Nice to see Aiden so enthusiastic for it. Not many people get to do what they love with their dad, him being one of the best in the world also. It can be a great experience, there is no better mentor than a good father. Usually it is so that the kids rebel and want to go to the other direction, and everything the parent does is lame.

It's so good to introduce something new into your workout routine. After weeks of something steady - which is beneficial - keep your body guessing a bit. Introducing a new weight, a new range of motion, or a new pattern can result in explosive gains. Then return to the routine for maintenance and bloodflow. Those 1xRM singles after a workload could provide much needed high-end in the late stages of a big match when both guys are otherwise gassed. Devon could end up the strongest he's ever been when he grips up with Genadi.

I think the max lift at the end is a bit much because as a match wears on, your apponent is going to weaken significantly, so perhaps lessen the last max lift to "win" the match? Anyways, this looks like it would be a good workout to do on a day that, for some reason or other, you had to miss a table session.💪

The premis of the workout makes a lot of sense except for the last two singles, as Auden said, those two reps are very injury prone.
The issues is that the workout doesn’t account for the fact that your opponent will tier during a match, and the weights don’t get tired😂
A good way to adjust for this would be to do isometric holds in place of those two max lifts. You would put about 75% of the single weights you used, and then hold the lifts for 3-5sec. If you wanted to get really nerdy you could add a stop chain to the weight the same way Toddzilla and Artem do for isometrics.
That’s my feedback, and will definitely be giving this workout a try 💪🐒💪

You were all business this time and you absolutely destroyed him. That's your new game plan brother- from now on it's scary Devon. Seeing that kind of dead serious intensity from you was exactly what I've been waiting for. Just your demeanor had Dave scared before the match even started- The same way a Mike Tyson stare would defeat his opponent before the first punch was thrown. Awesome.

The shock of a different routine with different intensity is the KEY to triggering gains in strength and growth...do this once a day for one week.and do your singles throughout the day as normal.then 3 weeks of your normal routine but add weight to your singles..after 3 weeks do another week of this but add to your working weight..and so on for about 3 months then change your working routine again and alternate between the 2 routines about every 3-4 months...also please add some hammer curls or different curl exercises with some triceps work. Push downs/kick backs/whatever you like just build bi's & tri's..2 days a week of chest, shoulders and back would help you both tremendously...you need power & weight via quality muscle....your arm wrestling specific strength is great but raw power will negate it...your power base is now fragile and your son hasn't built & established his yet so do it together...let's go..a touch more raw power with the specific strength you have you're easy #1 in the world...don't look back 10 years from now and say "if only I'd have built 10-15lbs of quality mass maybe I could have"..do it now with your son while you can..you have the time and the opportunity...

If your work capacity decreases by the next workout, that would mean your rest period isn't long enough. Remember, progressive overload over your mesocycle. NB: Heavy to light is safer for Auden and do the harder more dangerous exercises first, then move to the table.👏👏👏 great job!

Hello Devon, I'm a huge fan of you and I've look on almost all of you're competitions, I love arm wrestling and when I'm looking on you enjoying doing arm wrestling that is make me jealous because I never had an opportunity to do what I love to do because my country doesn't promote this sport, but I wish to do an arm wrestling with you in one day or to compete as well.
I hope to do just once with you arm wrestling just for fun if I'm not able to do a competition. Much love man, keep it up!

Of all the things Devon has done for the sport of arm wrestleing one of the greatest is passing the love of the sport on to his children.... A good example for use all... They are the future of the sport

I used to do a lot of deadlifts (too much volume, hindered my progress I think - less is more) and it created a lot of back pain for me. I fixed it by hanging from a pull up bar every day - 4 sets of 30 seconds every day for months. Nowadays I do not have any back pain whatsoever.
