Guitarists: Ugh, dude my hand hurts from today's session
Drummers: *is in a wheelchair*
you see, if guitarists were competent, their hand would not hurt. They would actually be well practiced. What kind of guitarist are you experienced with?
@@fathomlives a terrible one that doesn't use a metronome it seems 👀
@@fathomlives Same with a drummer who has good technique
Is that a reference to Basket Case's clip?
@@admiralrng6506 imagine needing a metronome . This comment was made by the drummer gang
Yes drumming is as fun as it looks.. but also ten times harder than it looks
Definitely.
Yeah, I remember I tried making a drum part for Varien-The Valkyrie Trilogy and Tristam-Truth (xKore Remix) with an electronic drum kit and no double kick. That was last year, when I was in eighth grade. I was probably the most advanced drummer in both Rock n Roll classes, so advanced I kept breaking sticks.
so true! :D
Suer man Or maybe I just wail on the drums more and play more aggressively. That can be it too.
As a drummer, I can definitely confirm that.
2:38 when your room's door suddenly opens on the midnight.
HAHAHAHAH
nu metal sounded liek slipknot with fieldy as bassist an i fuccing loved it
TheBritishMewtwo same
Because Slipknot is nu metal :v
Bruh, learn how to spell 😂
Nu metal is trash
sounds like dry kill logic with korn bassist
I like how Jared is smiling while playing metalcore. It makes me happy🤗☺️
I think he was taking the piss out of meytal
happycore
Nah he was taking the piss, metalcore drumming is a lot harder than that
Doom metal was too freckin fast, couldn't keep up with it
+Blue Knew nope
Nowhere near as fast as beatdown.
+Exotic Eagle Seriously people?
+
+J'zargo It's called a JOKE
3:57 Lars ulrich who???
Ok I just found this comment after a year but now I’ve grown to realize watatata did I just say dont get mad I’m scared
Yea, because that's not thrash..
Let's be honest- he was never really a part of the conversation.
@@Double-X2-Points yeah but started the conversation
@@kelimthomas-heath5257 Lars will always be best known for his incredible song writing ability...not necessarily his technical ability on drums...also, if anything speed metal/Nwobhm drummers ushered in those drum patterns first. Bands like Accept, Diamond Head, Motorhead, Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden...etc. Thrash was basically taking all of that stuff and fusing it with hardcore/skater punk. So if anything, those early punk bands also helped usher in that style BEFORE the thrash bands made it iconic
And Justice For all: “Sorry?”
Beatdown looked like there was someone off camera telling him to stop playing and he kept going out of spite
David Poole he's so angry in that part, he's like," you say that again or else I'll come over there and (violent actions) to you" 😂😂
As a bassist in a hardcore band I appreciate the mix for the hardcore song. 😉
2:14 when ur playing whack a mole and ur waiting for any movement
“Got you there you stinking mole”
BAHAH
It seems like Jared can play any instrument. What’s something Jared can’t play???
Freebird
Silent Studios Music his feelings
Cant play a Mark Gormley song with power stance. Checkmate.
Can he play babies like the Faceless?
But, but... Can he play smoke on the water!!?
Mayo
I want a full version of that metalcore. No lyrics, just instrumental please
All metalcore should be just instrumental
@@aspasiatzeraki1388 opinion.
@@Sniffyy Yes
Don’t we all want it
@@oreo624 Honestly, metalcore sounds good as its heavy chords and progression which should sound nice. It is heavy as well, which makes it exciting. But the lyrics are just... y'know
3:10 sounds like a machine gun
I love the Beatdown face, like "God, I really HATE that fucking china... I'll let him see!!"
Carlo Bassetti glad I'm not the only one who thought this 😂😂
"ohh yeah.... DIE!"
i can't get enough of that face as well hahahaha
Is beatdown a real existing genre ?
G Vis dunno, actually. Seems so.
Beatdown Hardcore, but it sounds different.
Let's appreciate how hard this really is and why drums are awesome. He's having fun and we enjoy it but this is mad skill .
0:21 Why I will always love nu metal
yeah holy fuck that was good
PePsI adZ what song is it hahah
aliumhonda93
His own I guess
Yes probably and I felt like there was a lot of Slipknot there
Nael Shahbaz And Slipknot is my favourite band. Now I see why I like it so much.
The transition from "Beatdown" to "Deathcore"
sounds like one of thee most heaviest breakdowns from some prog band.
