- Dutch correspondent Max Westerman met Roko Camaj in 1999. He proudly told him about his job as window cleaner of the World Trade Center. On September 11, 2001 Roko was located on the 105th floor of the south tower when a plane flew into the building.

You don't need to be a doctor or lawyer to be proud of your job.
When I clicked on this video, I thought it was just a human interest story about a man whose job was to wash the windows of the twin towers. I had no idea that the story was about the fact that he was working there on that horrific day...May he Rest In Peace...
Tragic.. but I'm so pleased this was recommended to me. I never would have known about this beautiful man. Rest in peace.
"don't worry kids" he told his family....now that's a real man. comforting his family came first.
“I hope to retire up here”
Imagine just cleanin windows and see a plane coming your way... RIP
This man's father was my neighbor in Queens, NY. for 9 years.
I’m a window cleaner, hence the reason I ended up on this video. So sad to hear this story. You can tell from the interview what a modest, hard working individual this man was. RIP to him and all the victims of 9/11.
I hate when people say shit like “just a cleaner”
I didn’t know Roko’s story until now in 2020. A hardworking man, clearly adored by his family and friends. That day took so many good people.
I've been cleaning windows for a few months now. This guy is a window cleaning legend
Just looking how tall it is amazes yet terrifies me. People literally jumped out of there. ALL of this collapsed on ppl. My god 😔 also, I think this is the first time where I have heard of a world trade victim who had a job where people usually disrespect, undermine & shame. Working class people contribute much much more than we want to credit. This was a humble, working man with a family too. Rip to all
1 month to clean
As a fellow window cleaner, my hats off to this man. Died a hard-working hero.
RUclips just recommended me this video. I appreciate it. As long as RUclips keeps introducing this to new people, Roko will live on in memory
I've watched "big business" men and women's testimonies, etc, also firemen and policemen's stories, and
His son's voice was shaking the whole time. Very sad.
I believe this is the first time I've seen one of the victims alive before the attack, just seeing him smile and laugh gives such a sense of personality, so often we see the numbers of who died that we think of them as just numbers to a tragic event, this really hit home that all of those victims were living, breathing, loving human beings.

I was a young window cleaner in the UK at the time & watched this tragedy unfold through a customer's French doors , after the 1st plane hit my customer invited me in for a coffee & we watched in horror as the 2nd plane hit & it went from possible accident to terrorism & war . The world changed that day & so did we , I know I did . R.I.P Roko 💐
