Na, I don’t agree, I have a lift on my taco, 3 inch in the front, 2 inch in the rear. It looks great and rode the best it could, did you have a front differential drop down kit? That makes a huge difference.
I have a custom lift on my 2021 pro from Westcott designs, 600-hundred-pound springs in the front for my steel bumper and warn 10S winch and a 4runner flat lift collar to run BFG KO2's 285/75/16.
6" isn't doing it right unless it's long travel. Each inch of lift will reduce suspension droop by an inch. And there is an equilibrium. At a certain lift height you lose articulation. That lift height is usually around 2". Doing it right means you know that true ground clearance comes from your tire size not your lift. People like you who lift excessively to fit bigger tires need to do more research on IFS suspension geometry. Do it right and go down to 2" and get a cab mount relocation done. And then you'll have amazing off road performance.
Great pointers Rob. I have the same tires but no negative offset. Changing subjects a bit, does anybody know why my new Morimoto XB Tail lights have a problem with the blinker signal lights when I have Headlights on AUTO- automatic setting? They work when lights are on, but not on AUTO during the day with only DRLs on. I took the sequential feature off, which is just a harness connector difference within the light itself. Apologies for the high jack Rob.
Rob was there anything wrong with the Bilstein lift on your last truck? I thought you really liked it. Can you tell me how you had them set--up? Did you put the 5100s in the rear also? The set-up I am interested in has adjustments of BILSTEIN 0-2″ FRONT, 0-1″ REAR LIFT SHOCKS FOR 2016-2023 TOYOTA TACOMA. I have a 2018 TRD Sport long bed. Right now I have ReadyLift 3/2 inch lift with Nitto Ridge Grapplers LT285/70r17 on TRD pro 17" wheels with a +4 offset with front and rear mud flaps and no rubbing at full lock. I want to go down to LT265/70r17 and replace the ReadyLift with the Bilstein's. It says that setting 4 is a 1.55" inch lift and the rear at a 1" inch. It does not recommend the top setting at 2" inches for a 4x2 long bed. My question is do you think the Bilstein set-up will work?
Rob. Just saw this video. Great info. Since the video is about four months old has your wheel/lift changed or are you still running stock suspension with 265/70R16 with the -10 offset and no rubbing. Recently purchased a 23 Tacoma and thinking of going to similar setup
I wanna do a -10 offset on mine, I think it looks great. It's funny, I also have been asked what my lift is as well. I never lifted it at all I also do not have side steps, don't really like the look of them.
I have gone back and forth about lifting my 19 tacoma. I said no i don't need any extra problems that cost money I don't have thanks for the info. I have nice wheels and tires I purchased not long ago I will stay with my stock ride no rubbing no, cutting no, no scrapping. That is a huge no go for me.
What size Falken Wild Peaks are yours? I’m highly interested in switching over to them when my current tires need replacing. My Tacoma is not lifted nor do I plan on lifting it.
I tried lifting my Tacoma. All I did was really hurt my back!
Ahh…a literal fella😂😂
Rob, I put side steps on yesterday coming out of Walmart walking over to my truck person opened the door hit my side step dented his door not mine.
Perfect timing 👍👍👍
My 2019 taco with 6 ft box has steps no choice I'm 5'2" lol. Have 265 75 17 with aggressive tires looks and rides good tks ROB

I run a 255/85r16 on my 2020 and i have never rubbed
Lift it!!!! 2022 Trd off road w/ 6 in lift fox suspension on 35 in nitto ridge grapplers drives amazingly …if you lift it do it right
Stop the CAP nitto ridge grapplers alone with no lift rides like crap lmao 😂

Your running stock size tires. Love my Tacoma on 35's.
Aloha Rob.❤🎉😊. You mentioned before that you overdid the lift with the Voodoo Blue that came out with mixed results. You kept things simple.
In one of your other videos you said you were running 265/75/16?

Did you get your tires installed at a dealership or from a local tire place?
Discount Tire👍
Hi, how do you achieve that offset?, are those spacers in there?, and if so, are they safe?, thank you.
No spacers. The offset you see is from the wheels.
Awesome, thank you Sir.
Boss man, sorry to bother again. I may have missed it on the video, but what rims are those?, where did you buy them?
Thanks in advance.

Nothing has changed and I’ve had no problems.
Thanks. Just interested I thought at one point you had 256/75 on these rims. Did you change or did I get that wrong?
Nope, they are the same.

I have to keep my sidesteps for my wife....
Thats what size tire comes on a stock Tacoma at least mine did
Will 265/70/17 with -10mm offset fit with no rubbing?
I have the same.
Can I fit 255/70r17 on my stock 2024 Tacoma sr5?
I have a video in the channel about different tire sizes for the Tacoma. Just search the channel 👍
@robmotive what size rims are you running? are they 16x8 or can you get away with 17x9

Less is often more.
Trd pro can’t wait 2024
Not messing with 23 trail edition
trail edition has a mild lift, 1 inch front 1/2 inch rear. I may try robs settup, see if I get any rubbing.
@@shnerp I’m happy with just that.
20” tires !!!!!!!!!!😂
Question when u put the 265 75 16 on with neg 10 off set did it affect your odometer?
There is a small difference.
@@RobMotive is enough for concern
Is there rubbing the was the other concern
No concern for me. Mine did not rub.
@RobMotive OK thanks
Thought you had a similar setup in the past on your charcoal tacoma with 265/75r16. 75s caused rubbing?
The other truck was lifted in the front. Hence no rubbing👍

Is this stock or lifted?
This truck is not lifted.
You want to get rough with your ride, make your ride a full suspension mountain bicycle. 🚴🏼🚴🏼🚴🏼

How it keeps working the intake?
It works fine👍
@@RobMotive I can’t decide between the one you got and the K&N what you recommend?
@jdonfireofficialmusic5037 What I have is just a rebranded K&N👍
S&b intake is the way
@@alejandrob-c2277I agree, I have one in my 2nd Gen
I think most side steps look terrible. They remind me of poorly made conversion vans of the 80’s and running boards on cars for the 39’s.
Great info 👍🏻
