One of the best, most under-rated lyricists of our time. Google some of his music and pull up the words...amazing. "Best of luck and all, try to have some fun, they tell me this great life can always end..." These words hit home as I age and lose many friends. Steve is from my home town, always been very proud of him.
Steve has been cool since he was playing on street corners in the Village pre-Romeo. Still has the spark, the poet's eye, and wonderful musical sensibilities. And this is why I love Asbury Park NJ. A random day in the park finds Steve Forbert jammin out! We gots a cool town!
Cyndi Lauper hitched her wagon to him when he was a wide eyed innocent but he remains almost criminally neglected,in my mind pne of the greats when it comes to songwriting One of the only singrrs to bring tears to my eyes 🎤👍
Ooh, I really like the deep tones. Sorry, I don't know enough about music to describe it correctly. I just like that old-fashioned rock/blues vibe. Didn't catch the name of the song. Hearing probs. Maybe it's the sound of the whole concert I like! 👏 I recognized "A Fool Such as I!" I've sung it with Elvis a million times! 💖 I bet the attendees had a fun time at this concert. Blessings to all of you. 🙏 Maybe I should note the concert song times so I could send all my feedback, and you'd know what I was talking about. Lovin' it, though. 🤣 Oh, my gosh! Please, please, please. Answer that flippin' question: "What Kinda' Guy?" 🌔 Finally, gotta' say it: "the moon in her perfume," she's a natural woman, and you're a natural man.
Like his music
I've never found an artist who compares with Steve.......40 years later..........the best wholesome songwriter/performer there is.............
Beautiful
i'm enjoying this...thanks for posting. i have to admit i'm confused by some of the unusual song titles you've included.
I just realized! Your sound sometimes is like Elvis' early music. I love it! 🙋🧡
Love SteveForberts music
Will be traveling 4 hours from CT to see Steve and the band at this beautiful venue June 16

Here is another complete concert, from his home town from a few years back for a local charity: ruclips.net/video/NwC8GPt7QI8/видео.html
Great set. Always appreciate your live shows. Saw you last in Delray Beach right before COVID. Loved that show with you and George.
Love, love love this guy. Thank you for posting. Saw Mr. Forbet perform solo in NYC, 1992, awesome concert. Greetings from Canada!
I really wish I could have a beer or two with Steve. Love his music since Romeo's Tune was on the radio days.
Just to add one more thing. As a Canadian, Steve's footwork would make ole Stompin' Tom proud.
Awesome! I say it again, Awesome
Thank you for this. Does anyone know the date of this concert 🙂❓
Wish I wasn't so far away.
Sound Guy needs the vocal mic up higher! JJ
