The storyteller folds her slender hands - both pairs - and speaks. “It happened an age ago. But when I recall, I see it true.” So begins the tale of the Shattering, a devastating war between the children of Marika, Demigods of the Lands Between. One grim night in the depths of winter, a flock of unknown assassins stole across the Lands Between.
In a coetaneous attack, this foul covenant snuffed out the lives of many of the God-Queen’s kin throughout the empire, too numerous and too scattered for her godly protection to save. The assassins’ targets were multifold, but none was as devastating a loss to the Eternal Queen as that of Godwyn the Golden. After his death, the Elden Ring was somehow shattered, and the order of the world broke with it.
Out of this chaos came war. Open, bitter war, pitting blood against blood and kin against kin. The conflict broke a vast and prosperous empire into brittle fragments. No single side could find enough purchase to maintain a decisive victory, even when fueled by the power of a Great Rune.
The battle of General Radahn against Malenia the Severed illustrated that neither strength nor skill alone would be enough to take control of the entirety of the lands Marika had united. And so, the Lands Between are no longer gripped by open war, but caught in an uneasy stalemate that seems impossible to resolve. “Unless of course,” the storyteller says, a coy smile on both her lips, “thou shouldst take the crown?”

Transported to ages long ago, you will relive the Shattering, a war that brought darkness to the Lands Between, initiated by demigods’ hunger for power. There is only one hope left: the hope that a new Elden Lord will rise and lift the veil of shadows that has fallen over Marika’s domain.

Therefore, Maxor can make extremely incorrect (but surprisingly, accurate) summaries of video games that are in no way meant to be funny, but in no way prevents the video summaries from being hilarious.

As someone with ADHD, I can confirm that Max0r's videos perfectly encapsulate what it's like to have it. They're some of the only videos that I can manage to actually sit all the way through without feeling the need to do other things in the background.

Miyazaki has actually said in an interview about Elden Ring that sometimes he just straight up blacks out and wakes up to discover he's made another poison swamp.

I love that he hired actual RUclipsrs and streamers to voice act.
I don't normally rewatch videos but with Max0r's there's always something that I've missed, so chaotic yet they still capture the essence of what it's like to play the game
Really great reaction. Love seeing people actually enjoy Max0r's videos since I haven't found a single soul in my actual real-life social sphere that gets or likes his content as much as I do.
So, when are you doing part 2 (yes there is one if you didn't know, though no part 3 as of yet)? 😀 Also, the part that comes up at 14:01? Thats all his editing layers. Max0r said in an interview that he really did leave the health debuff in for his entire first game, the places you don't see it are recorded on subsequent play throughs. Lotta history behind this stuff, but the voice actors he brings in are phenomenal for their bit lines.

Loving it since the Bloodborne video, if you want to get into this rabbit hole, Sseth Tzeentach who voiced the librarian also makes videos less chaotic less edited but the script is so good and can make games look very interesting even though some of them (at least from his first videos) are very old, also Uberdanger who doesn't upload as much but it has pretty good videos too. Keep it going

If you really like digging into the lore, then I highly recommend The Tarnished Archeologist. His discoveries and theories are mind blowing.
I love how every video, he's firing shots wildly, making fun of everyone and he still accurately summarizes Upstate New York (Weeping Peninsula). Race war & rains all the time? Yup. Basically.

Maxor has somehow mastered the art of editing a video with a tempo and chaos high enough to finally satisfy my raging ADHD and STILL make them badass enough that you can get massive satisfaction out of them despite the tempo making it literally impossible to know what the hell is going on half the time.
I really like the mix of content you bring on your channel (playthroughs, lore vids & reaction, funny stuff like this one etc), I enjoy it so much😊

13:12 I didn't go to the Weeping Peninsula until after I'd beaten Rykard and Morgott the Fell King. Nah, for my journey, I immediately went East (because I'd seen some RUclipsrs fight Margit in the beta), found the dragon, ran away, and ended up in Caelid for 7 of the first 8 hours of my first day playing.
I hadn't even spoken to Melina yet. 🙃
I do not know if you plan to but a DS3 playthrough after Sekiro would be cool as hell!

Though I haven't played Elden Ring in a bit, I'm trying to get to Redmane Castle prior to the Radahn festival but can't find it, I heeded the warnings of Woolie and Pat of Castle Superbeast to not try and play the fuck around and find out game with the lobsters simply because they run faster than your horse. To fight them is to embrace the choice of death even if you run. Also I somehow got all the way to Raya Lucaria and didn't see the dead guy with the map at the door before going to Stormveil. Fought the projectile pit sweat cricket people in Caelis, and even went through Castle mourne. I had literally only killed Godrick at this point. Ironically I killed Margit first try because I didn't go directly to him and won in a double KO that totally counted. But Godrick took me like twenty tries. So my clout for beating Margit is outweighed by how bad Godrick beat me according to the community.
Lol, I didn't notice the Weeping Peninsula until after Lyndell :) I was confused why I never found Alexander stuck in the ground like in the trailers. I met him in a mine.
