I would have the light grey. It's great that Pubs are working with campervans. We need to start working together to get through these difficult times. Thanks for the channel, great as ever.x
About 5 years ago i reunited a go pro owner with a camera i found in a cave via Facebook that he'd lost about 6 months previously whilst surfing on Fistral. So don't give up hope.
Well said Katie! 👏🏼 My brother lived for 25 years down an unmarked quiet little country lane, that'ss only for access to the properties. Then one day the local authority came and put up various unessary urban road signs. My brother went out late at night and ripped them all out 😂 i was a bit shocked, but admiring. Its what i would have wanted to do but in those days wouldn't dare 😮. Bloody would now though! 😂
I first visited The Engine Inn in 1989 ... My parents had just moved to the village in the valley below, my mate & I had followed the van my dad had hired, unload all there stuff and walked up the hill for a well earned pint. I thought the bar staff were taking the piss when they told me the gents was outside ... It's had a lot of work done on it since then! My dad had holidayed in the area in the 30s (family friend lived in a cottage near the moorland across the valley from the Engine) - the pub had barely changed from the 30s until it had a big rebuild / extension in the 90s Glad that you visited - and glad you liked the place - good idea not charging you to stay (in the new, new car park ... I think the flatter parking was part of the land the pottery that was there in the 90s / early 2000s used, or between it and the Engine. The mine is Giew Mine ... My mum has tea towels and coasters with it on! The local parish (Towednack) used it on 'merch' a while back. Great to see you enjoying the water again - I hope someone recovers your tiny camera, though salt water and sand won't be helpful in it being functional afterwards :-( Thanks for your great video - and the reminder that I really need to try and get down to see my mum soon!
Traditionally inns and alike used to be places where travellers could rest for the night with good ale and a comfortable bed. So I feel this should be imbedded into the licensing agreement of the inns who have car parking and can allow all motorhomes and camper vans all be it limited numbers pers inn for a small charge or caveat to buy food or drink from the inn. Great video chap, let’s keep them going 🤙🏻
It’s Great you stayed Loyal to Cornwall Shaun, I couldn’t think of anything more better then spending your life down there with the family and all them memories since you were little ❤️☺️ Happy Father’s Day Also Dude 🙏🏼
Another great video! I love how you showcase your beautiful Cornwall and all it has to offer vanlifers! I’m from the SE but Cornwall will always have a special place in my heart. I was married there and have had dozens of camping holidays there over the years ❤ You’ve given me the confidence to revisit, but this time in my camper 🚐 Thank you! 😊
My boy spotted Shaun at the Sea Shanty festival in falmouth yesterday, and made me go up and introduce him… thanks very much for taking the time to have a quick chat Shaun, you made his day… he looks out for your van whenever we go out 🤣 Take care buddy, nice to meet you… Kev
Congratulations, its the best feeling in the world, seeing them being born and then taking them home Mines 8months old now and it's a different challenge every day and I absolutely love it
Shaun, little trick.. there is some velcro wraps that i use that wraps around cables (they have a loop in the one end).. use some of that to velcro some light flip flops onto your paddleboard for walking across rough carparks. ( i would say reusable ziptie.. but i wouldn't want that coming off and into the sea.. we have enough plastic waste in there). also get a tether for your camera. they have saved my go pro coming off the bike a few times. Keep up with the vids. see you next week. Jay.
I so glad the algorithm suggested your channel. Ive watced half a dozen of your videos so far and enjoyed each moment youve shared with us , apart from when you lost your camera 😔
Gutted you lost your camera Shaun, I’d like to see a before and after of St Ives. When I was a kid I went to st Ives a few times and remember Ponkles art gallery the lady was so quirky and painted cats so much has changed from then and that was 30 years ago. Take care. Cheers 😊
Good video, even without the lost footage. Nice to see you got married there, I live in Yorkshire and used to holiday in Cornwall as a child, I proposed to my wife on St Ives harbour in 2016, thankfully she said yes. Keep the great content coming, I love Cornwall and your videos take me back to great memories.
Oh that sucks, losing that camera especially on its first outing. That beach looks lovely and i love that it holds special memories for you. Staying in the pub car park is a good idea, you get somewhere to park and they get customers, you both win. Have a great week.
Pubs doing this is a great idea! And i think homeowners should jump on this as well, rent out their drive for a few quid a night, everyone happy, and driver can have a beer or 8.
Was really enjoying this Shaun and enjoying the music choices with it so much. So sorry you lost your camera.. Hope someone miraculously finds it for you 🙏🍀... and then to hear that I'd won the voucher... fantastic and thank you so much Shaun 🎉😁🍻
Paint it flat charcoal. Flat paint helps hide imperfections, you could live with it for a while and if you decide later you don’t like you can cover it or even paint it another colour.
I reckon do the door in a similar colour to the roof carpet/trim in your cab mate. The light grey keeps the colours similar and best of both light and dark 🤙
There are loads of pubs in Derbyshire that do this, it's great for both parties, bit of business gorgeous the pub and a decent safe place for us to stay in our vans 😊
