Loved this one very original quirky 😁❤️
I thought you'd been to Butlins at Skegness
Hi Tim! You should stay at the aphrodite suites in the lake district :)
Tim, you've found our favourite place! We've stayed here a few times since 2016 (birthday treats) and we love it so much that we got married there in September 2021. We booked the entire Windmill and had a marquee put up in the garden. All our family stayed in the Windmill and loved it too. Every room is different and has it's own charm. Unfortunately, it blew a gale on our wedding day and I had visions of chasing the marquee over the marshes! It was a wonderful day in spite of the weather. We actually married in the breakfast room which was set up beautifully for the wedding ceremony. We really can't fault the place and hope to visit every year for a long time to come. You've really made my day!
its beautiful but expensive lol thanks for watching Carole
That's a beautiful choice for a wedding. We've stayed there before and enjoyed it. There was a stormy night for us too, complete with high tide on the river which rose dramatically. Very atmospheric.
I was just thinking it looked like a great honeymoon spot! 😅
My daughter got married there too. It was great having the whole windmill to yourselves. Owners were lovely too. I think it’s lovely as an intimate wedding venue.
I might be controversial here, but what I love about our English weather are the windy days followed by a beautiful washed clean blue and sparkly day. I also love rain after a hot and sunny spell. I have travelled and nowhere else in the World I've visited has had that wonderful washed clean crisp ozone scent. 😁❤️
Clean crisp ozone scent? Where the hell do you live?
Most of this country has way too much air pollution and in the city I live it’s so bad that we have these clean air zones which tbh don’t do a fkn thing. If you’re somewhere in the countryside then fair enough but pretty much every city in this country has too much air pollution.
I’m 40 and have COPD because of it ffs and you want to talk about clean and crisp? 😂
Go to Switzerland then talk about clean air lol
Oh and btw gonna drop a bombshell on you now.
Ozone scent?
Hmmmmm.
The ozone has a very characteristic pungent odor, sometimes described as like chlorine bleach, and it can sometimes be detected after lightning strikes or during electrical discharges. Individual humans vary in their ability to smell ozone; some people can smell it at levels as low as 0.05 ppm
To be fair you’re right with the ozone scent where I live 😂 smells nasty everywhere
This is the perfect description!! I love living in the English countryside and enjoy the contrast we get in the weather.
I stayed in that same room five years ago and loved it. Great to see it again.
Bloody hell, James blunt was lucky growing up, what an amazing place to live 😊
I use earplugs, I live near a busy road, and also busy with loud people during the weekend nights. They work....like a charm. Even my former neighbor who was very loud many many nights. Once I started using the earplugs, he could make as much noise as he wanted, I slept like a baby, couldn't hear it. I put my alarmclock in ny phone at the loudest, and it wakes me up perfectly. Also in hotels I use the earplugs, no one is keeping me awake at night anymore. 😊
I couldn’t agree more!
Got to say that this is probably my favourite of your stays, Tim! What a beautiful place, with that view across the marshes, and being able to be walk through the swishing reeds. And the windmill...always been my dream to live in one. And the room was exactly what I like. Really lovely, thanks for this.
It looked lovely. The accommodation was very cosy and homely. The fried breakfast looked delicious 😋 The surrounding area/the views were stunning.
However…I think £245 a night is rather steep. The room, although lovely, was rather snug. Noise from the selfish sods upstairs would have annoyed me. Yes, of course you are going to hear people in an old building with wooden floors but banging doors late and early is just plain thoughtless.
Would I like to stay here? Yes.
Would I pay £245? No.
It can be a lot more expensive peak season!
@@WalkWithMeTim it's the Easter half term holidays at the moment, maybe that's why it was so much?
I agree, it's a bit over priced, but for the novelty and location worth a night.
@@johngalt6708 Oh absolutely. You’re paying for the novelty factor. I totally get it. But it’s still too much 😮 😂 I’ve just paid £279 for a 3 night cottage break. I know it’s not directly comparable, but I’d rather have 3 nights away than just 1.
Great analysis Nikki spot on! Pure honesty love it! I wouldn't pay that money either.
a lot of noise from upstairs? you should of knocked and asked to join in 😂
So charming! They should have a white noise machine in each room. You can also use white noise apps which definitely help. I live in an apartment with a toddler above me so my white noise machine is essential!
We got married at cley windmill in 2016 and hired the whole windmill for us and our guests! Would absolutely recommend staying or getting married here the food was beautiful to.
What a great place to stay, and it's good to see an old building being preserved and put to good use. I loved the room, shame you didn't get a better sleep though, and I would stay there if I could afford it. As someone who lives not far from North Wales I am always amazed by how flat Norfolk is, that's a real novelty for me!
Talking of North Wales have you thought about staying in Portmeirion Village? I've been there on a day out, but not stayed, but I bet it is a lovely place to stay.
That would be great!
