I see, tempting, for Arturia customers it is now on offer for 99 Euro, in stead of 499. But I'm not looking forward to explore 34 effects and their multitude of presets, interfaces and capabilities. Great review. I started with FXC3, upgraded to FXC4. I've used them quite a bit. Their creative FXs never really worked out for me, however. I never could get the granular effect to sound very musical for example. May be it's me and not the plugin, but I've found other plugins that work much better for ambient sounds. Also, the incremental difference between FX4 and FX5 just isn't worth the cost, even at a heavy discount. I do like Arturia plugins (I have V Colelction also), I look forward to FXC 6.

@@IanWaugh Right now it's Other Desert Cities by Audio Damage for me. It 's a delay that does granular, but it's a *whole* lot more. Also, it has LFO's and env follower that can modulate any parameter. So it does slow moving with ease, but it also does odd random things that still sounds musical. I bought ODC on sale for about the same price as my FX4->FX5 upgrade price. ODC was a lot more value, I think. I definitely agree on Arturia upgrade pricing. I have VC9 and upgrading to VCX just isn't worth the price. I understand they have a business to keep up, but still. I'm interested in buying an Arturia hardware synth someday though, and I'm hoping VC11 is worth upgrading to when it comes out.

idk.. bought the new efx one + the free efx one but didnt upgrade to the new version since it didnt feel worth it for two new plugins
Yes, Arturia's upgrade prices are bonkers - you need to make sure you really want the new additions and they are good value 🤔
