@@v3insoldi3r85 Yea the twins were good towers. But too be honest they weren’t sturdy. Unlike this building. The only thing that was keeping 5e twins up was the steel beams that’s it. That’s why it collapsed because the steel softened and buckled. The new building has Steel and aluminum I believe bolted together to keep it sturdy.

The tallest building I have ever been in is the Sears Tower in Chicago. I know it is called something else now but I grew up with that name. When I got to the top, I couldn’t get over the view. What was freaky was the glass platform that is attached to the side of the building. You stand in it and look straight down. I know it isn’t the same as being in NYC but I had in the back of my brain, tall building, planes, try not to think of it

The only casualties from inside the towers on 9/11 were people working in the offices there.

I can see why some people are anxious about going up there being that a huge terrorist atrocity took place on the site decades ago but you have to remember that the odds of this happening ever again are very, very thin.
Airport security is ridiculous now, the building itself is reinforced with a concrete core that’s so thick nothings going through that fucking thing. There are more core fire stairs in place, better emergency exit awareness and huge air con units that are capable of dissipating the smoke away from upper floors, lift engine rooms that are likely strategically in place on different floors to prevent any of them not working in the event of floors being destroyed.
