I wasn't a fan of the regular modern Turkish dramas where Muslims were depicted as drinking alcohol, dressing very revealing, and having inappropriate relationships. It was disappointing to see that coming out of a Muslim country and depicting Muslims like this. But then, they started producing more historical Muslim dramas or others depicting Muslims properly as Muslims- and those have become quite popular.

The storylines are good but the dialogue is terrible. Outdated mindsets, a heavily chauvinistic society oppressing women. Some very bad writing on unrealistic plots. Its a shame really as the actors are great. When you live in a society where you are free to express yourself and arent subjected to the terrible gbv as in turkey one starts seeing how backward the mindsets of the men are in these series. TURKIYE NEEDS TO START ADDRESSING THE WAY WOMEN ARE ABUSED AND EMPOWER THEM IN THEIR STORIES.
First of all, as a professor you don't even know that the Ottoman has never become an empire. You can't say Ottoman empire because there is no such thing. Only Western countries say that because they try to clear their bloody colonial history. The Ottomans never did this. They never stole from anyone even Polish historians say that the Ottomans made such important buildings, infrastructure, superstructure with their own money because they couldn't have made all those with the taxes from Polish people because it wasn't enough. But in the German and Russia era they just demolished whatever was there and they didn't make anything for Polish people like they did everywhere else. That's why you can still find Ottoman heritage everywhere from northern Africa to Europe. Please as a TRT world have some respect for our true history if you make these huge mistakes who will teach the correct history to the whole world?!!!!. Note, my replies were deleted so I am writing as belove. As I have already explained above Ottomans did everything to serve people for the sake of Allah. They didn't get enormous taxes and whatever they got they used it for that country and also even more. If you read some real history you can even learn it.Also, only a few churches turned into mosques for the sake of new Muslims over there. Others remained as a church and Ottomans also made restorations on them. But Europeans demolished thousands of mosques or turned them into bars, taverns etc. So you can't compare colonialists to the Ottomans.
Everyone paid taxes during Ottoman empire. Some with food, others with money. Have you thought who feed the Ottoman army? About the buildings - there are remainings of churches turned into mosques, tower built of human heads in Serbia.
@hipotenuza5663 yes, as I have already explained above Ottomans did everything to serve people for the sake of Allah. Changing perception of Turkey in Balkans ❌ Pushing your agenda to Balkan States ✅ But Balkan countries should never forget 1300-1878 how they were tortured during Turkish rule for like 500 years All thanks to Russia and also Austria for saving Balkans from cruel Turkish rule
Listen sir, Turkey did not torture the people of the Balkans, they did not force their language nor did they force the people to be Muslims. While Turkish people were fighting in the fronts, the Balkan people were getting richer and richer. 2 million Anatolian people needed to donate for 2 ships which the British didn’t even give it to the Ottomans meanwhile one Greek man who had earned its money from the ottomans was enough to build the ship which took the islands.
If muslims were cruel the balkans and their culture, language and religion would have not survived, unlike america or britian who totally massacred the indigenous people of their region.@@Theworldsucks-kg5jv
Ottomans would crush your armies, but after that they would collect taxes and leave people alone. Also provide protection. They did not force Islam or Turkish language. They were very progressive for their time. Also they only collected around 15% taxes, less than any empire including Romans.
@@hipotenuza5663 Are you sure that is not propaganda by people who took over your country from Ottomans? To make themselves look like saviors? Is there any Austrian or German watching these series?
Omg I do this in my home to ❤🎉
what ?
in my house we watch all the Turkish network TRT1 the best shows wonderful Turkish shows and beautiful Turkish language
A narrative of their own about history and contemporary dayly life. Soap opera Know how. State support.
filinta bgm ❤
Yes filinta is very good but it's fiction sadly 😢
I wasn't a fan of the regular modern Turkish dramas where Muslims were depicted as drinking alcohol, dressing very revealing, and having inappropriate relationships. It was disappointing to see that coming out of a Muslim country and depicting Muslims like this. But then, they started producing more historical Muslim dramas or others depicting Muslims properly as Muslims- and those have become quite popular.
There is something you are missing. Türkiye is not Islamic country. We are secular and democratic thanks to ATATURK. You can not expect we live like Arabs. We are TÜRK. Don't mistake us with Arabs.
What are you talking about.? Turks are for 66% muslim.!
The state can be secular but that means not that people are also secular.
Turks, with Turkish ancestors, are muslims
Turkish series only on TRT are educational and cultural suitable for families. Series on all the other Turkish channels are not suitable for children below 16 years.
It is extremely undesirable to watch it with the family due to violence, immoral relationships, incestuous relationships such as uncle-nephew relationships, rape, and mafia-style organized violence.!

That's right, brother. We conscious Muslim Turks also did not like and did not watch those productions you said. However, over the years, TV series, cinemas were filmed, songs were made deliberately contrary to our religion and culture.
Nevertheless, although secular generations of foreign lovers who became uncultured and distanced themselves from religion emerged during the Republican period after the Ottoman Empire, we are still Muslims and we are following the new productions made in this Great Turkish Century with interest.
We also pray to those of us who have been secularized so that they will get rid of unconsciousness, western admiration and heedlessness. With greetings and prayers from Turkey...❤🇹🇷

Ertugrul ! THE BEST
I have watched Magnificent Century but after Meryem left I skipped to watch the ending.
For the third time, I’ve tried watching Ertuğrul but I couldn’t go on….I wish I have more patience but probably not my genre and moreover the episodes are way too long.
@@ainiarif6910 I understand, i run in to so many series where i loose interest very easy because i am not associated with character's or culture . Ertugrul - series show a Turkish Culture and Islam and those beginnings of Sultanate of Osman and my Bosnian background have input small tiny interest to see what we got from it in our own habits and what is Turkish there.
Sadece izlediğiniz dizilerde burada yazdığın yazıdan bir ibarettir siz Türkleri hiç tanımadan bu yazıyı yazdığın için sizi kınıyorum

Changing perception of Turkey in Balkans ❌
Pushing your agenda to Balkan States ✅
But Balkan countries should never forget 1300-1878 how they were tortured during Turkish rule for like 500 years
All thanks to Russia and also Austria for saving Balkans from cruel Turkish rule
@hayretylmz again lies. We know Balkan Christians were treated as second class citizens within Ottoman Empire
Because if your people survived without suffering famine in the middle ages even increased in population more than central Europeans, kept their identity, It means that, Ottomans were not monsters as you were told.
...and a surrender to traditional and religious point of view...