You certainly do find some unique places at which to stay. Worth the money for the experience. Lovely location. Very impressed with the fresh milk in the room.
Couldn't agree more!
Wow what a beautiful place so warming, it would be nice if they provided a couple of folding chairs so on a summers day you could sit on the balcony with a cup of tea or glass of wine.
This is a unique place to stay , very different, great location. Like the outside seating in the reeds.
Hi Tim have you considered staying at the Assembly House in Norwich? If you book directly with them they do a "fizz stay "deal you get afternoon tea bed and breakfast and a bottle of fizz in your room .You pick which room you want the rooms are lovely and spacious you wouldn't be disappointed. Or if your not bothered about after tea you can book through Norfolk passport and get 10% off. So much cheaper than the windmill and I think so much nicer 😊
The whole hotel looked beautiful and the breakfast looked delicious!
Easily in my top ten places to visit, this is right up my alley for a unique spot to stay for a weekend.
A bit too expensive but a unique experience for one night.
Just binged watched lots of your videos and really appreciate the effort you put in. Such interesting content! Thank you Tim!
Thanks means alot
We often walk past as it's one of our favourite dog walks, great to see what it's like inside 😊 we won a Wallace & Gromit competition many years ago in the EDP and the prize was a stay in The Windmill B&B in Scarborough, all I remember is the sound of the Seagulls! Looks like it's still operating, you'll have to check that one out when your up North 😊👍🏻
I really love watching videos about UK destinations. English hospitality is simply different, I think because of all the history connected to it. Wonderful video and STUNNING location!
You’re staying in so many unique (and bucket list) places these days - you’re helping me build my ‘I must go here at some point’ list, and for that, thank you!
I highly recommend West Usk Lighthouse in South Wales. I used to live near by and spent my wedding night there. They have a free to use hot tub up on the roof - it's short flat lighthouse. The rooms were lovely and the area was nice for a stroll.
Also, on the lighthouse theme, I got married in Nashpoint Lighthouse, and they have beautiful cottages next door which are absolutely gorgeous too.
Yeap, I love lighthouses
Very beautiful place to stay.
Hi Tim I think its worth the money because its so unusual and when you went through the reads I was surprised there was some tables and chairs to sit down in amongst the reads how different your room was very nice and had your own key for the balcony I would not mind staying there thank you Tim for showing us
I would love to stay here, it looks stunning
My perfect dream home anyway day of the week, love it! Xx
It was a very good travel blog today when you chilling out and staying in cley windmill in norfolk tim
Hi TIm, oh my goodness that windmill looked amazing would jump at the chance of staying there we think your videos are fantastic and really are educational we love Norfolk hoping to spend a few days away in Hemsby on a much needed holiday thank you Tim for making our day we love all your videos 😊
Brilliant video Tim! I love Windmills and I’ve often wondered what it would be like to stay there at Cley. Looks amazing I would love to stay there.👍👌👌
Glad you enjoyed it matt
Windmill's are great.
You crack me up "It doesn't feel like I'm staying in a Windmill, it feels more like a lighthouse."
The balcony (to me) seems much more desirable than an upper room.
Thank you Tim for showing everyone our beautiful North Norfolk coast. We say 'Cly' for Cley but that might be a Norwich thing. Gorgeous accommodation and the views are as always, breath taking.
Our pleasure!
Most locals call it Cly as in fly but it has changed pronunciations numerous times over the centuries. It's certainly leaning more towards Cly with the gentrification of the area
I've always pronounced it as Cly...
Oh, the big scary face on the fireplace is actually a Green Man, an early pagan and Christian symbol which is generally a benign character. He is normally found alot in churches.
How lovely and cosy. Love from sunny (rainy) Bournemouth ❤
Looks great. Need you to stay in a treehouse next! :)
I love it when you stay in a unique hotel. These videos are so much fun to watch!
Would definitely like to stay here. It is very, very nice! Great video.
A intertesting place have a great weekend buddy
What a lovely place to say and full marks to you for supporting independent businesses 👌🏻
Absolutely!
What a beautiful place! I’d definitely love to stay for a couple of nights and go exploring during the day. So unique! Thanks Tim. xo
Just love the North Norfolk coastline. Special place. However don't think I would have been too happy with people plonking about on stairs above my head all night. I've got really noisy neighbours where I live so to go away and spend 245 quid on a room to have more of the same would be gutting! Had too many holidays with thoughtless people late at night. But it WAS a lovely room & quite special...just sorry you had to put up with the disturbance upstairs. I'd have had to tell them I'm afraid!! The Blakeney seals just along the coast there are really something special as well. Lovely area. x J x
fab and informative video as always Tim. Well done for not describing the view as "youre beautiful" and ending it with "goodbye my lover" lol
Lol
Could try the Mead in Coltishall Tim, they've just had some updates done. Keep up the good work and have a great weekend.
I will check it out
Awesome, always loved the old windmills.