3:28 ezdrummer detected bahahaha
Thrash metal had real drums tho yay :)
tucatucatuca? xd?
what is ezdrummer? something like drumagog?
+jmq1984 it's a triggering software
66samus make a drum cover of attila "party with the devil please bro"
The face at Metalcore cracked me up
John Yates I thought I was the only one!
Jared is so talented he can play any metal songs from vocals to drums. Cool guy.
It's all practice
"WHY DO MY CYMBALS CRACK SO FAST!!!!!!!"
Jack's Knack don't keep them so tight loosen them and don't bang soo hard
Jaffe Studios Mate, if you metal drum then just pray
0:41
Honestly I love the sound of Metalcore I hope to write a song like that...
I agree
@@antalyametalkid2353 the song is called lucis ve by banda vx
You forgot the Lars Ulrich style....when he calls the crowd in concert😂😂
I think Kirk Hammett played better than him when they switched spots on stage for fun. 😂
+James Harris oh yeah you're right!!!!😂😂😂
Lars is not a drummer....
+Danny Kross (Danny_Kross) and what he is?😂
He just happened to own a drumkit at the right time and met the right people!
What Lars actually is, is a good arranger I'd give him that, but on drums...naah
Haha the beatdown one was hilarious xD
I loved that one!
Me too lol it was really great!
That face at 2:50 killed me^^
A lot slower than Funeral Doom Metal.
+
0:42 bro the smile is killing me especially how he giggled lol
TLDR: I almost died
0:57 that big smile XD
Should've worn a v-neck for djent
Matt Halpern approves.
Needs more ghost hits
meh. Needs more ghost notes AND pedal hat in order to win american apparel deep V
+Skwisgaar Skwigelf yeah I agree needs ghost notes and those aren't even the right kind of fills for that style.
o damn i still fuckin like djent a lot
Lol your face expression when playing beatdown was priceless i can't stop laughing xD
GVSD3 from what I've seen his videos, I assume beatdown is one of the shittiest genres, lol
Adam Herčík beatdown is the best thing ever
it's not "beatdown"
What about that black metal one tho
GVSD3 I cant stop laughing too XD
Damn that Doom Metal part was awesome
Jonte Thomas sounds like korn
Jonte Thomas i thought he was gonna do something like black sabbath or Ghost
Was just thinkin' that. I guess he should write a Doom album. It's official.
Jonte Thomas me too
Lads and Lasses, the king of sarcasm
exept from korn and slipknot i never saw that much bassdrum in nu metal
Mudvayne
40 Below Summer, American Head Charge...
Peter Wroe-Beacon right, i forgot them. i startet palying bass because of mudvayne
I know Google says that Slipknot is nu metal, but it's really not.
+Scott “Haunted on Paper” Bull it's because the first album was nu metal...
That metalcore riff sounded pretty tight, actually
William Meakins I liked it a lot too
Ah yes.. the video that motivated me to start playing drums 3 years ago.. never forgetting it :).
Do beatdown deathcore, all you need is one cymbal, a snare, and double bass.
You could probably even get away with one cymbal.
To do*
+Stepanov Rock Either way, it's the same thing. Extremely slow and long breakdowns and crushing, yet simple riffs. Black Tongue is a good example.
+௵௵பௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌபௌ I don'f find them boring. I like them a lot, actually. But I agree, Ouroborus is awesome.
beatdown its more close to death metal than you think, he wasnt doing beatdown, he did downtempo (black tongue) listen to bands like cold hars truth, swear to god or 6weapons, thats beatdown
carnifex my dude
- Are you on drugs?
- Nope...I'm playing beatdown.
Yes the “death metal” drums are almost every track by Bolt Thrower and I love it!!
Drum wars needs to happen!Jared Dines vs Matt Macguire
Imp Matt is like the Scallon of the drums
+JeserNoob i know hhahah
First time I see him mentioned outside his own channel
Jared dines vs josh steffen
+Thebestwwechamp1 +1
i love doom metal, but i think i would fall asleep playing drums for doom metal songs like that XD
A hahahahha lol really :D
FUUUUUUNNNNRRRRAAAALLLLLLLLL...

what about beatdown? you'd die
Mr. Bread Hahahaha

0:01 Immortal-call-of-the-wintermoon-face
nu metal wasn't nu metal... because what you've played was fucking gooooood
😂
cringey ass not-even-funny/true joke
don't get it :D
BobiHC sarcasm?
i meant it.. nu metal didn't sound like it at all..
the metalcore song was sick
make it into a full song and ill pay ya 10 doll hairs for it
Yeah man, that's so my genre/style out of those :)
Did you guys hear something? Maybe there's a Ghost here...
