This whole album is based on a journal he found of his mother's after she passed away, pretty deep shit and I absolutely love this album
I can imagine deep shit because anyone I know never fucks with it
@@jameswade787 that's weird because it's a great album
KoRn nuTT ...and it plays out like a horror movie cuz his mother was apparently insane. A true masterwork!
Some of the lyrics were her own words. Look into the story. His father passed away. Mother married a abusive drug addict that got her hooked and she passed away. The emotion in this whole album is amazing.
Agree bro this whole album is fucking savage good shit love them switches to soft slow cleans into those nasty death core lows
Phil Bozeman's cleans are awesome! He have a good voice.
Whitechapel doesn't disappoint that's their thing.
Mark of the blade was pretty meh. But most of the discog is godlike you right
I’m admittedly not the biggest deathcore fan but my god, if the valley isn’t one of my favorite albums of the year I’d be lying
Exactly the same for me, it was the favourite of the year for me so far until Periphery decided to drop Hail Stan.
It is a goodass album from what I’ve heard so far
Literally the only band that started using clean vocals and I actually love.
Edit: lamb of God used them pretty well too.
Fit For An Autopsy's new album has good cleans
Don't quit at 100k, love the vids man, always look forward to them
Also Rivers of Nihil- The Silent Life, I know I have requested it alot and have been annoying. But I promise it is amazing.
Also the demon is his step father and the witch is Phil's mother. His step father got her started with drugs again
It is amazing :D
@Lord Hades True, sorry I got the two mixed
I still didn't get it, is dude really going to quit? =(
@@paganblacker We will see man, enough support and maybe not
Actually, the demon is her personal demon called Mycar who was raping her in the night. That's a quote:
“Basically, Phil [Bozeman, vocalist]’s mom would see a demon outside or by her fireside, and she knew that if she saw it there, then it would be by her bedside that night,” says Ben. “She would write these journals which were pretty cryptic - her handwriting would change every now and again. The song title actually came from one of the journals. It talked about the Devil raping a witch. So we interpreted it, and changed it to give it a better flow. We didn’t want the word ‘raping’ in the song title, so we changed the title, and gave Mathis this vision, and he did his own thing with it.” Phil's mother was schizopheric, she was diagnosed with as much as 34 personalities.
The Black Dahlia Murder - “Nightbringers”
And you can't quit youtube man. You're awesome!
Both of your channels are a daily part of my life! I love discovering new music with 2 dope ass dudes! Much love my dude! Have metal day!
I like all their stuff but this sing is just so phenomenal and gives me goosebumps every time again
Phil is such an amazing vocalist 🤘
And That's Why "When A Demon Defiles a Witch" Is the opening Song from The Valley album
CARNIFEX "BURY ME IN BLASPHEMY" goddamnit
Fuck yes, dude another can't miss for you bro
One of my faves 🤘🤙
Been trying to tell him since it came out. He don't listen lol
I'm super glad you checked this one out! I'm a long-time Whitechapel fan, but for me it was the same thing with the new album: the first few tracks they put out were okay.. but just okay.
And since I didnt really like their previous album "Mark Of The Blade" either, I kinda gave up on them. But with this song they got my full attention back and now I love the whole album :D
Please check out one of their older songs _Our Endless War!_ This is the one who made me fall in love with this band in the first place!
I'm sure that you didn't like the much the newer ones because it included clean vocals and some songs weren't heavy like the previous ones
Like the first albums
The "Demon" is Phils(The vocalists) Step dad, the "Witch" is his Mother btw.
Someone else said the demon was a illusion of mental illness she called Mycur and the song that you described was called forgiveness is weakness. I dunno but that's what they said
@@tacotimefortwo732 What I said is pretty much what Phil said in the press interviews leading up to the new record.
@@chazhartwayne6493 like I said I dunno that's what this one comment said and people seemed to agree I just thought I'd mention it just incase
Phil did an Instagram live whenever the album hadn't even fully released. Just black bear, when a demon defiles a witch, and a couple others. He said that his mom had hallucinations of a demon named mycur that raped and followed her. He does hate his step dad though. He said his step dad and mom did drugs together and basically blames him for her death it seems like
This newest album is next level Whitechapel. I can't be upset one bit. Every piece is nothing short of a masterpiece.
