Making her one of the best trained on the battle field, even though she's young. Speaking of Ja'quen, the weapon she had Gendry make was based off of her training with the faceless men, and the one bad chick who tried to kill her. The stalves they used when Arya was blind
@bigw725 one of each I believe. I believe Suzy is British & I know Steejo is Scottish (we had that conversation when the majority of my DNA came back Scottish)😅

They always wanted Bran, because Bran knows everything and has all the "memory" of world and Walkers wanted to kill the memory of men and their world. Bran knew all of this is going to happen so the scene where the Walker is staring at him and Bran has no fear and looked back at him, the Walker kinda looked sideways thinking something is about to happen so thats why he was ready for someone to attack him and Arya was the one he caught mid air but that dropped dagger on the other hand was the one she did the move against Brienne. And when Arya met Bran in Winterfell, he gave her the dagger, said you will need it, the same dagger that was used to kill Bran in his sleep. Great episode! good reaction!

You guys are absolutely right, in all war history there never was such a stupid strategy as charging the cavalry away from the castle. They deserve a medal of stupidity for this, this has never happened in whole of war history, literally ever. This is no tactics. Its beyond laughable its ridiculous. Oh well.... That's what happens without source material. Also the whole series built up to this episode, and it serves as a crescendo to the whole story, should have been used as a last episode and end it there. A fitting end way better than what they managed to do in the end as you will see. It is what it is. Bad choice of not ending the series with this battle.
I cannot agree with you more with what you said about the dothraki armies charging to the enemies they cannot even see😢 it was a chilling scene but there really is no logic in it…
I don't know if anyone has already made this comment ... But not all Targaryens are fire proof ... It's only a Dany thing ... remember back to season 1 episode 6 a golden crown her brother was killed by moten gold poured on his head .. and Dany said " He's not a dragon ..fire cannot kill a dragon" ... I know it's a long time ago but please remember that all Targaryens are not fire proof ...
A lot of people criticized this episode and even though there was some bad battle strategy I’m glad Suzy enjoyed it. I felt the same way when I first watched it ❤
Yeah everybody can look at a battle scene like this after the fact and say "Oh I could have done this this and that SO much better!" But yeah maybe, but would it have made for good television tension? Like honestly, first line of defense should have been everybody with dragon-glass arrows. If not that then fire arrows. Dont even send a cavalry into the frey, just blot out the moon with loads of arrows. Not only that but if they're coming from a wide open field, I would have lined that field with so many spiked logs with dragonglass stuck on them, so even if a bunch of wights trip over them they'll just die. That would hopefully whittle down the dead army pretty good. Meanwhile run passes with the dragons with fire blasts. But then sure, the Night King can come in with his blizzard powers, killing the visibility of Jon and Dany. But you know what else? I would have got like five of the best killers with Valerian Steel blades, camp em out in the surrounding forest, and you see the White Walker generals standing in back of the whole army. Sneaky-sneaky attack the generals, kill one or two and you'll see big chunks of the army fall. If any of the dead reached the walls of Winterfell, I would have lined the parapets with spikes of dragonglass so the dead would cut themselves trying to climb up! Bam, nobody getting in. Episodes over. haha And IF by then the Night King gets to where Bran is by some miracle, I would have had pitfall traps around where Bran is sitting. Bam, Night King falls in the pitfal that has some glass spikes below. Game over then, episode over. We won without hardly losing anybody. But, all that makes for boring TV if there's no tension and no stakes.
@@RyoHazuki224The silliest thing about the Dothraki is that they were originally planning to charge without flaming weapons. (They didn’t know Melisandre would show up.) So not only was it a stupid tactic to charge the dead; they were doing it with weapons incapable of destroying the dead.
I jumped up when Arya stabbed the Night Regent, too. Yep. I didn't even think. Just jumped and said how aHai? Sorry, sorry... I'm done. I'll see myself out.