Dane Hales i hearing SHIT
more of a death metal guy
0:41 ummmm, Matt Greiner would like a word with you...
That nu metal part was sick as fuck. I wish I was as good as you at guitar or drums.
That metalcore melody sounds beautiful
I'd like to see you make a one man band video since your an awesome musician and play everything
DoramaRx his new ep's?
hes not a musician hes a musician impersonator
He has a song
DoramaRx he has two eps
Omg Beatdown was freaking hilarious
3:40 nobody talks about how good the hardcore part is
I love drum session of metalcore
Metalcore is a humiliation to metal
The Autism Is All Here listen to Trivium, shadows fall, August burn red, as I lay dying, unearth, killswitch engage and all that remains and then tell me metalcore is shit.
The Autism Is All Here The Melody of metalcore is always better. It’s not just fucking constant noise.
SharpEye Productions well the rhythm reminds me of this society’s music which is hideous to me
SharpEye Productions just my own opinion
aye you should do punk and the different sub genres of it
yea
He did hardcore
no he shouldnt
+leerey14 yeah he should
+Grizzly123_ that's why I wanted more
Apparently, I play only Nu metal, because it's the grooves I always do !!
...or the easiest
CoC01 I didn't say that I was a great drummers, at least it sounds good,
***** yeah, these are reaaaally tough
What he was playing was more along the lines of Groove metal. You can't really define Nu metal when bands like Slipknot, Korn, Deftones, Linkin park are all in the same genre. It's way too diverse to have it's own unique sound.
+Giruga x Hakusho Totally agree !! let me say it differently: "I play only that exact kind of things, (1/4 on the hat, etc...) he played as the Nu."
Nu Metal isn't clearly defined as a genre yet, but more defined by the play of some bands, in my opinion
While it is very diverse, it often has rapping or rap influences (Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and sometimes even Slipknot has rapping/extremely fast vocals) or sampling and electronic parts in the background. These are a couple things that can tell you right away if they are Nu Metal, although they aren't what makes a band Nu Metal.
djent be like: kick = guitar
2:41 When your brother see you playing the drums...
When you realize he's better than most metal drummers when hes messing around...
XDNickXD2012 He's actually pretty average. He's great at coming up with original fills and stuff but he can't even play the bass drum that fast. And he only knows like 2-3 blast beats.
XDNickXD2012 Except he is decent at best lol listen to rest repose it's garbage. All the drummers he makes fun are then copied for his band because he is a shit drummer.
Do you remember the "Watching other drummers" clip from "10 things drummers have to deal with"...?
Because I certainly do...
I get you dawg
Firstly, the faces you make during some of these are the identical faces I’ve made playing those styles. Spot on!!!
Secondly, you’re definitely a talented individual. Thanks for entertaining us Jared!
Why am I here I'm a guitarist
Edit: your cymbal is broke
You're like me, you see metal in the title, you click. 😁👍🤘
@@ebrgenetik1306 yea pretty much
Terraria it can be chipped like that or even have some cracks and it still will work
Terraria yeah his cymbal really needs to get a job
@@arisgouvas536 ah ah! Shut up meg
Dare putting 2:14 Beatdown on 0.5 speed. Hell awaits... lol
I put it at quarter speed. I managed to grow a beard waiting for it to end.. .
haahahhaha
So you say that synth-like distortion is hell level of dark? I gotta agree - there are synth artist who can go really damn dark.
Silent Service try it on 2x hahaahahahah
Cedrix Pagapz 2x is still slow as shit
Why does Jareds metalcore riff remind me of the 2008 metalcore scene Lol…I miss those days
Who took a bite out of your crash??
Djent needed ghost notes and a v-neck lol
FUCK YOU DJENT DONT WEAR NO V NECKS
+leerey14 you dont deserve nathan hale on your profile
DØCTER HYDRËN
Wow shit somebody who knows who this is. dope.
I own all the games all but burning skies
*cough* uh, Matt Halpern from Periphery *cough* XD dude, he's a killer drummer. IF you haven't heard of him, look him up.
Me drumming in music lessons 3:04
Everybody else 2:26
Ahahahaha this gave me a great laugh, I feel you mate
Truee
Such an amazing drummer. Seems like you had the most fun with Deathcore Thrash Metal and Djent. Infinite respect \,,\
3:18 Unanswered; Suicide Silence, anybody?
