You are the first person to mention that the LE now has external Mike capability. I own a new LE and the dedicated mike. I am looking to buy a second Akaso, not sure if the 7 would be a better choice. I am starting to think the LE is just a bit better than the 7.

I bought it as head mounted cam for documenting the contents of the boxes of my possesions that I am "editing" to send most of it to ebay or into recycling & keeping only what I cannot replace from Ebay etc at a later date. Anyhow its 4am here I've got to get some 💤
Just saw you wearing a Maclaren F1 Jacket. I have a bunch of mates who work all around the F1/motorcross/Indicar business round including a mate who is a lead software engineer for Maclaren. The guy who owns the house (& rents it out) next to me is a consultant designer of F1 breaking systems and used to work for Maclaren in Guildford.
I have had mine for a while but all the videos and photos I take come out very grainy and the quality is not good, no matter what resolution I put the camera in. The videos you have shown here are way better than what my unit puts out. The videos all look murky as well as photos. Do you have any suggestions or could it be I just got a bad camera.
Are the lens on the newest model of brave 7 le as the one you did a repair on? I would like to remove the infrared glass on it to make it a night vision camera
Good luck with the 7 LE. It always chooses an unreasonably high ISO introducing too much noise. I have been in touch with customer service about this issue several times with nothing but excuses and patronizing replies like "this is not like real camera, needs very bright light" etc. This is even when I send them side by side comparisons with 7 LE in 4K and an ancient 1080p Eken showing the terrible noise issue. Could easily be fixed with a firmware upgrade I suspect, but obviously they are content churning out this garbage. This will be my last Akaso.
I just bought a Brave 7 LE [$112+tx - Amazon] and guess what? There's *NO* "Brave 7 LE" under the front screen. [I like this better.] Does this make it a 2023 version? I'm trying to find the firmware and see it's version number/date. Just checked: Here's the Model/Firmware Info: >>>>> *Model: Brave 7 LE-386-6G Ver: 20220511-FXM-V2.1* According to its Setup, it offers an option for >>>> *External* Microphone. I inserted and formatted (in Camera) >>>> a *256GB card* [Samsung Pro Plus] and was able to take a video and save it to this card.. Also, for this version, the packaging is slightly different --- instead of the blue box, it is a grey that matches the camera color..

If u want your video to have 2 different angle. I prefer u get the same model, as the color is slightly different.

How can I find out the firmware version from the box and is there a camera release date on the box?
When you rotate the cameras you should change to models text on screen at 3:38. So certain thing is cams at 3:40 right side is Brave 7 LE.

New version have no Lettering on the body. And box are different from region to region

Why is my akaso brave Le is grainy when im recording? Even its 4k its grainy? Whats the best settings?
Shooting in low light will be grainy. If u use Stabilzation, it will crop in and will show more grain
