We used to go camping in tents and found over the years the noise levels got louder and later, either from TV's in caravans or groups talking and laughing into the small hours. People forget, if you are under canvas you can hear a pin drop a mile away. Some sites had an 11 o'clock curfew which they were quite strict about, but others it could go on all night.

To be fair that parking area wasn’t a proper campsite, I wouldn’t expect that kind of disturbance in the morning on a campsite or at least not the ones that I have stayed at. Park ups are just as vulnerable to disturbances like you suffered as well and yes I have suffered but at least you have the option to drive away and find another spot. I keep levelling ramps in my camper and I’m happy to use them when not on a site, if I was forced to leave for safety reasons I would leave the ramps and swing back later to see if they were still there. For what space they take up I would rather have them available but everyone is different. I do agree with you as I prefer park ups rather than campsites, much more freedoms and often much nicer views.
Hi Shawn I love watching your videos, we live in Cornwall and quite often we go out in our van. Last night me and My Husband was discussing where we will go off to in our Van today, it's only when I put your video on last night and I said to Lee why not go to Gorrven Haven as its not to far from where we live. Used to live in Gorran. Funny seeing it from a tourist pov. Couple of things: best snorkelling is the other side of the bay, round the back of the harbour wall there’s a large underwater rock. This is where all the fish sit. Gorran Haven has its own microclimate. It can be raining up the road in St Austell by fine n dry in the harbour. There’s another bar at the hotel too. Great vid. We’ve stayed at this car park for quite a few years now. It was £6 overnight when we 1st stayed. We’ve always stayed in the big car park - only went through the gates once. Hi Sean just love you're vidios keep up the good work. You're van is you're house on wheels don't give up on the van, make sure there is always fuel in the old tank !!!
First time I seen your channel. Those leveling things are good value. In Sweden they are about 200 SEK for a pair, which I guess roughly amounts to 15 pounds. Then you get one of them cross sectional or double bubble levels to see that you are level. Easy fix and helps your sleep.
Done a ton of camping over the years and of all the pitfalls and downsides uneven ground is easily the worst for me. Trying to sleep on an uneven bed aarrrgghhhhhhh! Started carrying but lumps of wood AND a spirit level, how sad is that LOL. 2nd worst? Never set up camp next to still/stagnant water, mozzies drive you crazy! Great content mate and glad the van all ok now. And supper looked awesome.
Enjoy watching your videos, It's making want to get my license and start getting about with family. I would love to see how it would go with a Micro camper van ( Ford Connect or a VW caddy maxi )

I listen to music when camping but not loud, i have been on a site where lots of folk have music loud and turned mine up to hear it😊
Did i see a San Miguel being consumed with the steak dinner , good call, my favourite beer these days .
I remember a really nice family friendly beach vibe in Gorran Haven. Great to see those clear underwater shots. Thanks x
Hi Sean just love you're vidios keep up the good work. You're van is you're house on wheels don't give up on the van, make sure there is always fuel in the old tank !!!
Great video Shaun, loved the hump back whale shot! ;-)
Keep up the work! Great content as always 🤙
First time I seen your channel.
Those leveling things are good value. In Sweden they are about 200 SEK for a pair, which I guess roughly amounts to 15 pounds. Then you get one of them cross sectional or double bubble levels to see that you are level. Easy fix and helps your sleep.
Welcome to the channel
Cant wait to get out and about DARN SOUTH MATE haha 8 week van completion pending, keep it up mate our mrs wants a PS in the van now shes seen yours!
Great video as usual, you're part of my Sunday morning ritual! Nice clear waters, hopefully they start that way for a while.
We love your videos Sean. Cornwall is our go to place and we often visit the places you have visited. Cheers Mate Si & Ade
Brilliant video, I enjoyed watching, nice little village.
Enjoy watching your videos, It's making want to get my license and start getting about with family.
I would love to see how it would go with a Micro camper van ( Ford Connect or a VW caddy maxi )
Get those ramps, they are a game changer 😎
Just noticed your camp table, I've just bought one last week for my beers, it's a niffy lightweight bit of kit 😎
I completely get your frustration with the van breaking down, it's a ford afterall F = fix O = or R = repair D = daily. 😂😅
2:05 we use those and only when wild camping or on streets. Nobody spots or cares most of the time. We went for black ones which are very low key.
Must check out Gorran Haven...I know its by Mevagissey somewhere...living in St Austell, I should know...got a pair of levelling ramps in the van.....parked at the Miners Arms St Agnes...highly recommended...x2 meals plus x2 drinks overnight stay..oh wife had a desert £42.00p...and plenty of Coast walks....car park empty...except one van that stayed overnight...decided to park 12 inches from us...lol...I did move for some personal space 😂
Another great video , water looked amazing wish I lived by the sea you always make us envious x keep up the good work look forward to next weeks 😊 x
great vid, im a van lifer and van dealer and was down thag way a few weeks ago, went to there to check it out as spmehwre to stay in the future, I like to lure fish so the lack of fish is concerning lol!
Noticed yiu can overnight in the carpark by the shop on way into pentewan then theres the ace stopover in the carpark at mevagissey too, was suprised how camper friendly it is round there, im in Devon and nirmally stealth csmp rpund here and into dorset to fish but will do more in cornwall now and youre vids are dead handy
The water looked stunning, seemed like a lovely little village.
Me and the misses just come back from Cornwall we stayed in a few places we watched you stay at we both look forwards to your love Sundays ❤keep it up 👌👍
Seen a couple who'd decided to have a countryside picnic and what else to accompany them and all? Their radio!
So envious but then I’m 75 and old and past it but I’ll watch your travels with interest making me smell the coffee 😎👌☕️ as the Americans say neighbours welcome to my deck enjoy my music 😂
Camping on a sunny day with a beer sounds like perfection
Cheers for the Video.
I’m lay in bed after phoning in Sick this morning, due to fluid projecting from both ends of me all night.
Anyways, just happened to come across your video while surfing RUclips (never really done that before either),and quite enjoyed it surprisingly. Like I said, I don’t really watch RUclips videos, other than to get the information I need to have a go myself fault finding, fixing, building and Fishing stuff.
So cheers for that ‘informative’ information and please keep it up. No doubt I’ll probably check in again now, thank you and all the very best to you and Family.
Aidy.
Get well soon mate