After 7 seasons of build-up, they turned them into an enemy that could be defeated by a single stabbing, in a two episode battle, where almost everyone of the 10 or more main characters gets out alive just fine. They also never bother to explain all the BS buildup elements, like the Whitewalker signs, Bran's telepathy payoff and such.
@@Steve-eh4db "Should I get out the violin out for you & play some melancholy music?" Yes. For the series' final season. "This episode was epic" I guess one benefit of being easily amused is that you're never dissastified with the crap you're given.
The hell you talking about? The WWs were ALWAYS enemies that could be defeated by a stabbing. Powerful, yet brittle. That is what made them unique. And I'm very sorry that you're unable to handle some mystery left unanswered. If someone breaks into your home and wants to kill your entire family, you don't stop to ask him about his life story. That is what makes GOT truer to life than much of the pablum out there. Finally, how many main characters among the good guys died in the entire LOTR trilogy? I count a grand total of two, Boromir and Theoden. So, gtfo with whining about only 6 main characters out 20 or so dying in the long night. Without spoiling anything, each surviving character has a role to play in the story to come.
I only had HBO for the last season.. I waited years for it to come and the night I've watched this ep, I was crying like a baby but trying to keep quite as kids were sleeping and here it was about 2/3 am... gosh... to me, despite the darkness, I liked it, it was still beautiful...
Flame retardance is most definitely NOT a general Targaryen trait. Aegon V and his eldest son, Duncan the Small, both died in the Tragedy at Summerhall, a large fire which burned down the Targaryen summer residence. For context on when this happened visa vis the storyline, Prince Rhaegar was one of the survivors of the fire, having been born at Summerhall while the fire was burning. Hell, the Targaryens' primary way of dealing with funerary needs was cremation. Before the dragons died out, deceased Targaryens would be wrapped in linens and put on a pyre, and then the mourners would have a dragon light the pyre. The whole "unburnt" thing is exclusively a Daenerys thing. Apparently GRRM had intended that Dany surviving the flames of Drogo's pyre would be a one time freak miracle occurrence and being fireproof wouldn't even be a general Daenerys trait either, but the show made her permanently fireproof.
I love Suzy's reaction. Very emotional!!! Yup, I guess we were all in the same position like you, like: "how on earth they´re going to survive this¨ and holding the breath when I saw Arya jumping behind the Night King was... amazing, the score in that scene created the right feeling for that, I remember thinking... I'd rather see the action better. /// Not all Targaryens are immune to fire. You finally learn Jorah's (Batman) name and now he's gone. /// Lady Lyanna Mormont is supposed to be about 13 in season 8. Where do I start! I hope you guys read this!. I Love this Episode had me on the edge . Great for ratings! BUT ... We never got the infamous battle between Jon and the night king no sword play , nothin! Jon knows the night king raises the dead but yet they still put the old, women and kids in the crypts ? Lol Bran had potential to do a lot more in the fight! Arya hands down is my favorite character but for the sake of the show ... SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE THE ONE TO THE KILL THE NIGHT KING! nor have that dagger. When "Aegon The conqueror" came to Westeros he had a vision about the long night , a prophecy that a Targaryen, Azor Ahai (The Prince/Princess that was promised) will be the one to defeat the long night so a Targaryen must alway be on the throne He then engraved that prophecy on a valerian steel dagger (YES THAT SAME DAGGER) which got handed the from heir to heir making sure they knew the prophecy and that a Targaryen must be on the thrones when the long night happens , so having arya kill the night king just throws the whole Targaryen plot out the window . Idk just my opinion
I quite like the whole "the future is yet to be written" twists when it comes to clearly laid out prophecies though. I love it when a book or story lays out a prophecy that you think is being followed then there's a big bamboozle. -Steejo
The Night King (the first white walker) got turned several thousand of years before dragons came. But, of course, targarians could have had the reistance to fire before that.
Despite writing all the odd tactical decisions in this episode, they did do a good job of making most ppl completely forget about Arya at the end there.
