I loved this one but Vati’s prepare to cry Frenzy was my favorite because of the merchant Kale’s dialog and the music on that one was next level. Highly recommend that one, just as good as this one imo. ❤
You fight Blaidd as a Baleful Shadow, not because Blaidd turned evil, but because Ranni's Two Fingers sent out a mindless enemy with his shape on top. This was confusing to me too at first. edit 49:30 - yeah, you got it! :)
Vaati is just so good at these it's insane. Btw, he made Malenia one as well (not the Prepare to Cry) so you might want to do that one as well since you did Miquella.
This is the absolute best production by Vaati yet! I know 2 other Prepare to Cry episodes that are comparable to this one: Flame of Frenzy and Warrior Within. Both are equally impactful and will resonate with your heart.
Just at the start, but like. I will never be fully convinced that Radagon just. Left of his own choice to.become Marika's second elden lord. I know thats the popular interpretation because of the whole 'they're the same person' thing but like. Radagon didnt want to shatter the Elden Ring. So clearly he still has his own thoughts and wants and stuff.
Souls-like games are played so differently when you replay them now knowing the lore behind everything that happens. We, the players, usually just play through them for the first time as mere adventures. Have to thank Vaati for all the work he's put into bringing these complex stories to life.
The other videos are technically spoilery, but to get the information that goes into the videos like the Frenzied Flame one, the Blessing of Despair(Dung Eater), the Age of the Duskborn(Fia), and the Warrior Within(Alexander), already requires guides to complete. On a new playthrough you can easily get the endings, but to actually get all the parts of the relavent questlines blindly is very unlikely. I wouldn't considering it spoilers since for some of these questlines, a Vaati video is the prime way to experience them. But if you just want more magic stuff not related to an ending then Vaatis video about Glintstone sorcery is also very good. It makes sense as a followup to this one, though I really wanna see a reaction to the Age of the Duskborn video. If you followed most of Fias questline then you've experienced most of it. I don't know if you know how the endings work, but not all of them are as important as the Age of the Stars one. The Age of the Duskborn is way more about the journey. Same with the Age of Despair, and Warrior Within.
31:46 .............is she even listening to Vaati? He literally said it 10 seconds ago at 31:36. To bring him an honourable death. Jerren remained because Rahdan was inflicted with the scarlet rot and lost his mind and wits, becoming the ravenous monster guy that the player fights. There is no salvation for him now. There is only one way for Rahdan's story to end now, and how they (Jerren & Rahdan) both wanted it to end, and that end is a warriors death in battle.
Thank God someone else pointed it out. I was pretty dumb struck when that completely when over her head, when Vaati LITERALLY just explained it to her.
Most of these streamers/youtubers are fake af. They're so borderline brain dead its cringe. They only do this because their "audience" tells them, or they're doing it for clicks and clout or all of the above.
The final lore nuke is that for some reason the Blood Albinaurics have large fully modeled PPs (I'm not making this up). What did Miyazaki and GRRM mean by this?
50:20 Oh btw that is in all likelyhood a dex-int build. The Weapon is a dex weapon called the Godskin Peeler but Vaati also combines that with frozen armament and other spells
I think Rennala knew. She was given a piece of the Elden Ring before the true shattering began, only Marika could do this. 43:57 in another tarnished archeologist video, he suggests that Godwyn was supposed to marry Ranni according to how the two fingers wanted things to be
I love your reactions. I’d love to see you reacting to the Lore of Morgot from Vati. I don’t think it spoils any major ending so it should be safe, though as the name indicates… prepare to cry. Also the frienzied flame one is the best (and most hearthbreking together with the one abour morgot) so prepare tissues when you’ll be watching it.
Narrator: "... to bring Rhadan an honorable death." Pause Becka: "Then why does he send us to the festival to kill Rhadan?" 😐 Literally just told you 5 second ago...
There are also two more great movies by Vaati, one about the frenzied flame and one about the age of the duskborn. But both of these spoiler the endings so maybe you want to hold them off until you finish them
Ooooh, Dark Souls 2 soon! I love that game, and a lot of people don't, so I might have to make time to come and chat to help you get thru it easily so you don't hate it too much!
I know many have probably harped on about the Frenzied Flame ending already, but just to hype you up a bit: Vaati's video on that ending is just as good if not better than this one, even if the story that's described here is more inherently emotional! Saw in other comments you plan on doing that ending next so: enjoy & look forward to another awesome playthrough and ending! :)
My understanding of the age of stars is pretty much how we live. Far from the influence of God's or anything beyond our planet. The golden order had gods living amongst mortals and it made both parties too reliant on eachother. Separate the two beings and life has more freedom. Less persecution from outer influences.
i think elden ring could be a good tv show if they make something like game of throne or house of dragons. with bit more interaction between lords, and behind story.
using the summons during the radahn fight might be good distraction, but each one you summon also increases his health or defenses by some degree. i fought him on my own much later after returning to it from a long break and found it was easier to do damage with my stuff on my own than with the summons. plus, it feels good to learn an entire boss moveset in a 1 on 1 duel and it was something i told myself i needed to do, instead of summoning despite it being encouraged by the event being a festival of war
Actually, summons summoned inside the arena do not cause the increase to health that summons usually apply. The reason for the difference in difficulties you noticed isnlikely due to radahn himself being nerfed.
Blaidd is actually pronounced as Blithe. It is Welsh for wolf, and in Welsh "dd" is pronounced like "th" (and "ai" is pronounced like "eye", but that is less surprising) Gaol however is the original spelling of the word jail (compare to modern french "geôle") Here the weird spelling is the fault of norman french, and yes, is horrible
you Literally dont kill rennala. vaati said you just fight a trap spell of her when she was strongest. 21:06. its like you are not listening sometimes XD. and you talk to rennala when you respec
1:05:11 I ask the same question and i kinda have a panic attack when i do this ending. I was like which hand should i grab or should i grab both ? Will she be mad if i grab both of her hand 🤣.
Didn’t you say you got this ending? Did you skip all cutscenes? Also, can you get to Ranni without doing the manor? This video is full of “I’ve never found this” for stuff that are required for this ending.
It was my first fromsoft game and these games are super complex and overwhelming for someone who‘s never played them. I’ve probably done some things but I don’t remember them. I also didn’t know how deep the lore goes so I probably didn’t understand some of the cutscenes and story parts. I don’t think it’s that surprising to be a little lost when playing your first fromsoft game :)
Yo lowkey, if you think abt it Ranni is one of the bad guys/villians. She stole a fragment of the death rune to kill her step brother, then makes us kill her actual brother just so that she can run away to the stars. Also if you think abt it, she used the assassins to kill Godwyn and then the assassins somehow knew to kill her two most loyal followers? Kinda sus imo
"This is so sad!" And it's only gonna get sadder! Just you wait until you finish Dark Souls and get into the lore. The *_Plin Plin Plon_* awaits you! And of course, Bloodborne.

