Great video heather! Is there a video on what to do on the back end of Printify when an order comes in? Since it's a custom order what are the steps you take to make the custom order and upload it to Printify?
I never thought I would find someone who acts and thinks as awkward as me! I've probably thought "gosh, that's totally me" more than you've thrown up the Hunger Games sign 😂 Love your videos and awkwardness! Thank you for being you, and providing useful information. ❤️
Love how much personality you added to your video! It’s fun to see the behind the scenes and get to know the person behind the “brand”! Great video as always!
Thank you. Great content. Tip if no one else told you, when you accidentally close a tab, just right click in the tabs area and select “reopen closed tab” or Ctrl + shift + T.
omg, seriously, you are my spirit animal! Tea drinking, Sims playing, untidy ladies unite! I love your content, but this little peak behind-the-scenes of you was awesome, heart-warming and so relatable. ❤️
I looked up that mug because your review intrigued me. The shipping on that mug Printed in Germany by Textildruck Europa shipped to USA is $17.49 for first item and $9.99 per additional item. That's profit prohibitive for a reseller. There are US based alternatives. FYI
First video I see. You're awesome ! You give a lot of value and have an amazing natural personnality ! ^^ Thank you for that great lesson of POD and lifestyle :-)
Love your videos, Heather! Always so much great info! Question...with the personalization, do you have to go into every order and put their name on it, or is the name passed through to Printify from Etsy? Sorry, but I didn't quite understand how that process works. Thanks!
I love the awkwardness and that you play The Sims! I love that game and I'm super awkward as well haha! All of your videos have been so informative and I'm glad I found your channel!
Thanks for the video! But I do have a question - what are the next steps after someone orders it personalized? I would go back to Printify and edit that listing each time I get a new order?
If you do personalized I suggest first of all turning off the automatic push settings in your print on demand back end. When an order comes through, you'll go to Canva and add in personalization then save and upload as a new product on Printify. After that you will edit the order to add in the new item(Note: you do not need to publish, only save as draft!). This is the best way I've found to do this as if let's say you had one 'Lauren' mug and then get a second one, you already have the product on the backend. Hopefully this helps and great question! :)
@@itsheatherstudio So sorry I am confused. If you do not publish but only save as draft, how will Printify know to send the product to the customer? Love your video's.
@@MJ-rf2gu I spoke directly with Printify about this. Clicking publish will only affect your Etsy store. Saving it as a draft will save whatever you changed in Printify when editing the design. I had them clarify that you do not have to publish again in order to have your print provider see the edits and use the new design. If you hit publish you will just be re-publishing the listing again on Etsy, that is all. I really hope this makes sense!
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial! So I was able to follow everything except looks like this mug ships from Poland? The shipping is really high when I flipped it to US. Not sure if I’m missing something here? Thanks! 😊
Heather - I've seen this question posted multiple times. Can you address this, please? I am also curious how to profit from an item that has such a high shipping cost on top of production fees! Thank you!
Thanks again Heather ...have made a range of Halloween color morphing mugs...and so need to sell some...praying!!! Next up personalised mugs...thanks again. Please explain in detail how to go about the process in Printify/personisation. Hoping to sell many mugs...Christa ForeverYoungDesignSA
Thanks for this video. Very nice to see a video tutorial outside of apparel. Of course most of us lost shirts of all sorts, but it’s nice to see other products that we can scale out a design if it makes sense or just a whole new product to put in our shop. Also would like to see you do a video on jewelry-Shine On tutorial would be AWESOME!! Wall art, canvas/posters that will be printed when ordered not digital wall art since so many videos. A lot of us like to order an item that’s actual a finished product 😂 but any item is great-we will take whatever you offer knowledge and efforts!! Much love!! Thanks again!!!!
Heather, you are my favorite!🤭 Keep being you. I love your videos both for the content you teach us and also because of who you are and how you just allow us to see the real you. Thank you!
Hi Heather, can you tell me what you do after order is placed. Do you make the custom .png for each order with a different name then push the order through printify yourself after you have made the personalized graphic?
I have been on etsy for years, off and on. I sold art, stuffed creatures, quilts, supplies, etc. that I created by hand. I've only ever been upset by being undercut by overseas businesses. KWIM? For the most part, few people will part with money for a painting or quilt or damn near anything that they reason they can do themselves. (Sure, whatever.) But amazingly they throw money around for tees, mugs, bags, and more, if art is on it. So, I can create and possibly get a sale. That's where this handmade seller is at right now. I have no apologies for turning to POD because the customers are there at etsy to buy a gift they can afford. Thanks, Heather!
