I agree with ya.Looks really sharp. I have the same color truck in a LIMITED. Want to lift about 2 to 2.5 inches and keep the rake. I’ve been looking at the same tire setup... 👍
There are some really great videos already on RUclips just search Anytime camera for Tacoma. I did not do a video because the one I used to do the install was really very good.
Antonio DeVoe I paid for the lift and tire installation and alignment all at once and it was about $450. I believe the brand is ready left I went with what the shop recommended. It’s basically a metal block in the back and a leveling kit in the front.
YOLOfotos alright great that’s in my price range. I’ve heard some lifts can absolutely destroy a vehicle. How has your lift stood up months after installation? Also how many inches did you go with? I’m stuck between a 1-2” lift on my 2014 TRD off road Tacoma.
Antonio DeVoe 2 1/2 inches in the front was the manufacturer listed lift height on the parts. For me it’s perfect. Tall enough to look like somethings going on but not so tall that it affects the performance in anyway. Combined with a taller tire you really are as high as an F1 50 or any other truck. Pulling up to a regular Tacoma makes it look unfinished. As far as ride suspension roll nothing has been affected.
YOLOfotos Okay last question, sorry for bugging you I’m trying to mod my Tacoma the best I can. I went to the site “Ready Lift” put in my vehicle. Which SKU # did you get? I’m looking at the 69-5212. So one I buy the lift kit and suspension off their site do I take it to my local auto shop and have them install it? Then ask for 2.5” in the front and 2” in the back. How much lift did you get in the back with your kit, because I know you got the 2.5” in the front.

Man truck looks Awesome! Did you end up liking the Yokohama Geolander tires? They look great! I’ve been wanting to do this to my 06 Tacoma but hesitant to switch from stock lol.
Yes I did. I put them on my daughter’s Jeep. They were the best tires I’ve ever had. They look great and they are so quiet. Never attraction issue and the ride is pretty soft, compared to some of the stiffer sidewall options. Also, the tire is stiff enough where it sits tall you don’t get a bulge at the pavement
Truck looks great!! I have the same color on my TRD sport. Love the bull bars. Does it interfere with the front sensors? Thinking about adding one after seeing your truck. Beautiful!!!

Great video, what brand of 2.25 spacer did you install? And in the rear, you mentioned first you added a leaf then a block. In the end, how much lift was with the add a leaf and block to continue w the rake look? Thank you for your informative video. JC
Check out my Tacoma playlist there is a video that actually shows a tape measure of the difference in height. I would say I did 1 inch in the front and 2 inches in the back.
Very good view... Sick tacoma bro.. love it. after 3 years are you still rocking the same leveling kit? do you like it.. what brand you went with? Im thinking on doing it on my Taco.
That looks good, thanks for sharing. I wish they made those wheels unpainted. I have a silver TRD Off Road Premium 4Runner coming and I would like that design in a brighter color. That grey looks great with your paint.
Those wheels and tires look perfect on your truck, I want to get a set for my 07 prerunner. Good call on no spacers, I had a set on my last truck and it made the truck drive horribly - your truck looks way better without them. Sweet rig, you did it right - surprised you didn’t mention that badass trd pro grill when you were naming your upgrades

