Wise advice to take things slowly. I just got my first pair, and they feel so good, but I can tell they work my tibial muscles harder.
Love the review, I like the perspective of someone who’s actually used them. A slight comment on the smell, you could use acetone or rubbing alcohol and brush off some of the residue on the rubber. Works great on climbing shoes to get excess chemical residue off. Check on Jim green in the future, they have lots of barefoot styles and options
I don’t even believe you walk.
I’ve been on and off the ERG for years, once your ready to start posting videos I’ll join you on your journey. As you know the ERG is a very powerful tool will do wonders for your health, if you go in with the typical mind set of someone who worked out with weights before it will become very frustrating and seem pointless. Here are a few suggestions, put on shorts, or lose paints without anything in your pockets. You’re they’re to row. Turn down the resistance to 4 or 5 for now, most likely you’ll go down a bit more. Its way to high for you now, notice the pause between the drive, finish & recovery, it should be a single motion. The rower should not burn, you should feel fatigued like after a long walk. At first, I was caught up with strokes per minute, and thought I should feel resistance. Boy was I wrong. As you improve your flexibility and ability to move the other numbers will magically improve. The important metric is WATS over time. Read up on it. Get a heart monitor to connect to the PM5. Scratch the 4 or 5 go to 1 or 2 and keep it low until you can go 500 meters. Focusing on movement. I have to start slow, being over 50 it takes time for my body to get in shape to workout after a long break. Start with 15 minutes and watch a TV show, keeping your heart rate up, with a goal of 2000 meters, then increase to 3K followed by 5K in 30 minutes. The point is your moving and gaining cardo vascular strength. Then add a second 15-minute workout instead of going longer than 30 minutes. Your body will tell you when your ready to pump out 10,000 meters. The goal is to keep it fun, without causing pain. Sore is okay. It’s going to take time, make it part of your life. Don’t stress about your diet for now, one thing at a time, life should be fun, and rowing is. You’ll find you naturally will start to eat better as you get in shape.

For me it's to continue the path im on. I started to workout in July of last year and really ramped it up in September and have remained consistent and continued to do more and more. My main focus is to keep it at a sustainable rate. But for the most part if I can stick with what I'm doing exercise and diet wise through 2025 I'll be stoked.

Good job. And if you want to hit that goal tonight than don’t eat or drink anything else and go pee. Water weighs 8.4 lbs per gallon and your pee is close to 10lbs. Per gallon. So don’t fret about a couple of pounds. You’re doing great. Oh and happy new year.

Thanks for posting an update. Congratulations on hitting 80 pounds! This is a big achievement! I guess the question I have for you is what is next? In terms of health goals, do you have any plans for handling the health situations you mentioned in your last video? You've mentioned in a few other videos about doing videos on recipes and cooking. Please keep up the videos. It's a great way to hold yourself accountable for your goals. There aren't a lot of overweight people that have struggled with fitness that post regularly about their journey and struggles. Most of the time the videos we see are of influencers with people in great shape trying to tell people who are struggling what they need to do in order to make progress. It's great to see your journey as you've started and moving forward. It's inspiring me and I'm thinking of starting my own videos in the next year so people can see my struggle with fitness and weight loss.
You should start doing videos know. I will follow and tag you to help spread the knowledge. I greatly appreciate you watching and getting something out of my videos. that is my goal to help others as I am on this journey.

How heavy are you? Im like 21stone, i cant seem to go down in weight. I feel terrible when i workout and like all my tendons and life force is drained.... Kinda weird as i used to be full of energy. I wish you success, its a very lonely journey trying to get fit and strong or just feel great.
Currently I am 323 pounds. I am not sure what that converts to stone. My heaviest measured weight was 480 lbs, I know I was heavier but I do not know exactly. Ya working out is so challenging for me as well. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it.

thin-soled boots are exactly what I'm looking for. I bought the Lems Boulder Boot Grip and i'm pretty disappointed. they are stiff, heavy and got a narrow toe-box due to the leather construction.
I also have a pair of Jim Green Barefoot African Rangers that I really like.
I was looking at the boulder boot as well and there was more to be desired. I picked up a pair of the Soul Runner TVRs and I love them!
That's great! One of the best low impact exercise Jump rope is good too and simply walking. Stop eating after 5pm and watch carb intake.

Nice, I've started out doing a couple of 3 minute sets for a few days, then three 5 min sets for a few, then two 8 min sets slow and steady at first and then bit faster, I know the biggest thing is developing a daily habit is more important than starting off full throttle. It’s good to see you. Sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Life hits hard some times. I suppose that’s what makes the good days so good. I for one don’t mind a little rambling. Love the commitment man! I started rowing like 2 3 years ago and couldn’t do shiiii because I was cubby and undisciplined. But now I am I a position where I try to gain weight to do better in competitions. This machine or more like this sport has made my life better and I hope it does the same for you!! I would give you Tipps but I sadly can’t really relate to your movements on the machine because of your size. Keep going or I’ll come for you!!!!

Over eating is a common problem most aren't aware they do.
Yes and eating very little of crap and the wrong food is still over eating. Many are addicted to these over processed and flavor designed bombs. I was severely, Thankfully I have been able to overcome this mostly. Thank you so much for your support and comment. I greatly appreciate it.
I like to build my music library, put on my headset and go to work on the rowing machine. I actually prefer working out alone, it lets me grunt and groan all I want. Keep up the work and keep the faith!

Basically if it has a list of ingredients it is probably industrial waste. Don’t eat it. If you need to read what’s in it than put it back. Beef, pork, fish, apple, etc. water, coffee, tea, etc. I know that’s food without anyone telling me. It’s not always how much we eat as much as what we eat. Love the videos. Keep it up.

Sounds like you might be low on electrolytes. You really have to keep them up while fasting. And plenty of H2O. Just keep busy you’re doing great. Walk was beautiful.

On your wall, are those sold as an exercise item for bands at different heights or are they sold as a trailer hold down anchoring system? Or both?
They are E tracks or trailer tie down mounts. you can get them in 2' to 8 foot Sections. Those are 5 foot sections. I am also in the middle of building a platform with them so I can do squats and deadlifts with resistance bands. For a tight budget it is the best solution I could come up with. Plus I really like the workout I can get with resistance bands and trying to be as unsupported in movements to help build my overall stability and function. Thank you for watching and your support.

PLEASE do not do fasting. Another RUclipsr who did it just died, seen this time and time again. You will see research both ways probably but take heed to ones against it. It has something to do with the stomach acid build up with nothing to digest, bile duct cancers often. Please share.

To me right is whatever is sustainable. For me what worked was limiting carbs. I try and stay under 100 grams a day and that by default tends to limit calories. I use a lot of keto ingredients due to them being low carb but i dont think keto is sustainable. Gotta find what works for you though. Bottom line is you have to burn more calories than you consume but how you go about it is up to you.