For what's it worth a lighter colour lining on the door may show dirt and especially grotty raindrops when the door is open and closing. I would go a more darker shade, after all it's got the light from the window. Love, St Ives but my dog hates it, he dives in shop doorways to avoid all the people..... Costs us a fortune 😂😂
Hi Shaun, when I go paddle boarding with a camera I always put it on a floaty handle or mount it securely to the board. If you don’t have a mount point on your board you can always stick one on with 3M tape. Save some heartache!
The door would look good In lighter shade I think. Hopefully someone is able to retrieve the camera and return it, despite the lost footage still a great video as always 👍
Good video, thanks for sharing the pub information good to know, shame you lost your camera thing, hope you were insured, I allways insured my camera gear, keep safe, have a good day thanks 🎉🎉🎉
St.Ives and the Bay is my most favourite place in Cornwall. Shame it gets so busy peak season and the car parks are a nightmare. It’s best out of season but unfortunately weather is usually pants. A few years ago we were campervanning in Looe over Christmas and took a drive to St.Ives to walk around the town on Christmas Day in the evening. Everything was closed, even the pubs, and it was so peaceful and quiet. For me it’s a place to enjoy in all seasons. If we’re staying in st Ives we stay at Hellesveor campsite just outside the town near the Hexagonal house, a lovely little campsite within walking distance of the town, but not barefoot and carrying a paddleboard 😂
Always look forward to Sunday mornings! Sorry for the loss of the 360. Maybe a mid to light gray for the side hatch on your van. Thank you for your hard work!
Another great vlog and slowly I hope more pubs around the country and even towns will do this in allowing free parking and the people will then use the facilities and help support the local community or business and it’s popular in France 🇫🇷 and Spain as have done this myself so I guess park for nights is also trying to do their bit aswell but more like this if it’s possible 😊😊😊
Great update video Shaun, gutted about the lost camera, these things happen. Looked a nice pub to camp in the car park, thanks for taking us along with you, love St Ives one of those places to visit, out of the holiday season as like you say it gets rammed. Cheers Tris 😀
Great video. I agree, what that pub is doing is great. It's nice to see that not everyone is trying to rob people when staying over for the night. Bad luck with the camera.
Thanks for some great shots of St Ives...we try and visit each year Spring or Autumn....stayed at the Pedn Olva back in April (you paddled and walked passed).....great place when not too busy.
Good video Shaun i have always had a softspot for st Ives. With your sliding door I'd tidy the top up paint it White and put a gray panel on the the bottom.
Hi Shaun, yeah me thinks a lighter trim colour for the window, that'll break up the monotony also its a window you don't need to be framing it in black
I love that pubs are doing this, used to hate going for a drive and then wondering what I can do with my van because gagging for a pint. And want to wander about. 😊
Dude...i just have to say well done on whst you have achieved with your channel. Watched a snorkeling video where you were with your dad saying you had hit 1000 subscribers and now look at you! Gone from 600 views to over 100,000 on some videos... Keep it up man...
I would like to see old and new footage of St Ives. I have fond memories of it myself with my childhood and I’m trying to create the same memories with my child too
Cornwall has been a frequent destination of mine since childhood, and I continue to visit both independently and with my family. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a stealth camper at the moment, so I am considering wild camping as an alternative. Enjoy watching your videos. 👍
I have been going to that beach every year all my life. Love Cornwall so much once I retired I now live in Hayle. Haven’t been to that pub since it got a 0 food inspection rating, but by the numbers of people eating it must have improved. Will give it a go! Van light grey carpet I think. Shame about the camera I wouldn’t trust magnets. Ken
My brother had his wedding at that hotel, I love st Ives, I think people would love to see your old videos and doing them and now comparisons, I hope you do it 👍🏼, yet another great video thanks 👍🏼
We are currently in Cornwall and will be staying in St Ives from Thursday , we walk our dog everyday when the tide is out there , so we will look for your 360 camera Shaun 👍🏻
Sorry that you lost your camera Shaun. If you pick my comment next week, put the prize towards a replacement and keep up the good work. Happy Fathers Day.
I actually got married in 2021 not 2001 😂 my wife would’ve only been 9 in 2001 😬
😂
Perfectly acceptable if your name was Muhammad !!
😂😂😂
Me and my wife were just saying haw old is he if he got married in 2001😂 thought you were about our age late 30s😂😂
So gutted you lost your camera. Keep up the good work 👌👌
I wuz gonna say you'd hardly aged a bit 😅
I would have the light grey. It's great that Pubs are working with campervans. We need to start working together to get through these difficult times. Thanks for the channel, great as ever.x
Happy Father's Day son great vid despite losing most of your footage on the brand new camera glad I got to touch it when I did 🤣
About 5 years ago i reunited a go pro owner with a camera i found in a cave via Facebook that he'd lost about 6 months previously whilst surfing on Fistral. So don't give up hope.
Another Sunday morning's breakfast viewing done, love it, Love Sundays
Perfect start to Father’s Day, Love Sundays, Cold Play, and St Ives 👍