Outstanding!!! Truck looks ten-fold better. I have a 2018 Inferno TRD Off Road and plan to update my wheels and tires at some point. No hurry per the wife 😀. I am more of an aesthetics person and love the look you now have. I too don’t like tires that stick out too far. Nothing wrong per se, just not my style. Sharp truck and great videos. Take care!
Fezz’s Tacoma thank you! I appreciate your comment. More to come! The mounted ratchet straps I put in the bed are amazing. Posting that video this weekend.
How do you like the ride with the new tires ? Any road noise? I have wrangler Durartack 265/70R/16 to me they are bouncy and make lot noise. Looking for a quieter tire. Nitto grapplers was told is a better tire hmm
I found out recently that Yokohama change the design of these tires but the model that I purchased I love them they aren’t noisy at all they look aggressive very stiff ride but that’s expected from the higher load rating I did do a video on six month ownership of these tires if you look through my channel it’s on their
Nice!! In your opinion are this rims more off set that the previous ones. I have a 4runner 05 lifted 3” with 285/70/r17 BFGoodrich AT and it’s rubbing a bit on the front so I’m considering between 1/4” or 1” spacers or TRd pro rims if they are a bit more off set. Thanks
I’m not sure. They stick out about an inch more than stock though. Here’s the link of the wheels in this video: TOYTOA TMS TRD METAL GRAY 17 IN WHEEL PTR20-35110-GR SET OF 4 FJ 4RUNNER TACOMA www.amazon.com/dp/B00T83316K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_vIWUFbZBV6ZC1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Great video...I am wanting to do the exact thing - upsize the stock tire on a new Taco from a 265/65/17 to 265/70/17 and add a 1" spacer, but was unsure if there would be rubbing. On your final setup, can you confirm your tires sit flush against the body? The stance seems wide enough and no need for a spacer.
Correct. Spacers make the wheels stick out further than the fenders. They are either aligned or in just very very slightly like a quarter inch maybe. The wheels are offset this is why they are basically aligned. Zero mud or water sling occurs.
@@bobbygfl thanks for the reply. I think the truck looks real slick. I am surprised you had some rubbing considering the leveling kit - I thought those tires would be no issue. I also love the TRD rims - do you know how have much more of an offset they have as compared to your stock Toyota rims?
@@jamesjesnerbeck I do not. Here’s the listing though if you can figure it out: TOYTOA TMS TRD METAL GRAY 17 IN WHEEL PTR20-35110-GR SET OF 4 FJ 4RUNNER TACOMA www.amazon.com/dp/B00T83316K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_91nLnlvo8bTBE
Tristin Smith thanks! Agreed. I didn’t remove them but I cut them down. Check out the video. What don you think of the tapered look? ruclips.net/video/D4rarsIANTc/видео.html
I was trying to compare how much your stock wheels stick out compared to the trd wheels with no spacers. Looks like the trd wheels stick out slightly more than the stock wheels. Looks good.
TheTacoMan yes. Slightly more is accurate. I’d say perfect without spacers. I think the wheel offset combined with the way the tire sidewall ends up because of the mounting bead at the rim makes the perfect alignment with the fender flare. Thanks for the comment!
Do you have a video on that front camera installation? Also what type of front camera is that, I’ve been wanting to install one on my taco but haven’t done the research yet
@@bobbygfl Well I honestly really need your help. I’m not too knowledgeable in this area. Like I said before I purchased these wheels for my truck. I then ordered some tires from NTB and tried having them do the install since they were already mounting the tires on the wheel. They told me that the wheel did not sit well enough on the hub to even get half a turn on the lug nuts, and that I would either need spacers or extended studs to make it work. I was a bit conflicted by this as I thought that because these wheels were Toyota that I would have no issues and would be able to just slap them on no problem.
@@wisewilcity this video shows you the wheel hub and the studs. This video has nothing to do with your problem it just shows what they were talking about. They are saying those studs are not long enough. ruclips.net/video/lvmwz8OXhhc/видео.html to my knowledge the SR5 hub is the same as the pre-runner hub. I really have no idea why they would say they are not long enough. And the fact that they said you need a spacer also doesn’t make any sense because a spacer would reduce the wheel stud distance not increase it. What they could possibly be telling you is you need to order new wheel nuts or Lugnuts they the same thing that are deeper. Are you dealing with a dealer or a shop. You may want to call around and get somebody to explain it to you. I like to start with can you explain this to me like I’m a fifth grader LOL. I did replace my wheel nuts because I wanted black wheel nuts but The original wheel nuts did work. The question for the dealer would be “are The hubs on a 15 Tacoma SR5 the same as a 15 Tacoma pre-runner?” If the answer is yes then this should work if the answer is no then find out what the difference is and if it’s the size of the wheel studs then that is actually your problem and these wheels will not work. I’m pretty sure when I ordered my wheels they asked for my Vin number to verify that they would work. That’s another option you can go back to where you purchased the wheels and have them run your Vin and see if they fit. Good luck
Those TRD wheels are perfect match for Your truck, Looks great.
Roam TV thank you!

@@bobbygfl thanks man. Yes please let me know about the running boards and send me the link when you gets chance. I want mine to look just like yours. Thanks for the wheels link as well. I’ll check it out👍
Nice truck i don’t have a taco yet but when i do im going for something very similar you your set up definitely removing the decal I didn’t realize it looks so much better without it 👍
Thanks
Looks great. I have the same in white and it needs new tires soooooo! My 2015 has 42k miles original. One owner. Would u do anything different at this point. I do not off road
Nope. They are awesome. I put them on my daughter’s jeep and she loves them also.
Thanks for doing this! I’m looking for same adjustments! And it’s great to see in this video!
Matt XR thank you!!
What size are rims and tires? Looks nice
Thanks! 265 70 17. Rims are 17x7.
What a change, awesome!
RockaMoros thank you!
Do you have a link for those small pull down steps in the rear of your truck

Thankyou
Great video, what brand of 2.25 spacer did you install? And in the rear, you mentioned first you added a leaf then a block. In the end, how much lift was with the add a leaf and block to continue w the rake look?
Thank you for your informative video.

