He lost both of his parents fairly young, he did a song in honor of his mother on the new album as well called "Hickory Creek" if you liked this one that would be a good one as well for you to react to.

this song almost brings me to tears everytime and I'm so glad you reacted to this, it's a song about him loosing his father and how he fought to over come it, it's a very very deep feel sad song
The song is about the vocalist remembering his father and then transitioning into the realization that he's no longer around. And so when it goes to the realization part he burst into the growling. This song was really hard for the vocalist to make because this is literally about his father and his pain. some of the parts he growls are like "I can't forgive the world for taking my best friend" and yeah the suicide part didn't happen because it didn't happen to the vocalist thankfully. And don't feel bad for not understanding it. I do metal vocals as well and it's kinda like singing with a cartoon accent and each band varies how they pronounce the vowels because how you pronounce them changes the tone of the vocals so you kinda have to get used to each vocalist's style of pronouncing.
And keep in mind with every metal band you hear these are not literal growls and screams. These are very technical mock versions of those sounds that's why these vocalists can keep going for decades. But because of its technicality there are limits to how clear you can sound. Though all these vocals are kinda similar to opera. A lot of Latin vowels for the growls and hard and very bright sound for the screams. As an example for a growl, coffee becomes cu-fee or if more of that "pig squeal" sound it would be cra-fee. A scream for coffee would be CA-fee. So hopefully that helps you decode our words lol.

Not many know Phill Bozeman's Story , dude has been through quite a bit in his life. After watching his dad die in his brothers arms at a young age has scarred him pretty bad. Not to mention the crap that came after that. step father would abuse his mom , mom was addicted to drugs which later died from an overdose when he was a teenager , lived in and out of foster homes for the rest of his life. who else knows what he's been through. what I learned from listening to his old gaming videos is that he's the type that trys to stay positive most of the time and stated that things could be a whole lot worse.

missing someone who died. hating the world for taking his dad/bestfriend. i feel how he feel, wants to end my own life coz of the problems ia have, and no one to talk coz my father is my bestfriend and i miss him so much.

the song is about the death of the lead singers father when he was 10 years old. the darkness and the pain he went through. and where he is today with that in mind.
I'm from the same town that Whitechapel is from and that song is a very personal one for the vocalist, Phil. It is about his father who died from heart failure when Phil was young. He had a tragic life when he was younger. His mother also died when Phil was young due to a drug addiction that became fatal due to her new husband. Bring me home wasn't the first serious song about hard topics in Whitechapel. They released "Diggs Road" a few years ago about Phil's mother and "Bring Me Home" was released this year and was the first song in the band's existence that had clean vocals.
