Michael Nelson is a wizard with his horn arrangements. I've been following Cory Wong for almost his whole career, and ever since he started collaborating with the Hornheads, and Michael doing the horn arrangements, it's been one of the best musical adventures I've ever been on! OH, and lets not forget adding Dave -freaking- Koz into the mix, of whom Cory is a huge fan of. I'm just beside myself having been a sax player in my more youthful years and idolizing Dave. I'm just so happy I'm a part of all of this experience, even if I'm just an avid listener. I feel so privileged!
Dave's grin coming out on top of the modulations @ 4:58 on epitomizes my definition I gave my daughter six years ago when she asked by my daughter what is Jazz? “Jazz is the music when the musicians are having more fun than the audience.”
This whole album is fantastic, but this song is easily the best track. The tune itself is stealer, the arrangement is so so tight, the energy incredible. Been waiting for this video to drop for awhile!
I am so excited ... Going to see him ... September 17 2021 at the Riverside Casino... on Delaware Ave ..in my hometown city Philly... just can’t wait 😊
Patek Philippe would be jealous of the precise timing that was orchestrated in this hit. Like a well oiled machine, this band knows WTF is going on. Well done guys.
Some of the cleanest, most powerful playing I've ever heard. It's groovy, it's fun, it's exciting, and it's unique from start to finish. Absolutely STELLAR track!
This song was literally put on as thesis material in Indonesia (in Indonesian Language only) digilib.isi.ac.id/1883/ "ANALYSIS OF TOGETHER AGAIN'S SONG AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF BABY SAXOPHONE IMPROVISION DAVE KOZ (1963~) ON THE WORK IN THE PRESENTATION OF THE JAVA JAZZ FESTIVAL 2012." So it has a special spot in Indonesian modern music culture and indeed a nostalgic piece 🤩 Best regards from Indonesia 🥰
He released this song in 1999 on his Album The Dance. It got major air time in retail stores and grocery stores. Uni likely heard it long ago without realizing it!
Had the honor Dave seeing you and Mindy with my new husband of 6month .I'm out the door to get you NEW sounds. Thanks hope to see you again in San Diego in 2023
No argue, Dave is still the best sax player even until today. For decades, his music is everywhere, in news, sport shows, movies, talk shows, radios, retailers, ads, product brands, etc. I thank Cory and friends to add him to the performance. I myself has been in music since I was a kid, I played drum and keyboard as mid schooler, and guitar to my favourite instrument in high school. I played music in cafes when attending college and now I play music in my spare time at home. Dave's albums are one of the most influential aspects that support my musical journey for all this time. His solos, notes, lines, runs, compositions, and everything has made up and inspired many of musicians that we know today. I am glad that his age doesn't affect his musical ability. Be healthy and be blessed, Dave. I'm your biggest fan!
Dave and Cory just have some of the best chemistry I've seen, musically and otherwise. There is such a mutual respect, understanding, and admiration between the two of them and they really bring out the best in one another. For those lacking context, there is an interview where Cory talks about discovering and falling in love with Dave's playing while watching videos of sax and drum solos online. So for Cory and Dave to take one of Dave's all-time classics, record a stellar updated rearrangement, and include a drum and sax breakdown.... magical!
I love Dave's tiny wee curved soprano saxophone. I'm sure it's super difficult to play it nicely in tune like he can, but it looks super liberating to have something light enough to play easily without a neck strap.
Dave, Cory and the entire band .... this is just insanely GREAT guys! I've always loved this tune and the new twist on it is amazing. Dave the solo section at the end with the drummer is "off 'da chain". What a great video too. Thanks Dave!
Fantastic version of one of Dave's greatest tunes! I am an alto and tenor player, but hearing this made me buy a curved soprano. Now, if I could just make that little horn sing like Dave does!...............
Hearing this pop up on Cory's album was an incredible treat. I actually remember when this track was new, back when I was a kid; my mom used to always have the jazz stations on when I had to stay with her at work and it was part of the soundtrack of my childhood. To hear the signature chorus lick vitalized by this group's arrangement was an incredible past-meets-present experience that felt like a theme coming together full circle.
One of my all-time favorite songs. Dave, please swing back through one the favorite parts of the country you enjoy each summer. Bring your buddy Corey on stage, that would be awesome. We miss you here in the Twin Cities!
This song brings me so many memories of my jazz radio show in late 90’s early 2000’s when I played so many tracks from Dave Koz, even though I met him in Chicago in those days. Excellent playing, great band! It’s great to see Cory Wong in there.
i don't drink coffee, I watch Dave Koz perform.
so he is your cup, coffee and cup of coffee! cool! I would drink coffee while watching his videos! =) I can't stop heheeh

that's what my wife says about my horn too (she has fake tetts)

