Wow that's a huge investment. I hope it pays off quickly for you. I'm glad you're making a decent income especially after losing your job. I hope things continue up for you. Good luck!
@@MintHunterComics great haul there I'm more a dc guy but the dc that was there looked great first batgirl and second appearance of teen titans in showcase
hella jellie! I'm def checking out what I can afford to scoop. I inherited a silver/brz collection of 600 books 400 were DC I'm a marvel guy so I coughed up a lot of them except the Kirby's and a few key issues and after that I kept about 40 or so of my faves after reading them surprised I kept a bunch of Aquaman and Green Lantern more so then Batman. It's all 6.0-8.0 condition so at the time most ppl didn't want them so I kept a lot of Neal Adams books I bet they wished they had taken them now. It's now my gold horde. 😂😂😂
Nice to see yiy excited...used to have multiples 2-4 of all the Marvel comics other than DC in 1980s....DCs were a lot harder to find....sold many in late 1980s to early 1990s....
Crazy collection James. Probably the best collection pickup I've seen in years online. Really happy for you. Incredible to see that many keys just ready for pickup without any fluff. I may be asking a weird question, but where's the claim sale at ?
The artist on Tales to Astonish #93 was the great Marie Severin, an unsung hero of the Marvel bullpen and one of my favorite artist of that era. This is an amazing haul, congratulations.
THANKS FOR SAVING THAT HULK COVERLESS YOU HAVE GREAT TASTE. COVERLESS STILL GREAT TO HAVE SAVED THEM THANK YOU. LOVE THE DC SORRY ABOUT THE SHAPE OF FIRST BATGIRL GO TEEN TITANS.
i feel like this "key" talk in comics is turning into a meme, just about anything can turn a book into a key 1st appearance of this shade of blue on the cover art 1st appearance of the zinc alloy staple in the binding 1st appearance of of the 35 degree rounded speech bubble
Great haul, I have first reverse flash and trickster. I got them both for practically nothing because they are really low grade but I didn't care because now I own them. 😁Great show as always.
I have noticed this one things from years of collecting Marvel & DC silver age comics. The covers of the Marvel's tend to go yellow-brown very easy while I have many 1960s DC comics with snow white covers. I know they had different printers, which may be the problem. Marvel's-Eastern Color. And DC-World Color
How do you do that split screen video effect so a zoom in of the comic shows on the left-hand-side? I just finished an X-men grail run and am thinking about making a video showing the books but I don't know kind of on the fence. But if I do make one I want to use that effect it is really cool! Thanks for all your cool content appreciated!
Killer haul! Nothing like Silver Age books! Too bad a bunch were cover less. I remember back in the 70s my friend and I went to an Antique shop where the owner wanted to get rid of DC Silver Age Comics. He felt they were worthless. My friend and I got some but little did we all knew he was sitting on a gold mine! I wished I purchased more because he was selling them at cheap prices! Oh well! Lol
Awesome to see the low number Iron Man & Subby books! Had 1-10 of both series in 6.0 until '79 when I traded them fo some high grade FF books. Finally got the Iron Man #1 & Subby #1 again recently. Only took over 40 years.
Nice Hulk #1, nothing wrong with a coverless book. My ASM 1 and 9 as well as ASM annual 1 are coverless as well as my GSX 1 with no front cover. Some books you get in any shape you can
Awe man. I hate being paid on Tuesdays. I'll be watching, but won't be able to bid. I'd take a shot at the Batgirl appearances, maybe a few of those ASM ones too. Great books! Awesome grab, man! Keep up the cool and awesome content. Love it!
Where and how to place bids on this batch of books? I have most of these but yours are in better shape, great pick up, I am happy for you, sure beats punching a time clock!!! LOL
Yeah you did pretty good, well done, 2k for this was amazing, as you retail was almost 22k, so that's really nice, hope you di dnot haggle him down too much ;-)
Very nice. Are any going into your personal vault/collection? I know you say all is for sale, but sometimes folks have second thoughts when things quite down.
Enjoy those type of collections when you do get them,......thats part of what its all about,....they wont always be that easy and sometimes we all get beat, ........read some of those jokers,.....like the house that joker built,...!
I'm a huge spiderman collector I'm only missing 80 issues from a complete run, I don't have any coverless issues, my earliest is 17 in probably about a 3.0, I need that 50 and that 66 as always great video and super pick up
Hey James, what's your opinion on grading non-key silver age. I recently got a big batch of 12 cent Marvel westerns (Kid Colt, Rawhide Kid etc.) that aren't anything special but are in such good shape I feel like preserving them thinking in 10 years they'll be antiques anyway.
Can you reveal now what you paid for this one year later? My collection is just now out of storage, will be soon for sale, and is very similar to what you showed here (except ad a run of Fantastic Four #'s 31 - 1971 ! And more!
Wow the Hulk 1 no cover....still with big money....I estimate you paid 40%-50% of just book value which is a steal because most books are worth a lot more
Favourite covers: the late Tales To Astonish and the early Incredible Hulk issues by Marie Severin and Frank Giacoia or Dan Adkins, all three of whom should be better appreciated, and anything Steranko. Favourite villain name: the Creeping Unknown from Thor, it sounds like the title of a 1960s Hammer horror movie with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Favourite single issue: tie between Avengers 57, Silver Surfer 1 and The Shadow 1 (stunning Kaluta art).
From “I massively over paid for this collection” to “the best collection I’ve ever bought!” happy for you man
Wow. This is the type of collection that people dream of finding. Congrats.
Looks like the decision to do this full time is paying off. And I’m sure you’re having more fun at it!
WAY MORE FUN
Wait is his full time job being a comic dealer now
@@Maljig yeah. He got laid off from his mortgage job a month or two ago
@@scottschram5178 that’s good for him

Amazing books, I'm particularly jealous of those spidey keys. Amazing collection, glad you're doing well man!
Great find! It's great to see you doing well after the job loss, and you seem really happy. Keep it up. That was a lot of fun to watch.
What an awesome collection. I love seeing these kind of videos. Talk about amazing James. Thank you for sharing.

Wow. What an amazing purchase! Interesting to see how quick some of them will be sold in your ongoing series of claim sales. Thank you for sharing.

AHHHHHHHH LIVING PRISON!!! DD. My fave. I have three of them.

🎉🎉🎉🎉 That is one of the most awesome collections I have ever seen! 🎉🎉🎉❤🎉But I think X-man #9 is the first time X-men meets Avengers.
Wow this is one of those picture perfect collection pick ups. So much gold in this video
Okay you have to admit ...your money was better spent on those issues than five slabs that may have a 9.8 rating. Those comics are awesome.
Wow! It just kept going and going and going.......so many keys!

Incredible pick-up, congrats! Look forward to Sunday's claim sale.
Looking a whole lot like heritage auctions with all this new inventory!
nice that the Hulk's first page looks like a cover, still displays nicely
I know right?
Wow, that has to be one of if not your best haul yet. Looking forward to seeing some of this at BDCF.
I think it could be! it's def up there
Dude! So many awesome books! Great video, James!

I love the split screen, with a zoom on the comics. At first I thought you had Giant size issues!

So jealous congratulations

I have that Iron Man 10 personally signed by Stan! Been hunting that IM 9 Hulk cover forever. Very nice pickups!
According to Overstreet, Incredible Hulk 105 was the first appearance of The Missing Link.
