This was 10 mins from where I live. Missed the 98 gig at Haigh Hall as working at the other side of the world that year. Waited 7 months for this. 30 mins into Richard coming on got the worst sciatica attack I ever had. Had to leave and tool me an hour to get out of the venue and get a taxi. Couldn't walk more than ten feet at a time. Gutted. Will see him again because he was brilliant for the little I saw, and he is a Wiganer like me
Was at the show last night at Robin Park, Xmas gift from my son, both of us travelled down from Scotland. Brilliant vibe, beautiful people, John Ashcroft, Grace and Lisa were among those people, and Mr Ashcroft did not disappoint. What a Showman, Legend, inspirational, and btw, who put the big blocks of cheese on the stage for him to fall over? Best gig I’ve been to, emotional, uplifting, phenomenal. Thanks Richard and of course the beautiful people of Wigan.
Richard shouted “Yeah” before the song because I shouted “CLASSIC” unreal live this fella ❤
