I went with the 265/70r17 as well. I still have the front air dam, and mud flaps on. No rubs or scrubs. As far as the psi goes. On road. Just run the psi recommended on the door panel plate. Off Road. Depends on what you're doing.
Does the tire hit your upper control arm? Have you had any rubbing issues with your stock pro rims? I plan on going same tire size soon and worried they won’t fit!
@TRDTalk you're welcome. I was pleasantly surprised on how they did in the snow as well. Keep up the videos man! 1000 subs is right around the corner 😁
I put a 265/70r17 falken wildpeak on my factory trd sport rim it’s a 2023 Tacoma and at full lock it almost rubs on the upper control arm I was wandering if yours was close to rubbing there too
I have almost the exact same Sport in Lunar Rock...mine is the short bed though. I hope you stay with this topic. So far you're addressing ALL my concerns. Glad you went a bit bigger (better you than me:) to clear that issue and will be back to see how it goes for rubbing with more aggressive terrain or bumps. I'll be interested in the max MPG hit if any? The UCA stock leaves very little room for any more width...I was concerend if the aggressive sidewall added any more width over the Defenders. My other option was my old standby of Michelin M&S with a more tame tread much like the Defenders but better rated in every clategory. Thanks for this intro to reviews that may follow!
Thanks for checking out the video Dan, glad I could address some concerns! I THINK i’m in the clear for rubbing on both the UCA and Mud Flaps, but I need to stress test on some harder terrain. I’m experiencing a slight MPG hit but I believe my PSI levels being off impacted that more so I need to test that out again. I’ll be sure to stick with this topic :)
I had KO2’s on my Tacoma and Toyo AT3’s on my Subaru. After experiencing both extensively I actually like the Toyo’s way more. The difference wasn’t big enough to cut the life of the KO2’s short but once they wore out I put a new set of AT3’s on my Tacoma.
Thanks for the breakdown on the new plus size tires. Looks great btw. Just about to do the same on my trail edition. also going with a new wheel, 16x8, 0 offset, 4 lbs lighter than stock to compensate for the slightly heavier AT tire. Ill test for rubbing on the front mudflap as well.
ko2 are great man have had them many times on my tundra. Just make sure to rotate them and you will get 50k miles easily its super reliable! You should of went with the white lettering =)

Good choice! These are all weather tires as well. I like my KO2s
They are quiet too
Thanks Brad, they are handling great in the snow. Very pleased 🙏

@@braxtonsullivan3495 I mean it’s relatively close yah but haven’t noticed any rubbing or concerns
I have the wildpeaks on my Tacoma and got sized up to 265/75/16 😊
Niiiice how do you like the wildpeaks?
Love them, love the aggressive look!, my mpg too a hit but nothing crazy
@@KrazyKourt17 awesome. Mine took a hit too!
I am looking to do the same on my 22 trd sport, thanks for the vid man ! From the Hamilton area ! Looks good
Hi from Waterloo! Thank so much for watching, happy to help.
I have a 2023 TRD Sport, I went with a KO2 in 265/70R17 at about 2,000 miles. Went with the "C" rated RWL outside.
Good call!
Have K02s on my TRD Sport. Drove it to the east coast and was very happy with ride and road noise was more than tolerable.
Love to hear it!
I got the same exact truck as you with same rims. I don't like the chrome on the rims to much. Are you thinking of getting some black rims for it?
You read my mind haha yes I will very likely swap with some black TRD wheels at some point

Thanks for the kind words! I’m sure you’ll love your new wheel and tire setup.
I just recently put KO2s on my 2013 Tacoma but went with RWL and think it looks way better than shown on this truck.
Awesome!

Thanks for watching brother! Team black lettering out haha
I see that you still have that front air deflector on. They look better without it imo.
They definitely look better without it. I kept it on for some functional reasons. Thanks for checking it out!
I prefer the 265 75 16 tire with a little more sidewall.
Me too in all honesty, I might upgrade the wheels one day
Can u get them in c rating? I could only find e rating for 16" rims
Looks great😀cheers
Appreciate it!
Have 285s and a 3 inch lift
Seriously considering a lift on my end
255 75r17s on 4runner TRD wheels
Been eyeing the 4 runner TRD wheels myself! Look great.
