Love the review, I like the perspective of someone who’s actually used them. A slight comment on the smell, you could use acetone or rubbing alcohol and brush off some of the residue on the rubber. Works great on climbing shoes to get excess chemical residue off. Check on Jim green in the future, they have lots of barefoot styles and options

hey after a year with the boots I have had 15 stitches come out!!! about the same kind of experience I would expect from a pair of boots from walmart. soo ya think what you want. I do need you clicking any of my other videos. you are to close minded.
Right now I have the Vivobarefoot trackers. Love them, and they're being discontinued. This is why I buy 3 pairs whenever I find a great boot. Too late for this one, my search continues.
Ya it is sad that good boots always get discontinued. It is a sore spot for me. Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to watch. I greatly appreciate it.
I love my Vivobarefoot Boots! I have the Tracker Forest Escapes. Vivobarefoot in particular, always changes their stock so with them, if you like it, I mean REALLY like it, you'd better buy three pair because it probably won't be there in a year.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I do not know what the chemical is. I am guessing it is the out sole tread area that is the cause. However it could be the glue and that would explain why not everyone has noticed the smell.
I'm thinking of buying these boots as my first "barefoot" style boot to wear at and outside of my residential remodeling job. Im currently weighing the options but in this price range the Bearfoot Bruin is looking like the winner
I Did hear your daughter. Thank you for doing this review, Im a barefoot guy have been for a long time. Im a farm worker. It's hard finding a good durable barefoot boot and I have run into the discontinued problem many times. I watched the Rose Anvil on these shoes, and was considering buying a pair. I see this as a positive review. Your complaints are minimal and I like the fact that they can be resoled, think I will order a pair. How are the sizes? do they run small or large?
The size runs good for me. they are actually the only shoe or boot that is actually wide enough. So they may run a tad big for some but they lace really solid. They have more positives than negatives and the negatives are small. The second pair I got did not have the smell. I think they are worth it for me.
Carolina work boot ST cause they got that 4E. the best pair for the price for wiiide feet from my experience. Im about to try the barefoot boot Trekker High as a walk-around boot to also allow my feet to rebuild muscle etc
I know a blacksmith who is a large guy with big, flat feet. He gets the foam anti-fatigue floor mats and cuts his own in-soles out of those, and wears through them in about a week. His reasoning is that the foam mats are a lot cheaper than replacing his work boots as often as he would have to otherwise.
thin-soled boots are exactly what I'm looking for. I bought the Lems Boulder Boot Grip and i'm pretty disappointed. they are stiff, heavy and got a narrow toe-box due to the leather construction.
Love my pair, but buy in your Brannock size no matter what. I bought a pair half a size larger than my Brannock since I was primarily planning to wear thick wool socks with them. Ended up getting horrible blisters at my heel even with the socks. Maybe my ankle is too small or something but I couldn’t tighten down the laces enough to keep my heel from lifting. I ended up buying heel pads and they completely fixed the issue. I’ve now done multiple backpacking trips with them and no problems ever since. I just wish the heel counter was thicker and more contoured to actually hold your foot in place.
Not completely true, I bought mine in the correct size and the aggressive slope in the toe made it impossible for me to wear without curling my big toe under. I had to go a full size up in order for my toe to be ok. I only wear a thicker merino/alpaca wool sock so that takes up the slop in my ankle/heal area.
thanks for the review on these. what's the width of shoe in the toebox and heel? it looks like the heel is super wide, and the toebox is only slightly wider
Ya I have a 4EEEE and it is the only shoe or boot that has not pushed my toes together. I do not have a ton a wiggle room but I can wiggle my toes. The heel is narrower and cups fairly well. my heel is more of an average width so a decent blend. For me at least. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Less waterproof. They will leak at the second eyelet. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I greatly appreciate it and hope this helps.
Confusing. At 2:30 , you say you are buying a second pair. These. Boots are not for working construction. Not sure why you are wearing these for work. Mixed signals. Your title indicates not good boots. You are buying a second pair. I don't get your point of the video
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I greatly appreciate it. I am sorry the video is confusing. The point is to try and highlight that these boots may not fit work needs. There are limitations. However I am lucky enough that even though I visit many work environments, I am not in a high risk area. I think some workers may benefit greatly like possibly a roofer who is on a constant angle the mobility may be a huge benefit. I just want to help give enough info that someone can make a wise choice. For the money these cost I wouldn't like getting a boot I could use or wear. Thank you again for your comment It will help me make my videos less confusing in the future.
