May i ask if you remove the filter and just leave the spot empty, would that be a full spectrum conversion? Or are there other filters glued to the sensor?

How does one change the filter on BMPCC 4K since the IR cut comes with the black frame attached and the IR filter online doesn’t have black frame please help
I think is a product sourcing issue of the IR cut filter. All others brand of camera also have IR cut filter, but other brand dont encounter this problem.

Great video! Did you have any problems with sensor calibration or focusing after taking the sensor out? I need to clean the sensor of my fuji X100f and im afraid to unscrew the sensor to clean it like you did on this bmpcc. I cant clean it from the front because its a fixed lens 😢
Might have something to do with the shims on the lens mount. Or your internals are not mounted 100% correctly. Even fractions of a mm can alter your focusing.

You don't need to open the whole camera. Just do what he did from 3:17 to 4:48. Opening the entire camera is just a risk to your hardware.

No issue with focusing as tye the camera is using sensor to focus unlike DSLR