Great idea of that pub, getting extra customers in, and even better you could stay free and have a real beer instead of the 0% stuff.... happy days!!
Another great video! I love how you showcase your beautiful Cornwall and all it has to offer vanlifers!
I’m from the SE but Cornwall will always have a special place in my heart. I was married there and have had dozens of camping holidays there over the years ❤

Good to see my local town making an appearance ! The engine is a great locals pub, keep up the good work ! Loving the content lately!
Thank you very much!
The flash of "thats what she said" was so quick I thought , was I dreaming or did it appear! I rewound til I caught it .
My boy spotted Shaun at the Sea Shanty festival in falmouth yesterday, and made me go up and introduce him… thanks very much for taking the time to have a quick chat Shaun, you made his day… he looks out for your van whenever we go out 🤣

I'm 100% light grey, complementary colours rock 👊
Love Love Sundays.....this along with Those Happy Days.

Your always so positive even when things don't go so well like losing your camera and breaking the lens on the other one, so refreshing to see 😊
Happy fathers day shaun.. going to hospital soon to collect new addition to the family ❤

Congratulations, its the best feeling in the world, seeing them being born and then taking them home

Love Sundays rally, Lands End to Billy o groats or whatever ever it’s called. 👍

“That’s what he said “ 😂 😂 😂
Spotted that about 10 rewind n pauses to see what it said 😂😂
@@mrdubdude ha ha me too! C x
I would go with a light grey on the side door. Goes well with Black and white....
Oh that sucks, losing that camera especially on its first outing. That beach looks lovely and i love that it holds special memories for you. Staying in the pub car park is a good idea, you get somewhere to park and they get customers, you both win. Have a great week.
So sorry about your camera but you still keep smiling regardless. I hope you have had a lovely Father's day with Charlie.
Pubs doing this is a great idea! And i think homeowners should jump on this as well, rent out their drive for a few quid a night, everyone happy, and driver can have a beer or 8.
I really liked this upload and thought the B roll was brilliant! Stay positive mate, we're all invested in you that's why we watch.👍
Was really enjoying this Shaun and enjoying the music choices with it so much. So sorry you lost your camera.. Hope someone miraculously finds it for you 🙏🍀... and then to hear that I'd won the voucher... fantastic and thank you so much Shaun 🎉😁🍻
I'd go for a lighter grey. The darker carpet will frame it I think it'll look ok.
beer mats around the sliding door add one on every pub visited 👍
Use a blue carpet liner in the side door. It’ll match your decor x
Paint it flat charcoal. Flat paint helps hide imperfections, you could live with it for a while and if you decide later you don’t like you can cover it or even paint it another colour.
Some really lovely filming at the pub and so good to see St Ives again - even if you had to walk back carrying your paddle board x
I reckon do the door in a similar colour to the roof carpet/trim in your cab mate. The light grey keeps the colours similar and best of both light and dark 🤙
The video was still great. No worries! ❤
Go for a nice contrasting colour on the door trim - like Orange, Green or Purple.
Black trim, white panel is the winner I reckon.
There are loads of pubs in Derbyshire that do this, it's great for both parties, bit of business gorgeous the pub and a decent safe place for us to stay in our vans 😊

