This is totally different than what the band used to represent. Check out "The Bloodsoaked Symphony" and/or "Our Endless War"

This was a great reaction. I may be reiterating, but it's these reactions and your openess to share is what's setting your channel apart. Thank you.
For your next Whitechapel reaction, I hope you're able to do my October request from the council - "When a Demon defiles a Witch". Such an amazing track.

Hickory Creek is the song he made about his mother if you haven't seen that one yet.

The more I thought, I realized this a good spot to start.
If you're curious about their more br00tal deathcore sound, their first couple albums are next the way to go.
But the way I'd recommend, is going to their last two albums. This song is from the third last, and is almost like a prelude to the following albums.
They're both loose-ish concept albums about losing both his parents and the situations around it. A part 1 and 2.
Phil lost his dad when he was young, only for him to get an abusive step father in his place. Someone who, as far as ive come to gather, did the opposite of help with her mental health struggles. Some of the album's lyrics are the notes his mother had written, some from the perspective of her other personalities. Phil himself has spoken on the album's meaning at length, I'd recommend reading/listening to it for a full understanding and perspective.
The first one is a lot heavier and has a lot of anger and resentment behind it. Where as the second begins that way, that then becomes a case of grieving and acceptance for both his parents. Again, i'd search up the full descriptions as I can't do them justice
Not only have they perfected their music on the last two, in terms of an amazing balance between heavy drums and gutterals, to acoustic guitars and gorgeous cleans, as well as overall song structure.
But the meaning behind the lyrics truly gets me each time.
