Would have seen this back in 1987 and/or in 1988....when....there was a USA version of TOP OF THE POPS (and in Toronto, Canada, I would have seen it late Friday nights on the Buffalo, New York & on the Rochester, New York CBS-TV stations) that included some of the bands/singers that would have performed on the UK shows......
Maybe someone reading this would know....why....the USA version of TOP OF THE POPS didn't last any longer than it did. (It went off the air after about six months worth of weekly episodes were shown....)
They look so cool there. Bought a black/white strat with that transparent plastic strap in NY after seeing a picture with Sumner😎. One of the best songs about drugs ever. „Now that we’ve grown up together / they’re all taking drugs with me“ they’re afraid of what they see. Bernard.❤
@neworder Please fix and re-upload the True Faith music video again. The face slaps were always in time with the beat, but since it was remastered in HD a few years ago, it's so out of time it's awful. I really don't know how that got through quality control as it's the first thing you see. Such a shame for an iconic video to be ruined (in a day)

New Order is better than Joy Division. I love New Order! Still, trying to be a hard-rock band with leather jackets is silly... With the danger comes real time riffs and solos. They aren't doing that!

I think the heavy chorus effect makes it sound that way, also any intonation issue gets worse higher on the neck.