Dude! You've got to grab the album! It's an experience!!
Infant Annihilator - Unholy Gravebirth
Do it. No Balls
No balllsssss
The two songs you checked out are just one part of Whitechapel’s sound. The album before this new one had a lot of the simple groove based songs like those. Also on that album they have a song called Bring Me Home that’s very melodic like this song but definitely different. The first couple of albums are brutal as hell too and I would say you would love it since you dig Thy Art, Slaughter to Prevail, etc.
Whitechapel is great for sure.
Check out King 810-alpha and omega
This song was amazing live, I almost cried recording it when they first came on... lol
I love your personality and love for heavy music. So much fun to watch your reactions man. All the best to you. Also that intro was sick lol
React to Northlane Bloodline!!!
Also, don't quit at 100k, been here since Crystal Lake - Prometheus
Really like how Phil Bozeman can change his voice on high, low and cleans. Love your Architects cap too
React to " The Saw Is The Law " by them
Shit that song is a fucking banger
Forgiveness Is Weakness!
Hell yeah! 🤘🏻
I am shocked you were not into Whitechapel before. They are in my top 10 of this genre.
I will be seeing them along with Kuba Kahn & Lorna Shore later this year
Deadweight by lowlife ft 10 of the best deathcore vocalists is a must listen
Wow, nobody in the comments is crying about the new Whitechapel album :o
Its great right?
Because there are no edgy elitists here that's why
No Need To Complain About This Album, In My Opinion It's The Best Album They've Done.
@@codyjoe9977 I guess I need to really sit down and listen to it then. I think I've only listened to 3 or 4 songs from it. I'd like to see if it tops somatic defilement (masterpiece) for me
You need to check out their video for "Hickory Creek"
THAT video is fucking haunting.
And it's almost full on clean.
This album is just amazing from beginning to end !!! Listen daily 🤘💀🤘
When Benjamin is doing an epic solo and everybody is talking about the rythm section during the solo
i fucking KNEW you would love this! It fucking blew me away! absolute perfection! i wish the rest of the album kept up with this song. but as a stand alone, its flawless. it literally gives me goose bumps everytime i hear it. EVERYTIME. Also i love that you heard that he really meant it cuz he did. its about loosing his mother to drugs and mental illness
New review! Hell yeahhh!!!
Nice morning!
Keep the reviews coming man we need more METAL HEADs like you keep kicking ass !!!!!!!
Yo Galactic Criminal. Can't believe you weren't feeling Brimstone or Black Bear. To be honest Black Bear missed me at first, but after another listen or two, I caught its earworm. Glad this song turned you though. Whitechapel is fuckin fantastic
Hickory creek is a great track too! but its softer compared to the others you reacted to
Softer but one of my favourite Whitechapel songs. Funnily enough Let Me Burn, the complete opposite is another favourite 😂👌
Hickory Creek might sound softer but i think it's more powerful then most of the heaviest songs they have.
Look up prostatic fluid asphyxiation!
one of the best youtubers. dont quite!! \m/
Oh my fucking god, a comercial kicks in on the exact moment he says 3, 2, 1😂😂😂
Hickory creek is also a must listen. It’s all clean vocals but they’re very well done and the song hits deep
Architects - These Colours Dont Run (Official HD Live Video)
Nice Hat Dude #Architects
Dude what about reacting to Motionless in white - Undead ahead 2
This is about phils mom dealing with schizophrenia.
This is an hell of a coincidence, i saw them live yesterday and pooof! Next day an epic reaction on them pops up
If you decide you want to react to them again, I suggest hickory creek if you want softer than this but heavy lyrics and chilling melodies, or forgiveness is weakness which is arguably their heaviest song on the new track.
Absolutely loved the reaction u got a new subscriber 😎🤘🏻🤘🏻
Same girl what have been in the Hickory Creek.
Та же девушка, которая снималась в их клипе Hickory Creek.
The first 2 songs were for live shows they were about to be doing this was the first real single at the time
This album is a fucking banger. Absolutely one of my favorite albums I've listened too, but while being badass, it also tells a wicked upsetting story.
Check out the whole album!
