I shot this bow and had absolutely ZERO hand shock. I'll definitely be getting this bow. Good review as well.

The hand buzz can be taken out with a vibration absorber on the lower riser in the top hole of the lower riser and a 4 inch stabilizer in the lower hole with a total weight of around 2-4 Oz,depending on front stabilizer weight, will bring the bow into perfect ballance. I don't have any vibration control or stabilizer on my impulse34 and it is still the best shooting bow I have ever shot.

I just traded my Hoyt Carbon Defiant 31 for the Impulse 34. I thought I may regret that, NOT AT ALL!!! You said there was significant hand buzz, you may want to tune that bow a little, because to be 100% honest, mine has ZERO hand shock or hand 'buzz'. This bow is honest to God both quieter and deader in hand than my carbon defiant. The ONLY thing my defiant beat the Impulse in, was weight and looks...I like the look of the defiant better. The Hoyt probably had THE smoothest draw of any bow I felt, ever...so I guess the defiant gets the nod in that category too...the elite draw is a little stiff at the back of the draw, but I quickly got used to it, in a matter of two days. I have NEVER shot a bow as good as I do this bow. The first day I shot the bow, I had it rough sighted, not fine sighted yet....and at sixty yards I was putting six arrows in a baseball sized group. At fifty, I was stacking six arrows in a GOLF BALL sized group....very consistently. This is the best shooting bow I have ever shot. I have been shooting primarily Hoyt since 2008, and I shoot all the new bows each year before I buy. This year I didn't get to shoot an Elite before I bought my Carbon Defiant...and when I finally got to shoot an Impulse 34, I was BLOWN AWAY. Found a dealer that traded me my two month old Carbon for a brand new Impulse 34, and it will take one hell of a bow to get me shooting another bow. I know for a fact it won't be any time soon, this bow is absolutely amazing. By far, my favorite bow ever, and I have only owned it for two days....

Thanks for your review. I am considering buying a previously owned I-34. Do you still enjoy your I-34? Is it still a good shooter and reliable? I would be interested in your opinion of the bow at this stage of ownership. Do you have any advice what I should look for when buying a previously owned I-34?
      Thanks again

Great review! I'm in the market to get back into bow hunting and came across the Elite in another review. I had been looking at Bear Arena, Bowtec BTX-31, Matthews Halon 6. This is sounding like it. I like the fact that as you all pointed out you can hold your shot at full draw and read the paper....:) lol I've seen to many times on hunting shows where they draw and then have to let off because the buck stops walking and stands there looking around behind a tree or what ever. Is this the only bow you guys shoot?

      Silence of the hams
Go shoot one, and you WILL buy it. I would ran as far away as possible, any time you see a Bowtech...they shoot amazing, but so many are having limbs blow up...I would not take one for free. I traded my Carbon Defiant for this bow, and I have literally never been happier, or shooting better than I have with this bow...and I have only had it for two days...the draw cycle is a little stiff at the back, and I hear a lot of people crying about that...but I am coming off THE smoothest draw cycle I have ever felt, and I got used to this draw cycle quick...and the speed I am getting is ridiculous.
I am getting 308 FPS at 70 draw weight, 28.5" dl, and a 414 grain arrow....never been as happy with any other bow as I am with this one! Loved my Carbon, but this shoots circles around it, and any bow I have ever shot.

I forgot to say, if people are struggling to pull this bow, they are pulling too much draw weight. I can draw mine pretty easily, but once you get the stuff back end, built into your muscle memory...it is nothing. The huge valley and rock solid back wall....man, this bow is insanely good. Go shoot one...love my Hoyts, and if this bow got me to switch, that is saying A LOT.

Rick M Well in all of my research I came across Darton. I learned that Darton has been making bows longer than anybody. That they hold more patents on bow design and cam technology than anyone. In fact a lot of the manufacturers including impulse uses their cam technology. I bought the Darton DS - 3700 for hunting out of tree stands and ground blinds and it is crazy fast smooth accurate love it!

Rick, I have a 2016 Hoyt Nitrum. How would you recommend switching over for the least amount of $? I shot one of these bows and was blown away. I like it better than Hoyt now...mainly because of that back wall
