    Dennis Cyplenkov the man, the myth, the legend.. Good to see Larry Wheels shine the spotlight on all these legends of the sport and introduce them to a bigger and new audience to the sport. Anyone who is an armwrestling fan knows Dennis Cyplenkov and his name is etched in granite in the hallowed halls of the sport. Before Levan came in the picture, Dennis was the hulk we all knew. He was the epitome of strength in the sport of armwrestling. So happy to see him again. His battles with Brzenk, Chaffee, Lupkes, Pushkar and others during the Nemiroff/Zloty Tur years in the early and mid 2000s were nothing short of legendary. I think Larry should get Alexy Voevoda to come. We all missed seeing him just like Dennis.

      I like your comment but it kinda sounded like Denis was outshined by Levan and I want to make it clear that that never happened. Denis had to take a hiatus to recover from his health problems but he was unbeaten for years at that time. He's still the Hulk of armwrestling and Levan can be the Silverback Gorilla or something Lol

    • @ahmedmoataz11
      @ahmedmoataz11 2 года назад +11

      "before Levan, he was the hulk" sounded like a wrong sentence. To me Denis is still the man and the hulk we all know until Levan beats him (which i think wouldn't happen). I think Denis has a pretty good chance of beating Levan too, he's back on the track now and to me he's ready to armwrestle and his latest training shows that.

    Denis is really something special. He's so massive and strong, but he's also thoughtful and a true master of the art of arm wrestling. The way he teaches and how he moves, it's so impressive. He's the best, and he acts like it. The way he was so respectful and calm when he was in his prime beating everyone, true greatness. Imagine the war Denis is capable of; Larry was completely spent and Denis was hardly tried at all.

      I agree. Him saying his hand and wrist are not on the same level as his bicep/forearm, is what I've been surmising as what must be happening for Larry to be losing. And I could see his hand being taken in many of the practice polls with guests. So bravo Denis for being honest and being able to evaluate Larry so quickly. Truly a Professor. Larry should take his advice to headt and over practice that one move. Larry saying "when my hand gets stronge,r should I maybe try to take my opponent in another way if I feel I can ?".
      And i was just thinking when he said that, "no cuz dont you think how much faster you'd beat your opponent with your good move...especially if he has a weak hand ?".

      @Jvizzlezz 2 года назад +32

      @MdoubleHB it is healthier to not take drugs, obviously, and i value natties higher than "enhanced" athletes, but you have to understand that literally every sport in the world, everything you enjoy watching, nfl, nba, martial arts of all sorts, even arm wrestling, all have pretty much 100% roided up athletes. it isn't "cheating" as in you're getting a leg up on everyone else... on the contrary, if you AREN'T cheating, you're just gimping yourself, because every single person around you IS cheating. blame awful anti-doping agencies, the fda, usda, etc., for creating such a stupid and broken (and useless) system

    • @nvmffs
      @nvmffs 2 года назад +1

      @@charliemartin2157 Denis is genetically gifted unlike the rest. It's highly unlikely that he took PEDs for armwrestling. He was forced by his team to try HGH when he was still a strongman but it never did anything for him since he already had abornal amounts of it naturally.

      curling your wrist in like that in the strap as he has been explaining from 15:00-18:00 and leading with the inside of the wrist like you are pouring a cup onto yourself from an arm wrestling position will shorten your lever, giving you much more leverage. Since Larry's hands are a bit weaker and he is very strong in his arms and back, he can probably overpower most people using this technique. Instead of curling them, just keep your arm in a locked position like at the end of a curl and try to hold it at that angle and just lean back using the strong muscles to pull them using the inside of your wrist to lead the pin with the wrist curled all the way in

      @MdoubleHB Yes they do, ever seen strongman ? Could they ever have competed as they do without roids ? I think not.
      That is just the tip of the iceberg. Top level athletes in quite a few sport are in some way or another not really natty. That's just the level it takes to get to where they are. It cannot be done natural.

      @MdoubleHB есть много спортсменов, которые ушли из спорта и стали наркоманами. У всех свой выбор. В некоторых странах наркотики не запрещены. Так что это не так плохо, главное это последствия и быть не зависимым от этого. У нас в России хоть и есть службы по борьбе с этим, но я учюсь в колледже и несколько людей в моей группе (классе) употребляют слабодействующие дешёвые наркотики. Алкоголь тоже вызывает зависимость, но не у всех. Так что желательно не пить алкоголь, не курить и не употреблять наркотики, но только вы сами выбираете что вам делать и осуждать такого великого человека за то, что он употребляет наркотики в стране, властям которой безразличны жизни своих людей и они завязывают войну с Украиной. Я жду следующих выборов, потому что достигну возраста для голосования и я никогда не буду голосовать за Путина. Он старый и тупой. Я подумав один час, нашёл более лёгкий способ обнаружить бомбёжки людей на Украине - поставить дроны и на них камеры на 360°. Менять дроны и заряжать их, как и камеры, но показать всем, что реально происходят бомбёжки мирного населения Украины со стороны Украины. Но властям нужно воевать и теперь обычные граждане должны идти туда. Мне лично полностью не нравиться концепция войн.

    Dude is wildly patient. Usually it's hard for a guy that's so good at a competitive sport to have this kind of patience while teaching. Salute to him. To state the obvious Denis' hand and forearms are almost cartoonish. Freakin Popeye over there, sheesh! Salute to Larry also for being humble and coachable. As strong as he is he took being told he has weak hands like a real champ.

    • @JonHop1
      @JonHop1 Год назад +1

      larry knows tho, that being told your hand is weak is not necessarily an insult, as a lot of your hand strength involves genetics, and things you have no control over. Of course, you can always improve, but in your hands especially, there are far more limits compared with strengthening large muscle.

    Definitely make sense because you don't have to have a strong hand... But the pronator and the biceps have to be on point 👍👍👍

    • @НиколайТобиас
      @НиколайТобиас 2 года назад +4

      Its not what Denis was saying. He was saying that this is what Larry has at elite level and so it is his only way to be in a match with good armwrestler. He said that you should train everything else, but for Larry it is still weaker so teaching him techniques that demand that kind of strength would be useless and wouldnt help him win at all. If Larry was equally strong with hid wrist, fingers, rise - Denis would most likely have shown him different thing

    • @nvmffs
      @nvmffs 2 года назад +1

      @MobaCry 2 года назад

      @@НиколайТобиас that's exactly what I understood... I just didn't mention it on my comment, because I assumed it was clear enough in the video.
      Denis advice are based on Larry's strength so in his case it is the best advice.... And I think he is 100% right, if Larry put more effort into developing this technique and increasing his pronator strength to match the rest of his arm, it would be great for him.

    Dennis kinda blew my mind with his teaching here. When he opened his hand and won, it clicked in my head “pull with the strap like a slip” and then what he said about Larry’s bicep which he has stronger biceps than 99% of arm wrestlers. We just have to remind Larry about this video. Out of everything he’s ever learned I think this is the one thing that will make him improve
