Conclusion: don’t buy HyunKi car
Cause its solution is so beyond dumb for Kia and Hyandai engineers!!! , the software is junk and useless it disables your ignition permantly if your ALARM GOES OFF !! KIA AND HYANDAI NEVER EVER WILL BE SMART ITS COMMON SENSE , BACK WINDOW SENSORS TO MAKE THE ALARM GO OFF HOW THEY GET BROKEN INTO IS THE BACK WINDOW
Or kia!! Crap brand of a car!
@@keithlamb7028the cars are like $21,000-29,000 and monthly is like 500-600 I know this because I sell some
When poor people go to a dealership and ask for cheap cars Kia and Hyundai are the ones that’s pop up on the list notice how the cheapest ones are the most stolen Aka Kia and Hyundai
@@keithlamb7028KIAs have gotten significantly better in terms of reliability especially once they make it past the 25k mile mark. Usually if it's past that point, you'll know it'll last a long time if you take care of it. Especially with the newest ones.
Who was the genius that thought it was a great idea to rob Hyundai's n Kia's. I swear the amount of time ppl have to do fuckery is unreal kmft.
@@Hdkrbrjfofjfndkele when u start off saying "who was the genius" were not saying they brilliant at all just a figure of speech. But you are absolutely right, all u need is a screw driver.
Who was the genius to make cars have no disable ignition software , but Kia and Hyandai are retarts & it’s engineers , no back window sensors caused all the fuckery to even have time to fuck with someone’s ignition cause the alarms on all other brands the back window broken alarm goes off and disables it . All the software is to disable the car if the alarm goes off which it won’t when stolen and broken into , cause the back windows have no alarm sensors on the back doors 😂. This is really fuckery the engineers kids must’ve started stealing peoples cars and showing daddy’s work that he didn’t finsih cause daddy wanted Kia to go out of business and Hyandai
No bs they are literally the only car I like I hate suvs I driven a 2007 suburban and a dodge journey gt 2019 fords don’t make sedan I don’t want a Honda the quality decrease Mazda 6 is ok Toyota I hate the infotainment system

Dear Huston Police Department, From the daughter of a mechanic, the steering wheel lock is only a minor deterrent at best. You can cut through a steering wheel easily. Hundya and KIA need to take full responsibility for the disaster they have caused for vehicle owners and their communities. Almost every other manufacturer made the shift to immobilizers years ago. I don't care if it hasn't been written into federal law yet, anti-theft prevention, these manufacturers should be forced to retrofit these vehicles with immobilizers and alarms. Or give the owners full retail value to buy the newest version of their vehicle with the security system included. The free steering wheel lock is an insulting and pathetic response to this situation. The price of
installation of an aftermarket security system is close to a thousand dollars. The manufacturer doesn't have a system that can be installed after the fact or even one that they would recommend. A police chief in my state has so had it with this situation that he would like to see all of these vehicles in question forced off the street with a recall. The AG of my state is one of eighteen that is suing Hundya and KIA. I hope they win. Good luck to everyone.
I just Had my Kia 2018 stolen and I just had a newborn. This is such bullshit. Kia needs to rectify this in a major way.
This is great!! 3 months without my vehicle due to Kia automobile theft in Connecticut.
Had to wait for ignition lock being shipped from Korea. 3 months, worst experience an such a violation.
Dont buy them?
Insurance companies refuse to insure these car's.
@@EW-uw7dgYa but if you have a tracker then you can find where the crash site is😁👍🤦♂️
It’s just retarted I knew about this before the Kia boyz , they ain’t the first ones who knew about this I crashed my car and I accidentally broke the steering column and seen a usb Can work but I didn’t show it off in 2013 on my optima . This was someone’s child that they showed when they daddy worked as a engineer at Kia how it all started was the engineer did illegal things to bankrupt Kia’s and to rob customers in 2015-2023
Where did you go to buy the ignition lock
My car was 50 feet from us, Hyunda Tucson, in a reserved spot we pay for in our apartment complex that has ZERO security. They tore the entire steering column up costing us 2k in damaged and now im afraid once we get it back--no matter what I do it'll just get broken into again and cost us more money. I can't pay my rent because i need my car to work and I lost my job because of no car and now i have 17 days to figure out how to make 2 grand or these apartments will give us a 3 day notice to leave forever. IDK WHY THESE COMPANIES FUCKING EXIST BRO
We had the update, and our car was broken into and they tore apart the steering column to check if the update was done. They couldnt take the car, but gave us a large headache with insurance.
Check this out. I know people with these Kia and they’re literally being dropped from their insurance for no other reason then because they have this car.
Thank you!!! Wish I would have seen this before Labor Day.. we lost ours. No glass nor alarm so we were shocked to find it gone.
The glass is inside your car, they push the glass into the car to get in. My mom had hers stolen same way, no glass but when we got it back; the glass was def broken and inside the car, nothing in the driveway that night. It took 6 months to be recovered though, already had a new car and had to pay $700 to get the car towed
That’s when mines was stolen just got it back today from the repair shop
Maybe KIA/Hyundai take responsibility and fix the problem
They have and they are. Campaign 993 immobilizer software and P32 Campaign. Our dealer has thousands of cars eligible in our area. Wouldn't be surprised if they add more recalls.
Simple is they won’t they’re retarted , they will put a software out but won’t fix the dam back window sensors this is how it started out , someone’s child broke the back window and the alarm don’t go off and disable the vechile , Kia and Hyandai act like just doing a software for a problem that’s not even the problem is . Koreans are just being more retarted day by day making cars , cause Kia’s won’t be stolen nor Hyandai if the sensors to make the alarm disable the dam ignition and system in the ignition to make the alarm go off to begin with . They need to fix the back windows on the Kia’s and hyandais it’s not the dam ignition it’s the dam windows too is why people still tempt when they can’t even steal a dam Hyandai or Kia anymore with the new update , stickers don’t help , Kia thinks slapping stickers on Hyandais and Kia’s will scare kids away only a horn and alarm will scare people away !! Kia and Hyandai are dumb but hyaundai isn’t dumb it’s just the guy who made them right died and passed away , Kia took over Hyandai
@@McKoby1337 No they haven't. I drive a Hyundai with the software update, hidden trackers, third party alarm and immobilizer, and steering wheel lock. Despite all of this I have been denied car insurance (no tickets or accidents) due solely to the risk of theft. Hyundai has done nothing to compensate me for higher insurance premiums because the budget ones will all deny coverage.
@@georocksharrisI'm sorry to hear that. My insurance actually gave me a lower premium because of the theft issue. Regardless, I have one with push to start so it doesn't have the same vulnerabilities that the keyed versions have, but it is good to know some insurance companies are more understanding. My aunt went to the dealership for her Hyundai software update and got it updated. Two months later while in church it was stolen. A week in a half later she spotted her own car in traffic while driving a rental car. She immediately called the police and they arrested the little punk. He had been using her car to get back and forward to work. Not one starch was on the car. He took real good care of it. He had washed it and my aunt said it was clean in the inside 🥴DAMMMN shame
Steering Wheel Locks can easily be dismantled by the thieves. Get a fuel cut-off switch. Expensive yes, but worth EVERY cent!

