Woman’s Fake Check Scam At Walmart Fails Miserably

- On October 2nd, 2022, officers responded to a trespass at Walmart. An employee notified the police that a previously trespassed male and female had just tried to cash a fraudulent check. Officers immediately tracked them down. The male ran away, but luckily, other officers were already present in the area and chased him. Shortly after, both of them were taken to the police units. They were charged with resisting arrest, fraud of 250 to 500 dollars and contempt of court.

The first large corporation business to go 24 hours was Dunkin Donuts. Because they were worried about getting robbed, they offered free coffee to cops. Cops would sit in a Dunkin and fill out their paperwork. That’s how the whole ‘cops and donuts’ thing started.

6. Show me video proof (RIGHT NOW) that I was speeding.
7. I’m not talking to you until I call my Mom, Dad, Attorney, Uncle George, Auntie Rose, and anyone else I deem necessary in my contact list

The real issue is they will be out on the streets reoffending within a day. If they never got out of jail for 10 years they may think twice about scamming

I had mail stolen by a neighbor once. They got a bill I was paying out of the mailbox, took down my name and bank account number, and actually sent the payment out. They then printed their own checks with the name slightly altered. They managed to use two of them before I caught it, and thankfully the bank reimbursed me the stolen money. This was in 2004, when paying with checks was more common. And I didn’t have internet, so I would call an automated number to see what my balance was and what checks had cleared. This woman was lucky, since she said she didn’t even know about the checks. I agree with the officer that informed delivery is a great way to keep on top of what’s going to be arriving. Stay vigilant everyone 😊

My local town office didnt take cards until like a yr ago. So prior to that i always paid with a check. I had paid yrs ago with cash and my water got cut off saying they never received payment, luckily i still had the receipt and they were able to figure out where they messed up. Paying with a check is great when it comes to things like that. Even if you lost the receipt youd still have proof it was paid.
