So Melania's story is long and complex but I'll try to give a comprehensive summary. Just know that there is a ton more that I won't be able to put in a comment. So Melania and her brother Mikaela are the children of Queen Merica and her consort Rodagen. The siblings are Emperien which means they are god candidates who could succeed their mother as the nex god of the world. Both siblings were cursed at birth, Mikaela was cursed to have his body stay as a child, Melania was cursed with the Scarlett Rot. Mikaela was brilliant and wanted to undo their curses and tried a myriad of different ways to remove their curses, his most successful attempt was a pure gold needle that suppressed the rot inside of Melania. The Scarlett Rot it a terrible plague that could swallow the world and spreads from Melania. When it builds up enough inside her she blooms into a scarlett flower that spreads the rot into the area and slowly eats away at everything as it grows. Melania first flowred in her youth and Mikaela figures out that if she flowers three times she will become consumed by the rot. Mikaela gave her the needle and it suppressed the rot but didn't cure it. Then the shattering happened and all of the most powerful beings fought over the shards of the Elden Ring. Mikaela's body was taken while his spirit was off to find a cure for the curses the siblings had. Melania participated in the Shattering War and eventually faced off against Radon. Radon was a mighty warrior wielding gravity magic. They were both holding back during the fight, Radon holding back the stars and Melania holding back the Rot. Melania let go first and flowered for the second time, defeating Radon, and turning the whole battlefield and much of the land beyond into a rotting hellscape. Melania returned to the Halage tree, her brother's creation and home, to await his return. Instead, the Tarnished returned to the lands between (where the game is set) and you as the player eventually find her at the base of the tree and fight her there. During the fight you force her to bloom the third and final time. The Rot consumes her and transforms her into the Goddess of Rot. Despite this, you emerge victorious and kill her before the Rot can spread more
One thing I will mention: If you go looking you'll see references to "outer god of rot" - that's a reference to being "outside the Golden Order", not in the sense of Yog-Sothoth and the Cthulhu Mythos.

Hello my young friend. I think this is the first time I caught you in my cue. I follow Elizabeth, the Charismatc Voice, for insights of the mechanics of the voice. She's my go to. I had vocal roommates in college in the 70s. I was classically trained all around trumpet player, so it intrigues me. I knew she is a professional opera singer and always wanted to hear her voice. Think this is a good representation. From what I understand is she had the freedom to create. Great collaboration. Her voice reminds me a little of MoonSun. A band that stopped since the pandemic. If you're impressed by precise drums, he actually uses a virtual drumkit. Any keyboards and percussion you hear are almost always programmed on MoS. Sounds sick as fuck, but yeah Gav mostly only plays strings - and sings, obviously