Wondering if having a supersized lawnmower could had helped the calvary charge with most of the zombies being cut in half. They're still alive but the top half will be crawling around using its hands so that they're less mobile. Of course that won't work on giants but the majority of the zombies army will be like the black knight in MontyPython&Holy Grail. They'll just be trying to hop around if one or both they're legs are cut off.
Ok. My favorite newlyweds. Here is my take & opinion on this episode. I love that Arya killed the Night King. A lot of people were pissed it wasn't Jon. In a way, it was. Jon set Arya on her journey by giving her Needle. He gathered everyone, The Prince That Was Promised, to fight the Night King & his Army, including The Princess that was Promised, Dany & her Dragons. Serio, who her Dad hired, taught Arya how to do the hand switch, she practiced on Bri. She learned to fight blind with a stick, learned to move quiet & quick like a cat. She snuck up on Jon at the Godswood, Bran gave her the valeryian dagger at The Godswood. Beric's purpose for coming back all those times, like you said, was to save Arya. Theon looking back on the ground at the Night King approaches Bran kills me. I think Bran worged into Viserion to try to keep Jon from getting to the Godswood. Jon is an amazing fighter, but it comes with his big heart, so Bran tried to keep him from getting there through Viserion. If you think about it, it seemed like Viserion was playing defense, blocking him from getting any closer. When you see one of the Night King Soldier's hair blow, that is Arya being so quick and light on her feet. I think Jon yelled at Viserion, knowing now he is a Targaryen & was hoping to maybe get a connection?? Just a guess. Could be frustration😅. Lyanna Mormont went out like a Champion!! As did Jorah, protecting his Queen. The Hound putting his fear of flame aside when Beric said they needed to help Arya was beautiful. She is like a Daughter or Neice to him. I do think Dany & Jon stopped shooting as much fire from their dragons & hung out occasionally above the clouds to try to lure the Night King & Viserion away from all that was going on. Isn't it crazy that the dragon that was brought to the bad side was named after Dany's bad brother, and the good one that Jon rode was named after her older good Brother, Jon's Dad. I think I went on long enough. Great reaction.
23:39 Jon & Rhaegal were literally chilling on the battlements the whole time they were trying to light the trenches, like 10 feet away. lmao so much of this episode was irritating, albiet still very entertaining.

I think Dany was gonna light the trench but she could not see, neither could Jon. The Night King brought the storm and no one could see.
I had the BIGGEST stress headache after this episode. I literally had to go outside and breathe in fresh air
The Red Woman 🔥(MVP) going full RPG character this Ep.
+10 Fire Attack for Dothraki ⚔
+10 Fire Defence for Winterfell 🛡
+100 Luck Kill for Arya 💀
Also some people are like "Arya too OP" but she arguably had some of the best training out there. From Hound, Jaquen Ha'gar, Syrio and more.. Making her one of the best trained on the battle field, even though she's young. Speaking of Ja'quen, the weapon she had Gendry make was based off of her training with the faceless men, and the one bad chick who tried to kill her. The stalves they used when Arya was blind
Arya reached max level. She completed ALL the side-quests!
This was genuinely my favorite reaction from anyone who's reacted to GoT 😂 😂 you guys remind me of chandler and monica from friends but British 😂
i think they’re scottish
@bigw725 one of each I believe. I believe Suzy is British & I know Steejo is Scottish (we had that conversation when the majority of my DNA came back Scottish)😅
@@bigw725 Scotland is on the island of Great Britain.
@@bujin1977 i know, but when people say british they usually mean english
@@bigw725 People are wrong. Everyone from the island of Great Britain is British. The English have less of a claim to be called British than either the Scots or the Welsh. They arrived here long after we did.
The direction in this episode is excellent, never mind the tension; the timing is perfect, and you forget about all the foreshadowing with Arya.