@@beckachuu This! Looking forward to your reaction to the Prepare to Cry - Frenzied Flame. That is my favourite Vaati video of all time.

edit 49:30 - yeah, you got it! :)
Only FromSoft can find a way to flip asset re-use into a legitimately good and engaging lore plotpoint! There is a reason they are the best! :P
Basically Blaidd is mind controlled. He's still loyal to Ranni. But he has to die.
You do also later fight the real blaidd of after he loses purpose as well though right?
@@bobjimonlyhughcanpreventfl342 Ohhh, yeah, you're right.
And the shadow is wayyy stronger than the real Blaidd lol at least to me he was
Ranni's ending is the definition of "do as thou wilt is the whole of the law" its the ending where everyone is free to control their own fates.
Don't ruin it for me with that Crowley cult garbage.
@@zachabbey6509 The example fits so that's why I used it your lack of enjoyment of it notwithstanding.
31:45 gave me brain damage

It’s soooo good. I might get to those once I’ve gotten those endings in game!
Well good news is you didn’t kill Renalla. She’s still there at the academy. She even helps us by allowing us to reconfigure our stats.

have you seen the "fallen leaves" Elden Ring music video featuring Vaati? It's amazing

The DD at the end of names (being a Welsh name) the DD is one way to make a th sound
Blaidd is pronounced blive. So it’s only natural that goal (in game) is pronounced jail.