That's the best definition of jazz I ever heard. 🎷
This whole album is fantastic, but this song is easily the best track. The tune itself is stealer, the arrangement is so so tight, the energy incredible. Been waiting for this video to drop for awhile!
This is a remake of one of Dave's Oldies but GOODIES!!
I am so excited ... Going to see him ... September 17 2021 at the Riverside Casino... on Delaware Ave ..in my hometown city Philly... just can’t wait 😊
I bought "The Dance" CD long ago and this new rendition is GREAT~~!
i would like to dance to this song with you matthew im a guy
It’s an old tune by Dave. Classic.
The opening bars sound like they're from Mario Kart SO GOOOOD
Always liked this song😊
I'm just relieved to see The Punisher has found a happier path in life, playing drums for Dave Koz and Cory Wong.
That man looks NOTHNG like - Dolph Lungdren or THOMAS Jane - playing the drums ? But if U say so
@@d-baserox2773 Punisher Jon Bernthal, on the other hand.
Patek Philippe would be jealous of the precise timing that was orchestrated in this hit. Like a well oiled machine, this band knows WTF is going on. Well done guys.
Who is patek
Lord give me strength, now this is smooth. Elevators beware
Dont forget all the dentist offices world wide!
This song is the only memory I have for my grandmother , may she continue to rest in eternal peace ♥️🙏
A song that came out in 1999? Bot.
The pause part + super cool drums & sax solo simply killed me.
SIMPLY AWESOME! STONE COLD GROOVE...IN THE POCKET ALL THE WAY!!!
Some of the cleanest, most powerful playing I've ever heard. It's groovy, it's fun, it's exciting, and it's unique from start to finish. Absolutely STELLAR track!
How does this song make me feel ‘nostalgic’ even though this is the first time I’m hearing it? Great work from Dave, Cory, and the boys!
Literally. It just pulled a sob rock

The horn section brings me vibes from the band Chicago.
How are you doing

This is the very song that made me a Koz fan over 15 years ago!!!! Blow boy!!!!
Same! Played this album at my wedding on repeat lol!
DEFINITELY THE BEST VERSION EVER ! Been listening to his music for 3 decades and certainly brings back nostalgic moment. Stellar!
To me it's a tie with "Rick's Cafe Live" with Rick Braun. 😎👍
I had the opportunity to meet Dave Koz in person. What a lovely man.
Amène Edoua Mariette 🌹🕯️🙏repose en paix 🎉tu m'a fait découvrir Dave Koz 😢😢😢je vais continuer à l'écouter rien que pour toi ❤doux repos 🙏🙏🙏.
Dave’s sigh at the end of the song was such a release. Incredible arrangement and stellar playing. Amazing !!!!!!!
Dave koz and Cory Wong, how could this get any better
That crescendo out of the drum and sax break - PURE GOOSEBUMPS!!
There are no words! You just have to sit back and let the music take over.
oh my gosh that. solo was beautiful
IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY AHHHHH 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Would impulsively sell my soul and whoever reads this’s soul to hold that soprano saxophone for just a split second.
Loving that every time I go onto RUclips there is a new Cory Wong and Dave Koz video. Keep the summer of funk going!
Such utter Joy!
We love you Dave. Can’t wait to get back to cruising with the Dave Koz Family!
One of the few soprano players who sounds good on the high notes. His tone is amazing!
Ah, FINALLY, the long heralded DRUM and SAX SOLO! Wongtastic!!!
Dave is one of the kind...groovier and smoother than any saxophone player....something Kenny G cant match
No one looks like theyre having more fun playing than Dave Koz, Chris Thile, and Carter Beauford.
I believe this will Unforgettable for next 50 years
4:58 That look when you know you just made magic
Hard to beat this funky, jazzy, tight, syncopated sound...brilllll!!

Can’t believe this exists. Losing my mind.

Such a depth of sadness in this melody. Sadly beautiful.
God I love this song. Haven’t listened to it since I was a kid. Better than I remember. Love ya Koz
Such a beautiful tune, uplifting, and the sound mix is perfect.
Beautiful arrangements ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
The Koz nod has finally morphed into the Koz dance.
I just want to say I ❤ that song...
🎷 🎷 🎷.
I am in love with this album. I can't believe I never heard Dave Koz before. Must be because I live in NC. I am blown away with his music.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The drummer is tight!
Going to Dave Koz in concert tonight 8/7/2021 at The Arena in Houston, TX. Woohoo!!!!
Brutal powerful horn section y Dave's solo at the end... Incredible. Wow.
The horn section is way better than koz, that's pretty easy to see

Fantastic version of one of Dave's greatest tunes! I am an alto and tenor player, but hearing this made me buy a curved soprano. Now, if I could just make that little horn sing like Dave does!...............

My God this band is tight. Wow
Красавчик Дейв Коз
I could never imagine this song can be performed this way with the horns arrangements.... Sweet! Sweet Sweet!!!
Fantastic Dave, I remember in 95/96 listening to the radio Dave said in his program in LA where he would come cook for your breakfast and play sax ...

Saludos desde Patagonia, Argentina.
awwwww yeah! I had a Fisher Price saxophone growing up, but I couldn't make it sound anywhere NEAR that good!
