      It is far more than just freedom as That word is just a lie. In Eldenring if you want to be certain if a god exists they only need to look at them. Ranni is putting the whole world into the long night of fear, doubt and loneliness. Basically the certainty that there are gods becomes uncertain. And faith will become irrational over time. So the faith will become closer to our world where there is no real proof of any divinity forcing the inhabitants to think for themselves (more or less). What is more any invocation will become useless prayers forcing the humans to use their intelligence to find other ways to enhance their lives. Basically from their suffering science will be born.

    its heavily implied that Marika herself was behind the black knives from the start even when ranni used them it was marika who set it all up, the whole reason she shattered the elden ring was when she started having doubts about the golden order she helped create, maybe she wants ranni to reach her destiny and destroy the golden order and thinking that ranni still had ties to her life in the lands between would be a distraction maybe marika sent the black knives to take out Iji and Blaidd, Ranni made some questionable choices but i dont think she would have sent assassins to kill the only people she actually loves

    Ranni hides her name because Tarnished are servers of the Golden Order guided by Grace, considering she broke ties with the Golden Order, killed one of their Demi-Gods, stole a rune of death and went AWOL, i think it’d be best to not reveal herself to any Tarnished she meets in case she’s still being hunted.

    46:46 He might have been the strongest of them which is why he had to die. The other reason he had to die as well is becaus, for Destined to work, it has to kill the body AND soul. Ranni killed her body so she could be moved into the doll to remove herself from the golden order, and Godwyn was used for the other half. His soul. Thus completes Destined Death. His body lives on underneath Stormveil as a giant head and his undead body curses the land with Deathblight. His story also goes into Fia's quest too for the Age of the Duskborn ending. It's insane.

    • @kabvrv

      I'm familiar with the Duskborn ending and Fia's quest (yes, insane) but I suppose I just knew what happened to Godwyn and not really WHY it happened to him. That clarified it though... You need to kill a body and soul. They just split it between two demigod.

    1:01:00 "I don't really love that she's just stopping one Order and creating another Order. Like, what's the difference?" The golden order interferes with people's lives constantly, all the time. Ranni is taking hers and _leaving._ That way no upstart can take her down and create yet another Order that interferes with people's lives again.
    She can't just destroy the tools used to create Order, that's already been tried, it didn't work, that's what The Shattering was. The Great Runes survived and can be re-combined. So she does just that, and then uses her Order to take said tools and GTFO with her new spouse.

    23:30 I theorize that this is the reason that Rennala, and Rennala alone, remains alive after defeating her and acquiring her Great Rune. Because the Tarnished defeats this spell version, they don't need to destroy the living Queen and choose to allow her to live on with her "little culver", both out of respect for Her Majesty, and to not just be a murder hobo, like most Souls players are in these games... Ranni did give the Black Knife Assasins their blades, imbued with a fragment of Destined Death, but it's never made clear if the Assasins are loyal to her specifically or their goals just happened to align.
    There's an implied connection to Marika, which gives the possible explenation that Marika actually was the mastermind behind everything. This is never stated to true in any way, but it's also never stated to be false either.
    Finally, it's mentioned that all the assasins were RUMORED to all be women, and more importantly, scions of the Eternal Cities. Again, they literally use the word rumored in-game, implying that it can go either way. The Nox are waiting for a Lord of Night, similar to an Elden Lord, which is eerily similar to what happens when we become consort to Ranni in her ending, this means that if the Black Knife Assasins were connected to the Nox of the Eternal City and Ranni explained her end goal to them, then at least they would want to help Ranni, though it's hard to say if this would also make them totally loyal to her.
    What this all means is that it might not be Ranni cutting off loose threads for her own goals, but someone else ordering the Black Knife's to hunt for her/her followers. However, since WE are never "ambushed" by any Black Knife's when doing this quest, only finding those that would be there anyway, it can be said that these assasins were only sent to hunt Blaidd and Iji, which implicates Ranni as the ones pulling the strings but, again, it's never made clear.

