I think you nailed what Phil was going for with those lyrics. It's a struggle to listen to and analyze, but it's an amazing one. Love his lyrics. Amazing vocalist and lyricist.
Do you know Katatonia? Somehow it came to mind. I know the Whitechapel song is something different, yet they have a somewhat similar vibe, a palpable pain, sadness, despair.
I havent heard of them. Might be worth checking out. Songs like these tend to get me in my emotions sometimes and I tend to linger on that emotion for awhile. Its a bit hard to show this more vulnerable side sometimes 😅
@@TwistedGunZ Everyone feels in their own way, there is no need to always show everyone what is inside us. Artificial display of emotions is bad. Sensitivity is necessary for us. I know it sometimes makes life difficult, but to exist without it throws us into an emotional vacuum. Katatonia's songs can sometimes be difficult, but they have their beauty. I recommend you “ Forsaker”, “Departer”, “Austerity”. I'm not asking for a reaction. Just listen and let me know , what you think. :)