Do buy a Hyundai/kia (I’m a mechanic so I really dgaf what you buy) made after 21 they have immobilizers now. A quick and cheap way to check if ur car has an immobilizer is to look for some sort of security light or a light that looks like a key silhouette inside a car silhouette (car warning lights are weird man)
What sucks is that idiot criminals typically will not know which model years are affected, so in all likelihood later models will continue to face theft attempts. Best thing to do at this point is NOT BUY anything made by these shitty companies.
Now I know... 2023, jus got up 7:30am and the dam SUV is stolen ( Santa Fe) Hyundai 2018.. Drill bit heads left in my parking spot, , key hole was drilled out. So much for needing keys. Now we have no vehicle..Lord .. thank you because you always provide for those you guide.
My kia is in the shop now they werent able to get away but i cried like a baby. At this point im thinking of just doing away witn kia but im literally months away from being done with payments
My Kia Soul was stolen this past Saturday night. They even took the brand new car seat I bought for my baby. Just sucks.
A Class Action lawsuit should be in the works people need to be compensated... I'm ready to sue personally because the dealerships are profiting off of this, sometimes they double the price for the glass.
Ban TikTok !!
Why?
Why don't they just fix the main issue by replacing the steering wheel and key. They should have built those cars right from the beginning. Now their owners are the ones suffering. This is the reason I sold my Kia before it gets stolen. I'm not buying Kia nor Hyundai since they done little to nothing to fix the main issue. Why keep supporting a brand that won't back up their customers, it makes no sense.
Kia sent my daughter a steering wheel lock. She thought it was safe to park on the and it was stolen anyway. I feel they should be responsible because that doesn't work.
What year vehicle?
Huh? How did they take the steering wheel lock off?
@@ibrahime3194easy lol😂
I have a newer model that isn't affected by this as it already has an immobilizer given it's a push start system. However someone else may not know that.
What else can be done to show your vehicle is not easy pray? I suggest not getting a steering wheel Lock. They are useless but what is better is the lesser known brake lock.
Brakes aren't easy to cut & are a necessary function to drive a vehicle last I checked. So I recommend this over a steering wheel.
I wish I could offer a better suggestion. Other then changing your emblem on your car. Sad it has come to this kind of tactic just because of some stupid TikTok challenge. :(

Kia and hyundai need to be fined by the government for this...they're costing ppl thousands of dollars behind their mistakes smh..i will never purchase a car from neither company but ive witnessed someone go thru having to wait a month to get they're car back smh...insurance only covers 30 days...
This isn't a problem at all if you get any of the GT-Line and higher trims because they're all push to start and have the theft deterrent systems that are lacking in the LXS and below models. That being said, starting in late 2022, this problem has been addressed and fixed at all trim levels.
@@thatoneguy9473So that just leaves tens of millions of their cars easy to steal from 11 model years. And we will just blame the customer for not buying the more expensive trims. No big deal.
@Mawyou I'm not saying that. It's still a glaring issue that would have been easy to fix from the factory. I'm just saying certain trims actually have the security features that keep people from using the most common method to steal Kias.