MockingBunny321 B I got you lmao
A little bit
...
It actually is a part of his song "The Psycho" - Jared Dines. It's not bad, he has good vocals too.
3:11 The Psycho off The Dark?
beatdown is the funniest. just look at the hate in his eyes
Are we not going to talk about the fact that at 1:37 Jared went full 50 year-old mode?
I really like NU METAL
me too but i cant find the same music strack thing
BomberMan Gaming He did it
Diego Neyra slipknot psychosocial. i try to search song after nu metal :(
3:27 look the ride
What about It
?
1:11 if A7X’s crossroads went death metal
I love that guitar griff at 0:55
i feel sorry about your cymbals
Jose Bolaños cymbals are supposed to be smashed and bashed, you probably play soft as fuck
Drumface who the hell tells you that? the cymbals are supposed to be played and sound musical, not bashed and smashed! the cymbals are not made to be broken, and look that A custom...
you don't need to make your cymbals cry to play hard
Jose Bolaños idk bout you man but i play with passion.
Drumface and thats great man! i actually play really hard too.. but i work on my technique and i never break a cymbal..
Jose Bolaños same here brother, ive never broken a cymbal. Happy drumming!!
0:13 sounds like Slipknot
Sean Arato too slow for slipknot :> more like korn
Normal slipknot and korn are simply nu metal
@@foursquare50 to slow?
Lol no
Yeah
Сергей Харитонов h
Hhh
*WHAT THE HELL WITH BEATDOWN* ??
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2:14
Beatdown is like yanking without letting it out.
He can play drums better than lars
Basic casiB anyone can
Lars just got REALLY REALLY REALLY fucking lucky
i thought there is a hair inside my phone screen, lol.
deepwoodskentuckian How? he literally was the one that came up with the idea of making a band. He writes songs and is pretty much the creative force in metallica.
You put a piece of hair on my screen!
his face funny at the beatdown :V
Damar Agung well spotted
Nu Metal Always in my heart bro! Let's bring it back!
I legitimately love that transition between the metalcore and death metal ones
comoooon man, you've already did something like this
Jared Dines: Better Drummer than Lars Ulrich
Any Real Drummer : Better than Lars Ulrich.
+Christian Augustin any drummer at all and most guitarists: better than lard ulrich.
Stop insulting Lars Ulrich D;
But can he beat Tomas Haake?
***** Tomas Haake is a God amongst men.
911 : this is 911 what's your emergency?
A Lady : i hear shots!!
911 : what kind of shots?
A Lady : 3:10
Poor beatdown. If he fucks up, people REALLY notice.
Metalcore fav
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake more videos
Потрясающая харизма))
he can djent
4:43
ive always see it funny how a djent guy talkin bout doom black or death metal
3:25
this is why some times slayer is not thrash metal, sounds like Pride in Prejudice
Diego Ajcip slayer can be hardcore sometimes too
I just loved how happy the metalcore drummer was haha 😂
Metalcore made me want to throw on some Killswitch Engage!
These stuff never gets old 🤘🏻
I'm not sure Jared has heard much doom metal. That section sounded more like downtempo deathcore.
Not to be a dick. Just an observation.
Yeah, totally agree. He doesn't seem to really have a grasp on anything here except for Deathcore, Metalcore and all that jazz.
Exactly. They're all too far from the actual drumming those styles represent.
+Nicolas Bertin I hate music elitist. you guys are so cringey. stfu.
+Nathan Faux I'm not an elitist. I'm just saying the doom metal section doesn't sounds like doom metal.
Doom metal at 2x speed is me playing the drums
Creekcon ooof can’t relate
Doom metal at. 5 speed is me trying to play. Black metal at 1.5 speed is how I played live.
Why no power metal?
Power metal is all about the guitars. The drum sound can be whatever. (with exceptions)
It's either the CaCa beat or the Boot-camp-Booty-camp beat
*all of style i like it but....*
*i love thrash, death n black metal so much*
If all Nu Metal drums sounded as epic as that it would have never gone out of favour, out of favour.
I might believe that our drummer hasn't quit understood our genre, we doing like beatdown stuff, and he totally looks like the black metal part 😂😂
The metalcore one cracks me up every time
I like how you threw a bunch of people off with the metalcore thing :D
what song is at 1:00
Hey Jared, does the last "djent" tune exist somewhere as a full song? I really like that theme!
