Hello, I am having an issue where I cant seem to fit my Soligor Ef-s lens on my 800D. Both the body and the lens mount are flawless without any damage, but the lenses cant seem to fit. I cant turn the lens to mount properly. They just wont turn. I have never dropped them neither hit them. Other lenses are mounting fine on the body. Can you please suggest any advice on how to proceed?

Hey, i did this cleaning 2 years ago on this lens and it worked fine, now after 2 years my autofocus stopped working. I can hear the motor spinning but doing nothing. Manual is fine. Do you know what part should i be looking at repairing?

Found a brand new Hero 10 for additional 20usd than this Hero 4K. Is it really worth getting the 10 than this with that price point? Thanks.

Great video! I have this exact lens, and after a recent shoot, my focus limiter is stuck in the “far” position despite the switch being returned to the “full” position. I am asking for your advice, should I disassemble the barrel from the back as you did here to access that mechanism, or do I only need to remove the front barrel section (which you did not remove in this video)? It looks like I might be able to access the mechanism with just the three barrel screws, one of which is hidden under the nameplate. Just wanted to ask before potentially going about it the wrong way. Thanks in advance for any help, and I appreciate you making videos like this one for us DIY types!

It's almost the end of October 2024, and here I am watching your video! My lens lost it's autofocus 3@4 years ago, and I was contemplating on buying a new lens. You saved me a a couple of hundred bucks! I just bought the replacement flex cable, and hopefully my repair goes well. Thank you so much! Automatic subscription from me.

Thanks! I only needed to pull the front to clear out some weird junk on the back of the front element. Your video showed me how easy it is. If I'd taken it to the shop it would have taken weeks and a couple hundred bucks. Much appreciation.

It’s a very good tutorial. My question is instead of using hot air gun to melt the glue which might destroy surrounding part. Is it possible to use solder gun heat at head of the screw with a very short time?

All I have to say is a HUGE THANK YOU. Took me well over 5 hours because I kept going back to the store to purchase more tools but managed to take my EF 24-70 apart, exchange the aperture module, put it back together and its back into working fully! All thanks to YOU and following your guideance. You just save me €2.5k that I was going to drop on an RF 24-70 f2.8. Really Can't thank you enough!

So glad to see you again! I have never heard of the Hero 4K. The audio seems to be better than some of the other GoPros. I can't wait to see it compared to the Akaso cameras.

Video @ 12:08 - HERE COMES THE WORST STAGE OF THE REPAIR ! - There's a reason that it took him several minutes to complete the Focus reconnect (Observe his watch; minuets go by). - Best to have the entire lens UPSIDE DOWN in order to mate the two assemblies. And don't forget that you're installing metal screws into plastic (Go easy when tightening)..
