Be careful out there at night, I just read a story about some 15 year old oxygen thief pushing a 70+ year old woman off a wharf and she couldn't swim down in VIC.

Make sure there's no snags.
Tie a treble hook with a ball sinker and make a couple of casts with that or a jig head and plastic first.
If they get snagged, then you haven't lost your expensive blade. 😊

Have you ever stuck your hand in the treble when the fish struggle? Why don't you use lip grip the flathead and lure is so close your hands too close for comfort lol😂.
I've never had a serious issue with trebles and I hope that stays that awy. Unforunately lip grips can be bad for the fish too, you need to support the fish or risk it's mouth being gouged wide open

Those ST grubz paired with spin wright green uv jig head is the best thing I’ve ever used. The red eyes are so effective. Its 3 grams and above but a loop knot sorts out the snags and helps the plastic be semi buoyant

Hey shroom in was wondering why some people offer me 3 to 6kg rods for kingies and jews using big baits and some people say i should get a 6to12kg rod
It starts on the light end at around 3-6 and the popular heavy limit of 6-12lg. If you’re using ‘big baits’ you’ll have to be the 6-12kg end. You can use a 3-6lg with some skilful angling and drag runs but you won’t be able to cast a big bait