Daenerys' own brother was killed with hot metal. Targaryens are not immune to fire. That's only a Danny thing.
Targaryens are not fireproof, only Daenerys is.
Only pure blood are... And dany has pure targaryen blood

Steejo must be a happy man if Suzy can doink all night.
Thank you!!!! I did a spit take. I can't believe he didn't comment one of his awesome silly comments
Suzy I am with you with crying over Batman dying...He tried so hard to get welcomes back home and restore his honor. He restored his honor and had the best death for a knight! Dying for your queen. He was a great man with the most loyalty ever known, but now his watch has ended
I thought for sure Bran was hiding a bomb of dragonglass in his lap under that 300lb coat and was gonna set it off when the NK got close enough
Liana Mormont is the actress who Ellie character play as named after Jon Snow Mother
John isn’t immune to fire. He burned his hand throwing a lamp on the walker attacking Commander Mormont in season 1.
the thing about it just being a tv-show, the good shows and movies makes you connect with the story and the characters in it so when that link is severed we do the emotional lash of it. It is perfectly natural to have strong emotions about it.
Guys... Arya has to shut BLUE EYES! Get there faster! Lol
Yay! Suzi got it!
They stopped firing so they wouldn't hit their own people.
1:01:37 - Arya gets her Patrick Swazey moment. I ❤ her soooo much. Thank you Arya! The HERO of Winterfell!! 🥷
Brilliant reaction both 👏 Suzy I felt just like you when I watched it for the 1st time, gave me a great memory of being stressed af lol I cried buckets over Jorah 💔 and my heart rate doubled just sitting on my sofa 😂
Really enjoyed this reaction vid
That dagger drop was .. 'the switch'
I am so sorry for whats about to come later :(
The White Walkers can create a storm that snuffed out the dragon fire and make impossible to see while flying plus Danny and Jon and their dragons were supposed to stay close to Bran and wait until the Night King comes 😂😂😂
10:55 “Great now the enemies can see us, yaaayyy!” 😂😂
Fanominal reaction guys, it's really fun to have this journey with you. I love you guys so much.
By the time the series ends, Steejo will be deaf after so much zusy screaming. XD
I also called the night king a cheater when he raised the dead on Jon 😊
I cannot agree with you more with what you said about the dothraki armies charging to the enemies they cannot even see😢 it was a chilling scene but there really is no logic in it…
Uncut reaction on Patreon was even more amazing!!These are the best reactors. I really enjoy watching them
I don't know if anyone has already made this comment ... But not all Targaryens are fire proof ... It's only a Dany thing ... remember back to season 1 episode 6 a golden crown her brother was killed by moten gold poured on his head .. and Dany said
" He's not a dragon ..fire cannot kill a dragon" ...
Episodes over. haha
And IF by then the Night King gets to where Bran is by some miracle, I would have had pitfall traps around where Bran is sitting.
@@jwsel Haha true.
I wonder if maybe they were planning on an arrow volley first before the charge?
@@jwsel They would still be accompanied by giant fire balls
"It was just a red shirt" lol I love Steejo's references. I get them all at least :p
I jumped up when Arya stabbed the Night Regent, too. Yep. I didn't even think. Just jumped and said how aHai? Sorry, sorry... I'm done. I'll see myself out.
I've seen this episode so many times between re-watching it and watching reactors and I still get goosebumps when I watch.
After 7 seasons of build-up, they turned them into an enemy that could be defeated by a single stabbing, in a two episode battle, where almost everyone of the 10 or more main characters gets out alive just fine. They also never bother to explain all the BS buildup elements, like the Whitewalker signs, Bran's telepathy payoff and such.
it was all to fuck over daenerys b4 she had to fight cersei 🙄🙄🙄🙄😒😒
I hate this episode with a passion, they've literally been building up to this since episode 1 of the show and we get... this?
1 episode battle
How Steejo didn't comment when Suzy said she can "doink on night" blows my mind
44:04 ~ I had to go back and look at the Thumbnail. AND WOW! Red Woman O Face!!!
