- I have finally installed my wheels and tries on my truck. These are 33 inch wheels that give me an extra inch of clearance and this is with no lift. The tacoma is my daily driver and I have no issues with this set up. In the future I will get a 3" lift kit on it but for now its at factory ride height. I used 4 Runner TRD Pro wheels and BFG K02 tires.
If they rub they don't fit. Looks great though.
Gonna be rubbing all over the trails…😂😂😂
Those 285 are 33s...... U hit a bump and they will rub.... Wouldn't recommend this ..... Beautiful truck tho
Was able to find me a truck spitting image of this one! Now I know what it will look like with Nitto Ridge Grapplers!
Look amazing.
Love the truck and Color
I’m buying the same wheels for my Tacoma .
Correct me if I’m wrong, is a page talking about the rear drum breaker the wheel fits ok with axle meet the wheel.
I will appreciate it you clear this .
Thank you
Yes these wheels will fit without modifying anything for the rear. 😁👍🏼
Perfect fit bruv. Nice prep work!
Thank you 😁👍🏼
When you first told us what they charged for the caps I was appalled. But once I heard you call a wheel a rim, I’m on Yota’s side. You corrected it so the price is reasonable.
Left uncorrected, triple the price. (Just a joke)
You forgot the black lug nuts
But looks sharp👍👍👍👀
Yes gonna get those too haha
@@cartips5307 Lol, another item which should have been included with the wheels. I had to buy them and the wheel locks separately as well.
Bro that’s at Salem oregon discount tires
Yea 😜🤘
@@cartips5307 I've seen your truck around Mac. Nice wheel setup!
33 inch wheels!! Holy Shit!! I can't imagine how big the tires must be!!
It’s 33 inches
Do you have to make any adjustment- grind the rear hub for fitment?
Thats the problem with those rims, the 2021s. I ended up selling mine and got the SEMA wheels PTR20-35110-BK
Did you have issues with fitment on the rear hubs? Apparently a lot of people have issues with these since they are designed for the 4runner with discs in the rear and we have drum brakes in the rear.
I don’t have any issues
I just got the same oem rims. They where having a problem mounting them on the front. The back wheels were no issues. They eventually figured it out and were able to mount the front wheels. I got them mounted at Big o Tires. Hopefully I don’t have any issues.
Nice!
Mine is also stock. I have the stock rims with the Toyo 265/65/17 tires. Do you think the Falken Wildpeaks A/T 265/70/17 will run?
yes
I put the Bilstein 5100 shocks and coilovers on my 2012 Taco, moved the notch up one slot which gave me bout 1 1/2 lift. I run the 265 70r17 Wrangler tires on stock rims, no rub. Where I messed up, I switched to a 0 offset Method 316 rim, now rubbing. Switched them out for a TRD like rim with +16 offset, back to no rubbing. Also put on new adjustable upper control arms. Now, about to put in new outer and inner tie rods due to some vibration I'm feeling in the steering wheel. I'm thinking 0 offset rims put some wear and tear on my stock ones.
Did it worth it 😢😢
Do you happen to know the offset
Nice setup man! Im doing the same with my 2021 TRD OR only with bilstein 2" lift with 6112/5160. What MPG are you getting? Did you re-gear your truck?
I didn’t re gear. It’s doing fine with 33s. 35s would need re gear. I’m still in process of saving for a lift. 😁👍🏼👍🏼 I get 15mpg average
@@cartips5307 have you considered a Toyota dealership approved Lift?
@@jonathanguzmanaldapa9234 I have considered to keep my factory warranty. But they only have 2 inch level kits. Not dull suspension add a leaf in the rear for 3 inches
Big benefits to keeping it 2 inches or under.
You in salem or?
What’s the difference between 4Runner and Tacoma trd rims?
Size and looks
Did you lose a bit of performance with the bigger tires?
Not enough lost to warrant, not upgrading it is very minimal losses. The tires are only one wheel size up. It still drives normally not too much of a difference at all in my opinion
@@cartips5307 I just bought a 2023TDR 4×4 and I’ve been researching looking at videos on RUclips and I’m seeing a lot of complaints about performance loss lol making me think twice about doing it
Bro do you have a link where you got the wheels I want to get the same ones !
The wheels are bought at any Toyota dealership. The part numbers are in the description 😁
Did you do a level kit?
I did not. I’m gonna lift it and level later.
What's your offset
Links ?
I have a stok tacoma I think putting the 275/70R17 would be a good idea or is it too big
Those should be just fine no rub no lift
What size tires I’m going with and doing a leveling kit 3” Front, 2” on rear
honestly to complain about 100 bucks building a taco is kinda moot point. Just have fun...
Where Did You Buy Wheels And Tires ??
I bought the tires at discount tire and the rims from Toyota. They are OEM genuine Toyota 4 runner Trd wheels.
@@cartips5307 I Have A 2019 Sr5 Tacoma No Lift Would Something Like These Fit With No Rubbing ?
@@jorgevillalobos4396 this would fit in a trd model no rub. Sr5 doesn’t have the factory height as a trd so there would be rubbing on an sr5
Why you didn’t go with 265/70/17?
That was my thought. I plan to install that size tire on my Tacoma Sport. Falken Wildpeak with AGP wheels.
Just on principle alone I would refuse to buy the Toyota covers.
Right!? Hahah
Those rims are not compatible with the Tacoma. My dealer just sent me a letter about them.
I guess you have no intentions of going off road
Going off road will cost 10k more
he talked about that in the video
@@lukedikta5980 thank you! Exactly.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Those tires do not fit
Why not just buy TRD pro if you are going to make it a TRD pro… kind of dumb
Cause it’s cheaper to make it yourself than to buy it from the dealer and you can make it even better than the Trd pro with higher quality parts
Why dumb
He’s money, he’s choice
@@joseflorian5418 no matter how much $ you put into it, it will never be valuable like the Trd Pro.
It is not a daily driver lol 😅 your rubbing. Do it right .