    • @kabvrv
      @kabvrv  9 месяцев назад

      At this point I've been convinced that it was all Marika but if there was some new info in the DLC or something stating Ranni had something to do with it I would start yelling "I told you so!"😂

    I think the Black Knights assassins had been send by the Golden Order. After all Ranni did kill her Two Fingers and was already been research by the Golden Order before. Blaidd and Iji would also been targetted for helping Ranni. Guilt by association and all that. Seem logical to me since Iji and Blaidd seems to already know Ranni's plan and the path she intended to walk.

    • @kabvrv
      @kabvrv  Год назад +1

      Makes sense. I think it almost seems obvious that Ranni is responsible for the Night of the Black Knives, and she all but admitted it, so I am associating the black knives coming at Blaidd and Iji with the fact that Ranni has access to them. She could kill them since she would be worried that they would betray her. With that said, I have an idea that Marika sent then to try and stop Ranni as well, so your idea has merit. Killing Godwyn and taking the rune of death does stop Ranni. We were the ones that continued her plans for her.

    • @TheEvallyn

      @@kabvrv Or maybe.. the Noxx themselfes sent them seeing how Ranni made a deal with them for the Night of the Black Knives but then just ditched them once she got what she wanted. No one knew where Ranni was hiding until the Tarnished got involved.

    • @Skrallizar
      @Skrallizar 9 месяцев назад

      The problem with this explanation is that no Black Knife Assasin is specifically sent after us, the Tarnished, even though we are also "loose threads" as it were. She seems both surprised that we would follow her and become her consort, but also isn't as surprised given how "different" we are from most others in the Lands Between. Either way, until we actually meet her under the church, one would think that if this explanation was true then there should have been at least one assasin sent to try and kill us, but there's none, only the ones that would be wherever we find them regardless of if we do Ranni's quest or not. Especially given how capable we have proven ourselves, one would think she would at least try it.
      No one can say for sure, but personally I don't believe it was Ranni who sent those assasins after Blaidd and Iji.

      I've slowly become a huge anime fan over the last 5-10 years and, besides Dragon Ball, the Ghibli movies are probably the biggest reason. I'm excited for The Boy and the Hero. I never got into Magic the Gathering but had friends that played. Berserk is one that keeps coming up over and over. I want to watch the anime but I think I read that I should do the manga. What do you think?

    • @Animechargeblog
      @Animechargeblog Год назад

      I'm also excited about The boy and the Hero, it's been quite some time since they done something new, so the expectations are high on this one.
      I do recommend the other videos from Vaati, about the secrets and hidden details in Elden Ring (and the other From's franchise, if interested), he talks a lot about the inspirations that was used in these games, and while Berserker was always a big one, MtG was a recently discovered one (at least for me).
      About Berserker itself, would definetly go with the manga. The anime adaptations are weird, they often only adapt certain arcs of the story, and with varying degrees of animation quality and censorship. Just keep in mind that Berserker is a VERY graphic manga, in terms of visuals and storytelling, so I understand it not being everyone's cup of tea, specially because of certain themes presented in the story. Also, the author died some time ago, and the continuation of the story is being done by his former assistant now, so we don't know how the remaining (and ending) of the story will be, but what we got so far is an amazing story with great artwork.

      @@kabvrv It's true, Berserks manga is rated as one, if not the most popular and well recieved manga ever. As for anime it very much lacks. The best Berserk anime I think is the one released in 1997 which was sadly never continued I think it has 25 episodes. Everything that was released as an anime after that was not well recieved by everyone.
      I personally would start with the 1997 anime and then move onto the manga because the first 3 chapters in the manga start off in the future which may confuse you. The anime starts at chapter 4 I think which is where the story of the protagonist actually begins.
      The manga you can perfectly start off on the first 3 chapters and then skip to the end of what you saw in the anime or just re read those chapters in the manga since anime adaptations tend to leave out on some details, especially in Berserk where it's extremely graphic and disturbing.
