The man knew how to write, then the commercials took him away for awhile. Those 2 or 3 LP's he did back then were special and full of hits others covered. I Ain't Living Long Like This was my ring tone and I sing it in karaoke, buy I have to do Waylons version. Stars on the Water, Shame on the Moon, American Dream, covered by te Dirt Band. Waylons version of I Ain't Living Long was song of the year. Rodney never needed to sell anything, after that. His recent stuff s really good.