The GoPro has a floaty handle that’s why I didn’t lose both cameras 😂
04:03 nice! Had to be quick to read that!
Condolences for the Camera. I don't know if that kind of thing ever washes up on shore, but here's to hope!
Thanks again for the fun video!
We stayed just up the road on a cl site great pub really friendly to .
Think the white cupboard doors look great ,maybe a lighter grey for the door if you dont want it to blend in.
Gutted you lost your camera Shaun. Love St Ives so much. You should have got a pasty to cheer you up 👍🏻
Nice to see there are still odd cracks n crevices were freedom can still be found in this country
St.Ives and the Bay is my most favourite place in Cornwall. Shame it gets so busy peak season and the car parks are a nightmare. It’s best out of season but unfortunately weather is usually pants. The video didn't suck at all. In fact, I quite enjoyed it. But so sorry about your camera! As always, thanks for taking us along on your adventure. :)
Great video shaun, regardless of losing the footage. Always great to see you out on the SUP ☺️
Thanks 👍
Will give the pub a go when we are down that way. Love St Ives and the Hayle/Gwithian area.

I think a lovely blue on the door to match your cushions ❤
Great video. I agree, what that pub is doing is great. It's nice to see that not everyone is trying to rob people when staying over for the night.
Bad luck with the camera.
Go for the Black carpet on the door and then a white panel to give some contrast.. Think a light carpet will just look weird
Great video, thats such a great idea that some pubs are offering. Id love to see some now and then St Ives footage. 😊
Now & then video - absolutely! I spent many a family camping holiday in Carbis Bay & St. Ives. Would be a real treat to see your videos
Maybe one day!
I reckon a nice sunshine yellow carpet for the door - bit of accent colour in there
Maybe ply the door and paint the panel white to match the cupboards. Vid spot on as usual 👌
Good idea!
I would choose light grey and the board at the bottom to be dark grey. Great pub stop
I recommend going grey color for trim .
St ives is about to be swamped with divers looking for you insta 360 😁
Hi Shaun, I think a white panel down the bottom. With beige carpet up top to match your wood trim. 😉
St Ives looks beautiful 😍. I need to visit there. Gutted for you about the camera Shaun. What a lovely place to have a wedding.
Thumbs up awesome watch ⌚ 👍 👌 shared out in you tube community.
Thanks for some great shots of St Ives...we try and visit each year Spring or Autumn....stayed at the Pedn Olva back in April (you paddled and walked passed).....great place when not too busy.
White carpet or whatever surface would match the rest of the van. It has a real clean look. Dig the videos, take care.
Surely it's "that's what she said"? 😉😆good video and cheers! 🍺👍🏻I'll remember the "before 9am" tip for the parking there as well.
I feel your pain, my drone drowned in a canal last week! Arrgh gutted too!! Great video though and good to see pubs coming up with creative ideas.
Love St. Ives . Always reminds me of Tea treat buns. Love watching your videos ...
Light grey to add contrast to the dark 😊
Happy Fathers Day. That overnight spot looks great Shaun. Enjoy the rest of your day
Good video Shaun i have always had a softspot for st Ives. With your sliding door I'd tidy the top up paint it White and put a gray panel on the the bottom.
Good tip!
A then and now comparison would be great
Agree with the comments for a lighter grey trim!
Hi Shaun, yeah me thinks a lighter trim colour for the window, that'll break up the monotony also its a window you don't need to be framing it in black

Gutted for you 😢 Loving the channel, keep it up as it has inspired me to wild camp more in my van!
I would like to see old and new footage of St Ives. I have fond memories of it myself with my childhood and I’m trying to create the same memories with my child too

Nooo! The camera! The video was still great. I love your channel, so chilling to watch with a beer, after a long day at work.

Happy fathers day Shaun. Hope you get your camera back. All the best.
Thanks 👍
It didn't suck, was a great video! Old St Ives would be great to se, I worked at St Ives Motor Co in the 90s
That blonde/white haired guy in your wedding party is Cute AF!
Hi mate really good vid nice pub stop over think your side door would look good in charcoal match
The rest of van won’t be to dark 👌
Thanks for the tip
My brother had his wedding at that hotel, I love st Ives, I think people would love to see your old videos and doing them and now comparisons, I hope you do it 👍🏼, yet another great video thanks 👍🏼

We are currently in Cornwall and will be staying in St Ives from Thursday , we walk our dog everyday when the tide is out there , so we will look for your 360 camera Shaun 👍🏻
Thank you
Great video, gutted for you re the 360 camera. Despite the loss thought the video and content was fab. Thanks for the video, keep em coming.
Sorry that you lost your camera Shaun. If you pick my comment next week, put the prize towards a replacement and keep up the good work. Happy Fathers Day.
Seeing that footage of little Shaun on the beach - he's way older than I would have thought.
I’m 40 in September
At least you returned to shore safely, and lived to get another camera! :)
