Brother thank you so much for this video. It's seriously seriously seriously made a difference in mine and my roommate's life. I don't know if I could have taken this task on mentally if I didn't have your video. It really helped our lives
Just subscribed to your Ch. I 'am having the same thing done to my '09 F-150 SXT this very day. You wouldn't happen to have a video on replacing the brake pads would you? LOL. Great vid!!! I have to do my rear pads, figured I'd do the front @ the same time.
Thank you for watching. I dont for that particular vehicle at this time. Most disc brakes are very simular process. Here is one on a mazda, it should probably show you enough for you to tackle yours... ruclips.net/video/1iTn2c8NRBo/видео.html
I keep hearing to replace the I.m. with a ford I.m. not the dorman due to vacuum and coolant leaks that the Dorman is no good just wondering how yours did mine:2010 ford f150 4.6 any feedback is helpful at this point
Its been a bit since I did this one and dont remember. I believe if youre able to get the egr apart (as I was unable to in the video shown) and can work the ignition coils out, then you can. This is also noted in the video.
The intake manifold gaskets take care of that. The plugs sit down in the heads so I believe the coil holes in the actual intake are sealed around the coils anyway. Its been quite awhile since I did this job.
Hey great video. so i just did this. and i got the intake but there was few differences but very minor and non performance oriented. I.E no coolant hole on new gaskets. had to tap rear left cooalnt burp hole with a blug. thats it.no leaks.i put it on and torque it. she will not stay running now everything is plugged up. itll fire but wont stay running. what could i have possibly done wrong. please and thank you
I just had to change my intake on 2008 stx and still has leak at the back of motor, pass. Side next to fire wall . By passed the heater core. But still have leak. Where is it coming from?
Could be from the back of the intake if not sealed properly. Could be the head gasket. I definitely could not tell you on youtube without looking at the vehicle.
Gaskets werent installed correctally, gaskets moved when manifold was installed, manifold is cracked or manifold isnt torqued properly. Those would be your most common.
I'm really not sure on that. I kind of don't think so. I think that's one of the causes for replacing it as well. Without researching it, I really can't say. Google would be your friend on this question. I'd look for a Ford geared forum.
Do you use any Gasket Sealer Paste, with this Dorman Intake? or does it not need it? Do you need to use plumbers tape for the Hose Connector & allen screw closure cap, on the thermostat housing?
Im prerty sure he had a diagnostics done on it. I dont do diagnostics in my little shop. My clients tell me what they need and bring their own parts. I give them discounted labor, no taxes and no fees. I try to help those I can. In a world of dieing kindness, I try my best.

@@112997733 glad to hear!! Thanks for watching :)
What is the torque specs on both steps of the tighten process
Btw folks the 09 Ford 150 had two different 4.6 motors, this one in the video is the 2 valve and it is totally different then the three valve 4.6.
Thanks for the tip!
This helped a lot.

Does the new manifold come with needed gaskets? I seen you pull that gasket off out of the valley. The new part just shows an o ring for each runner
Most will. Id advise you to make sure when you order/get yours.
Which engine is this? I have a 6.2L xl 2012 with engine ticking noise, would this be the problem?
@mrraimbault9287 a ticking noise could be many things. I cant diagnose cars on you tube, im sorry. This is a 4.2l as stated in the description.
Question
Did this intake have imrc valves?
Im not sure, sorry.
at 2:52 do you know what the name of that connector is? my new intake manifold didn't come with one but I have a connector for it like yours.
According to Mitchell/Prodemand, thats the PCV Heater Element Electrical Connector.
@@MegaMilesBen appreciate it. I broke mine on disassembly. Going to a pull apart for one tomorrow.

This is a clients car. As far as I know, everythings still good with it.
Could the manifold come out with the fuel injectors in?

Is there o rings around spark plug in kit on intake

Check all your air/vacuum hoses.
@@MegaMilesBen i just thought of something. i didnt swap out the oem throttle body gasket with the aftermarket gasket

Could be from the back of the intake if not sealed properly. Could be the head gasket. I definitely could not tell you on youtube without looking at the vehicle.
Could be the oil pressure sensor too. I belive thats back there as well.
Coolant bypass tube, thats what happened to mine.
I replaced this in my 2008 Ford F-150 and when I filled the coolant y got a lot leaks, any idea!?

Do you know where is the vibrator damper located at ?
Im sorry, Im not sure what youre talking about.
Can the Control Module on the back of the Intake be replaced? I think mine is bad, Burning alot of fuel, I keep replacing passenger Cat.

No gasket maker, both the intake and thermostat come with rubber gaskets.
how long was actual time to do this?
If I remember right, about 3-4 hours with the coolant bleeding too.
@@MegaMilesBen thanks, I think the the book calls for 5 hours
Do You know what's the torque maniful?
For the 4.6l intake manifold bolts, they are torqued to 89in-lbs.
@@MegaMilesBen yes 4.6, thank you 😊
Book shows a long sequence for torquing specs. Where did you get the 89lbs. from?
@@EdisnFox All my torques specs are directally from Prodemand/Mitchell.
I am struggling to find where the brake booster vacuum line goes
I really do not remember, Im sorry. According to AllData/Mitchell its on the topside at the back of the manifold pointing toward the booster.
For some reason Im thinking its on the backside of the manifold about midway down.
My ford f150 09 is leaking. Same problem
Good luck!
How much would you charge to do this on a 2009 ford 4.6
Hi. Please text me at 720-357-8192. Thank you!
It’s looks exactly like my 2009 f-150 4.6
I guess my intake is broken too because I replaced just the gaskets and still leaks from the back smh 🤦♂️
Unfortunately, thats not uncommon. Im sorry to hear that.
@@MegaMilesBen it makes a sound I think is the water pump tbh makes a big noise when is hot but like in the bottom might be the water pump
You can get a stethoscope real cheap at harbor freight to help pinpoint the noise.
@@antoniomoreno16 can be the Belt tensioner bearing.

Hi, I have a 04 Expedition my intake is all aluminum do those crack as well? I am leaking coolant from rear left corner.
Why did you replace the manifold?
This one had a crack and a gasket leak.
