"The guy who has drums set up right handed but plays hi-hat with left hand" as the right handed drummer community forces all left handed drummers (including myself) to use their kits (e.g. at the drum teacher, big band/orchestra), this might be a problem to be solved from the ground up. But, playing left-handed on a right-handed kit does have some advantages anyway :)