Their best effort in a long time!
Definitely, My Fiancé Actually Cried Her Eyes Out When I Showed Her Hickory Creek
Wonder if we can get this bearded one to have a catch phrase like...AAArrrr, matey....he would crush it, for sure...
you should react to Blood Eagle by periphery. Crazy musicianship!
He did
Yesssss... I give that one an 11 out of 10... Dude I thought your head phones were gonna fall off u were head banging so hard...hahahaha but yea solid band .. love those guys to death...
They sound just as good live.
I was not that big of a fan of brimstone. Saw them live perform it. Now it's one of my favorite song from the album. Outstanding live
If you like the cleans on this hickory creek is fuckin epic!!! Possession I dementia and devergination studies are some of my favorites from their old stuff! Check it out!
As a trap metal fan whitechapel are the first band I listened too a few years ago react to exile by whitechapel
Didn't you meant this is exile?
Phil's cleans sound alot like Maynard.
Hey, dunno if you've seen them yet, but talking of wide aspect ratio check out The Hu: Yuve Yuve Yu.
one of the most unironically brutal metal songs of all time
Vitriol - the parting of a neck. This is some pure heartfelt aggression.
Their old stuff is lit but Phils cleans are pure beauty
Holy fuck, That intro to this video was totally bad ass I fucking enjoy it
At this point any Black Tongue would be amazing ;) love the vids man keep it up
they are opening with this song on their tour. go see them if you can.
glad you enjoyed this track. you should try malevolence - self supremecy
Whitechapel - I, Dementia. Official video is awesome, but there's a official live video that's awesome, too. They're fucking great live. It's their very best song, IMHO. You really should check it out.
You need to check out an old Aussie death core band called DAMAGED, they are no longer together, but were the birth of death core in Australia
I like how you let the whole song play before you did your review.
I absolutely love this album and this song!!! But I can really relate to this one because of my past.
Phill is awesome, the suicide silence cover he did back in 14 is amazing
WE ARE ONE!
Love you bro
Your beard is very good
The only intro i hate from you cause i hate jumpscars and even if its a littel on it gets me every time -.-
Badass slaughter to prevail mask
You need to react to their song called hickory creek. You can't miss that song either. 🤘🏻
Yes he can. Hickory creek aint the same. its more of a "boring" one like the other two he didnt like.
Dude this band is amazing. Def check out some of their older stuff, like This Is Exile, also the Lyric video for Forgiveness is Weakness
I know im late to this, but his mother was schizophrenic, the song is about a demon she would see who tormented her, its a personal song to me cause im schizophrenic as well and have had similar experiences
I dont know why but this video reminds me of the movie A Dark Song
Another great song from whitechapel for you to check out is prostetic fluid asphyxiation
I see that slaughter to prevail kid of darkness MASK I want the mask so much
it's about damn time!
One of the best songs they have written
*the* best song they have written
The only way to listen to Whitechapel is to crank it up!
Great reaction dude, love the vids but sad you're leaving at 100k :( Could you react to Aversions Crown - Erebus, or Hollow Planet If you haven't already seen them?
If you want another goodie check out Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza the alpha the omega
Fantastic! Now you just need to react to Oceano and Suicide Silence then your experience of classic deathcore bands is almost complete 😊
Oceano pls
You should react to Blasphemian by Infant Annihilator
I recommend an unknown band, Objector - My Mind Insane, they're a Belgian thrash metal band
Check out Forgiveness Is Weakness is a very hard song! You gotta give it a reaction!!
Fuck! Don’t do that with the intro 😂
Ok this is a weird coincidence. You just popped up on my feed yesterday and you're reviewing everything I listen to.
Because of that, you need to go check out Car Bomb if you haven't already.
Any song will do.
I personally love their song Bring Me Home think the clean vocals actually work in that song compared to others in Mark of The Blade
Next whitechapel song forgiveness is weakness
Love today's cap
Only interest is what song was playing in the background when you were talking about the band at the beginning?
I've got to say,..now knowing the background behind this song..the fucking terrifying things out of Phil's mother's journal...this song is 20 times more powerful
You're doing the "I need to pee" dance bro...
Haha I was thinking the same thing
That whole album is amazing.