Super work and tutorial as always! I'm slow in the brain so I have to repeat a lot of your videos but all is good and am getting this done now. Much appreciated!
Heather, great video. When you enter the personalization option,do you have make the customized graphic then upload it to that order? You didn't really say.
Love this video--thank you! And your videos aren't just educational, they're entertaining as heck too! One note--I think I'd allow spaces. Lots of people use two names. Mary Sue, Alice Anne, Bobbi Jo, etc. Thanks again! Watching the SEO video next!
Hello there, love this video, just one question: What is the process of fulfilling the personalized order with printify, because every order will be different? Editing the name in Canva, uploading the design in printify and then create a manual order? Thanks 🙏
Heather, I watched a video where you showed how to price the t-shirts. I'm trying to figure out mugs, sweatshirts and hoodies to no avail!! Do you have a video out on how to figure out the pricing? Also I can't find the shipping either on the other items. I am offering free shipping so I have to know how much extra to price my items to cover the shipping. THANK YOU!
Great video!! I've been looking to start a new pod etsy shop and this has been so helpful! Also I love the sims!! I don't know why but feel like you would really like Stardew Valley!
I have a question, what do you do after they make the purchase with a custom name? How do you edit the design with the name and send it off to be made by printify? Do you just go back to your template and re-upload the design and edit the name ?
I have a question, perhaps for a future video (or maybe you've done it and I missed it)...do I add POD to my existing Etsy shop (almost 15 years, 5 star overall rating), or create a new one? It could potentially work in my current shop, but would I alienate my clients that come for what I sell now, or get them to purchase more. I mostly sell digital products now. I'm phasing out the tangible items I've experimented with offering the last year.
Hi Heather, I can’t find any mock-ups with the color changing mugs being white inside and the outside being black, to show of my design off on black background. Any suggestions on how to post on Etsy other than using Printifys mock-ups?
Do you create a different shop for your other items? Like mugs separate page from shirts/sweatshirts? Sorry if someone already asked this and I didn't read all the comments. :p
I always see the cutest designs on creative fabrica but a lot of them are sublimation images. Will they still turn out well on the products as long as I’m using the right pixel dimensions? Thank you!
Hey I absolutely loved your video! But I was trying to do that color changing mug from the German company and the shipping cost is $19 to the U.S plus 7 dollar production fee!😅😱😱
thanks for the video! love the tutorials! quick question tho, how do we get the designs from fabrica to canva? What do i do after i downloaded it? cuz when i try to drag it in to canva it says it doesn’t match the file type
Curious...with all of the sublimination and cricut business that are being started up locally are you noticing a drop in sales in diy sales online? My neighborhood is seriously saturated and unless u have something really unique sales r really hard to come by.
Hi Heather, have made my own mug and am trying to post it on etsy. I am having trouble with the shipping profile for district photo. do you know what I would put for the shipping service? example usps parcel post, etc. Thank you!
This is probably a super dumb question but I am stumped on which side the front image goes (have designed a front and back mug with different things on each side) I’m getting mixed answers on google
I have a couple questions. For this video, you showed how you could copy all of the tags on Everbee. I don't have Everbee yet, so I can't do that. But one of the things that I have noticed when doing my tags, is that a lot of phrases that are used on bestsellers are considered trademarked when I look them up. So wouldn't you still need to check all of those tags? Also, at the beginning of the video you talked about the color changing mug. I may have missed it if you covered it, but is there a certain kind of graphic you should use for those mugs, or do you design them the same way you do everything else? Thanks!
I mentioned this in other videos- I have 50+ now so after a while my brain forgets to caution and I do apologize for this- but yes, tags do matter with trademark searching! I would never carry over like a 'Starbucks' or other tags so this is a great question. I personally think this mug is best with a black design but you could do a colorful or white design and add in maybe a black element that can show when heated. Hopefully this helps! :)
how do you get it to when they order printify doesn't just print the design you created? If they place an order wouldn't it go through printify saying Olivia in this example?
I currently have my processing time to every hour. Would I need to change all my orders to manual or is there a way to do just this one item? I have other non personalized items I’d like not to have to fulfill manually.
I hadn’t noticed the max resolution underneath the minimum. Honestly sometimes I think the minimum shouldn’t be used. Bc the dpi actually changes, gets smaller, when you increase the size in printing. I’ve had to change diff the px to make sure it still matches the min dpi it requires. I am def gonna use your 5000x5000px
Love your sweater Heather 😍
I don't find you awkward, grateful for all of your content!
