts of peace, of hope, and of Him.

What I will say is this, the people that become desensitized and “immune” to violence and the horrors of the job, are absolutely the most dangerous people to work with. Regardless of what you may believe, a disregard for human life and human suffering will not make you a better warrior, it will only make you a monster.