Beautiful, thank you Tim1😘💚
Wow what a fantastic place to stay & thanks Tim 🤗
Thanks Tim fantastic and lovely views , enjoyed watching this , look forward to the Yvonne 😊
I’m less than 2 minutes in but …. WOW 😊 what a lovely romantic getaway ❤
Those carved stone faces (is grotesques the correct term for them?) over the fireplace are awesome, they're a really nice touch :D
Tim would love to see you stay in a lighthouse but great video as always
Great tim, hope your well. another place on my list now to try!
Love it- def would stay so much so have booked a mid week break getaway ❤
That is a lovely video staying in a windmill just great and in James blunts old room beautiful.
Another amazing video Tm. Can't believe how big it is in that windmill❤
That windmill looks amazing! Would definitely stay here! Would maybe buy a sheet to put over those faces on the fireplace though! They’d probably give me nightmares 😱🤣! Other than that sounds like a fantastic place to stay and so well looked after!
Great video as always. Wow what an experience staying in that room. It’s nice when you can see your car from your hotel room.
This is fascinating content, in such an amazingly beautiful location! Great vlog.
Loved your vblog Tim that was a nice place the windmill I thought it was expensive
Looks great
What a wonderful place to stay Tim. Just beautiful views and so interesting. This area is so pretty. Hope you had a nice stay in the Windmill👏🏻💕
Great video Tim!! Seen this Windmill many times but never realised you could actually stay in it 😂!!
What a fantastic place to stay. So different
Very!
Looks great Tim. I would stop there.
Well done again. I don't know how you find these places 👌👌
Loved this vlog, the windmill was just perfect, cosey , quirky and I loved all the little touches.the area was perfect and beautiful looking breakfast,I'd love to stay there.Tim I'd love to see you in Cornwall sometime 😊
What a beautiful place😍. Such a shame you had noisy people above you. Didn't know the James Blunt connection!
Wife and I popped in there for a nice cup of tea when we where on holiday ... very nice and unusual ...
I love this! My fav kind of place to stay. I’d choose this over all the expensive places you’ve stayed. And dinner in the little town would be a charming walk. Very noce!
This is an awesome place to stay Tim but would I pay £245 for a night ?im not so sure, great video as always Tim 👍😉💪
You and me both!
Same here, looked really nice but to see more you need two nights so £500! Alot of money even if it has honesty fridge and memory foam mattress.
@@richard3004 And noisy neighbours! You pay more for them!😂😂Yes, it is too much money for a short stay in North Norfolk!
I think it’s increased a lot perhaps with price of electricity? We also stayed at The Pigs a few miles away and that is also very expensive. UK breaks don’t seem value for money these days.
Lovely place, great video Tim.
Thanks 👍
Hi Tim ! Wow this is amazing so beautiful and unique. I'd love to stay there wonderful. It's not often you can say you slept in James Blunts bedroom 😉. Loved the vlog thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
Hi Tim, I do enjoy your videos especially the ones of the hotels that are not very good but this video was interesting. I would love to stay in that windmill. It looks lovely. Good job Tim.

In Kent there are round oast houses. There are several converted and used as hotels etc. You might like them.
Hiya Tim, great vlog,it's funny because I've have stayed in a windmill on a school trip but can't remember where in that area but I remember it was Norfolk and look very like that one I stay in,love the future in your room and very nice room, and wow what a view,I would pay that price because not only is it beautiful but to have that experience, take care and 👍
Aw Tim, what a lovely video. We did the coastal walk from Cley to Blakeney last year and it was just wonderful. The windmill looked lovely, thanks for sharing😊

You are very welcome
How lovely, I would stay there but book really early to have the wheel room. Beautiful views .
So cozy looking!!! I’d need to stay at the very top, there’s no way I could sleep w/ guests walking up and down like that.
It must take you forever to film these, all the different camera shots you produce, very clever and brilliant video's
A lot lol
Of course, the windmill belonged to James Blunt. Love Cley and surrounding Blakeney, Tim. 👍
What a cute beautiful place to stay with amazing surroundings .
You couldn’t ask for more in your room and a great choice for breakfast too . Cheers Tim 👍🏻
Agree
Hi Tim, thank you so much for your video content it’s absolutely fantastic!
I love this area, my wife and I have stayed a few times at The Blakeney Hotel and often walked on the path that you pointed out through the marshes over to Cley and the windmill onto the village.
You, Gaby and thumps should stay at the Blakeney Hotel it’s great for families and the views are equally fantastic over the Estuary….I would love to see you all on a live around that coastal path over to Cley. Would be great on a beautiful day in the summer. It takes around 45/50 minutes. Thanks again for the videos keep up the great work!
Thanks Paul, Means a lot
Whimsical faces on the fireplace I would say. I love this entire property! Quiet lovely, thank you for the tour.
Love the room so cozy
Very interesting thanks for sharing think it’s worth the price for such an unique experience and such a beautiful location ideal for a special occasion 👍🏻❤️