Check out my Tacoma playlist there is a video that actually shows a tape measure of the difference in height. I would say I did 1 inch in the front and 2 inches in the back.
Very nice tacoma can you send me link of bull guard please thanks man
Thanks. Search for vanguard brush guard Tacoma. It’ll come up. I got it on Amazon. It’s for a 2016 and needed modified brackets to get it to work.
Looks great! I agree and don’t really like spacers so kudos.
Thank you!
I love those rims! I have a 2020 TRD Sport 4 x4 same color - Magnetic Gray - those rims are sweet!
Thank you! I get lots so many compliments. Thanks for the comment. The 2020 is awesome!
Love those rims... I can't find them lower than around $250.
Thanks! Wow they have gone up. I paid 800ish.

Agreed! Gotta see for yourself first! 😎👍🏼
Thanks!
Very good view... Sick tacoma bro.. love it. after 3 years are you still rocking the same leveling kit? do you like it.. what brand you went with? Im thinking on doing it on my Taco.
Yes and yes! The brand is in the comments I think. I had a shop do it and can’t remember. Readylift maybe. Very simple spacers.
@@bobbygfl Thank you sr
That looks great man! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Can u link me to the front leveling kit and rear axle block that you used.
I’ve the same wheels in black on my white Tacoma. Great wheels!
Thank you I don’t have a link because I bought them through the suspension shop but they’re made by ready lift.
That looks good, thanks for sharing. I wish they made those wheels unpainted. I have a silver TRD Off Road Premium 4Runner coming and I would like that design in a brighter color.
That grey looks great with your paint.
thanks! i think the metal they use does not make a good unfinished look probably. ive never seen them unpainted.
Love the look! Great job!
Thank you!
awesome rig man n looks !!!! hey will the wheels fit without lift kits and spacers???
no, without the front lift they would not fit. thanks!!
Were you using hub centric spacers? I had none centric spacers and my truck rode like shit... changed them for centric, drove fine afterward
Carson Chase thank you! I totally forgot I put a new grill in. And yes they were gun centric. Still didn’t like them although the ran fine.
What brand are the sidesteps/nerf bars? Great looking truck!
Chris Fernandez thanks! Here’s the link to the updated version. Havoc HS2 Black Hoop Nerf Bars Truck Steps (fits Only) 2005-2018 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTSYI96/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_u-swEbB006GA0
We’re the lug nuts not long enough because of the spacers?
Angelo Farace no. The spacers have new lug nuts pressed into them. The first set of Lugnuts I ordered wrong.
Curious Bobby, what do you do for a living?

I found out recently that Yokohama change the design of these tires but the model that I purchased I love them they aren’t noisy at all they look aggressive very stiff ride but that’s expected from the higher load rating I did do a video on six month ownership of these tires if you look through my channel it’s on their
It looks phenomenal
Thank you!
Thanks
Yes for sure. I’d say 1/2 offset wider. Thanks!
Did you use red Loctite on your spacers? Also did you use anti seize
I did use Loctite I believe it was blue
Truck looks nice. Great info in the video. Safety Note: Please use jack stands next time you lift the truck
Great advice. Thank you
What is the offset of those wheels? Looks sweet .
@@bobbygfl Thanks. I’m thinking on getting a set for my 2020 4 Runner Venture, but black. My venture has the gun metal gray ones.
@@junnijune6597 these are holding up. No chips or scratches. Maybe 10k miles on them.
@@bobbygfl looks much better without the spacers. Your rig looks sweet.
@@junnijune6597 thank you!
265/70/17 is the biggest size with no lift or cutting or upgrades needed. Clears fine.
What offset did those wheels have. I see Ted has a couple options.
Here’s the wheel link. Hope this helps. TOYTOA TMS TRD METAL GRAY 17 IN... www.amazon.com/dp/B00T83316K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Your truck looks really great! I would remove the mud flaps...then it would be PERFECT.
@@bobbygfl I believe the offset is different between the stock wheels and the TRD so spacer would make the TRD wheels stick out more than the factory
@bobbygfl do you know the difference of the offset between your stock wheels vs the Trd?
@@patricknaj69the stock wheels are +30mm offset, and the trd wheels are +4mm.
Do you have a video on that front camera installation? Also what type of front camera is that, I’ve been wanting to install one on my taco but haven’t done the research yet
I didn’t do one because there is a couple great videos already on RUclips. Look up anytime camera for Tacoma.
that looks very good man. love the overall result
Thank you very much!
Did you put bigger mud flaps on to prevent rock chips?
no, i actually cut them to make them smaller. and there have been no chips.
Love the look man! I purchased these wheels for my 2015 SR5 and I was wondering if you had to put extended wheel studs to get these to fit.
I did not. The studs were fine. Thanks for the compliment!!
@@bobbygfl Thank you for your prompt response. 👍🏽 Do you mind if I ask you a few more questions regarding the wheels?
@@wisewilcity no problem. Ask away!
Good luck
Looks great. Makes me miss my 15 Taco.
D SAL thanks!