😅😅😅 HAHAHAHAHAHA
Well, at least she learned his name before he died.
So glad you two reacted with "Yep, this plan's dumb" lol.
OK... This is it! What it is? I don´t know but here we go!!!!
Stay Safe Guys!!!!
I've always said .. this is the best TV series ever!
Melisandre was the real MVP in this episode
I loved this episode when it first aired despite all the shit it got for the lighting and battle tactics.
I love that Suzy said bran was watching tv cause one of the memes when the ep aired was bran was watching endgame cause if i remember right they came out on the same weekend, or close to it anyway😂
(Jon faces the Night King.)
Me: this is it, the fight we've all been waiting for.
(Knight King starts raising the dead.)
Me: Oh you goddamn COWARD!!
Now I love Sam like everyone else but he should have been down in that crypt! He spent the whole episode an inch from death and getting other people killed trying to save him. They might as well have had Tyrion and Sansa out there!
I can’t imagine the clean up that was required after the battle. So many people would most likely have died from disease. The stench would have been enough to kill you.
@@Leo_ofRedKeep Thanks for your goofy reply.
"Just a flesh wound, Theon!"
Sorry, they edited out the Starbucks cup. You won't see it in the episode. There are picture (stills and clips are available) you can see. By now, you've seen S8E4. The cup would have been
at the 17:40 mark of that episode.
The darkness was a director's choice and a bad one for me. Hard to see and keep up at times. I'd rather see the action better. /// Not all Targaryens are immune to fire.
You finally learn Jorah's (Batman) name and now he's gone. /// Lady Lyanna Mormont is supposed to be about 13 in season 8. She was 10 in season 5. (about 3 years have passed in canon),
So many clue it was Arya to save the day, yet many hated the fact she it was her all along. I loved it! She was my 1st guess after ruling out Jon & Dani.
John burned his hand when he grabbed the hot lamp he threw on the wight when he save his Lord Commnader in the first season. He’s not immune to heat like Daenerys.
Lol
Bran had potential to do a lot more in the fight!
Arya hands down is my favorite character but for the sake of the show ... SHE WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE THE ONE TO THE KILL THE NIGHT KING! nor have that dagger.
When "Aegon The conqueror" came to Westeros he had a vision about the long night , a prophecy that a Targaryen, Azor Ahai (The Prince/Princess that was promised) will be the one to defeat the long night so a Targaryen must alway be on the throne
He then engraved that prophecy on a valerian steel dagger (YES THAT SAME DAGGER) which got handed the from heir to heir making sure they knew the prophecy and that a Targaryen must be on the thrones when the long night happens , so having arya kill the night king just throws the whole Targaryen plot out the window .
Idk just my opinion
I quite like the whole "the future is yet to be written" twists when it comes to clearly laid out prophecies though. I love it when a book or story lays out a prophecy that you think is being followed then there's a big bamboozle. -Steejo
@@SuzySteejo me too. I preferred it was Arya
The Night King (the first white walker) got turned several thousand of years before dragons came. But, of course, targarians could have had the reistance to fire before that.
No rush for the video. You could have waited a few more years. 😂
You should've seen people's reaction and twitter live people were mad at the episode and writing.
Winter isn't coming 🗿🥶
Despite writing all the odd tactical decisions in this episode, they did do a good job of making most ppl completely forget about Arya at the end there.
So, one more thing... you're right, it isn't actually Bran. It is a shadow clone. Might as well Call him Kai. Or Cain. Whichever.
A Valyrian steel platoon to attack and kill the White Walker generals could have helped a lot, making the normal wights explode. in masses.
Or a dragon.
Zombies really enjoy reading. Its a thing.
23:39 Jon & Rhaegal were literally chilling on the battlements the whole time they were trying to light the trenches, like 10 feet away. lmao so much of this episode was irritating, albiet still very entertaining.
