When he passed away I was just a kid. Now as an adult I can say that I am a luck woman to listen to him. There is no favourite Song. There is a favourite Singer. Ladies and gentlemen! Mr Frank Sinatra.
Those words, "The Best is Yet to Come" are what is on Frank Sinatra's grave marker, chosen by his family, and very apropos! Truly the best vocalist of the 20th Century, rightfully called "The Voice," he truly was a remarkable musician. A perfectionist, his recordings were always that, just perfect. His concert performances were often tailored to the audiences, as artists often do. I never tire of hearing his music! RIP, Francis Albert!
"Those words, "The Best is Yet to Come" are what is on Frank Sinatra's grave marker" Not anymore, his daughters recently had this great gravemarker replaced with a pathetic one.
@@DocHarpie You got me curious, so I researched it. Somebody defaced the original marker where it contained the word "husband" and afterward a new stone was installed, inscribed "Sleep Warm, Poppa." No husband. The likely idea was to erase the relationship between Frank and his widow, the evil Cinderella's stepmother Barbara Sinatra. It was no secret that Barbara and Frank's two (legitimate) daughters were on the outs for years.

He died in 1998, so this is much earlier than that, however, in the description above , it says 1979, and this looks later than 1979 judging by the stage design, etc. So it seems it is somewhere between 1979 and 1995
WoW! I LOVE to watch him perform LIVE! He is MAGIC. His stance when he sings is " Oh, so signature Frank" It's almost as if he scopes out the stage before he takes it. When he does take the stage, HE OWNS IT!! 👏👏👏

"The Best Is Yet To Come" is the epithet his family chose to put on his grave! What a thrill - May 10, 1984 Arie Crown Theatre Chicago Frank Sinatra is 67 years old, I'm 28, newly engaged. He's got the audience in his pocket. Just magical. Now I'm 64 myself and looking back on all my experiences, and that was one of my favorites. I also attended his 80th birthday 'party' at the Shrine in LA, but it was a much sadder affair, as he didn't speak and was clearly on the decline.

One of my biggest Thrills was seeing the master at circle star theatre in San Francisco bay area…!!I'd ddv ñot move and the best was there Thank you Mr Sinatra❤️🎶🎵🌟
Frank sat in with me (solo pianist) back in '94 when he was in Richmond VA. He finished his Saturday night show, had dinner at the hotel, then he and his entourage sat around the piano and he started singing along as soon as he sat down. I was playing "Autumn In New York" a whole step higher than he recorded it. He sang along on a half dozen tunes, "Everything Happens To Me", "Laura" (his favorite song). When he left a few hours later he stopped at the piano to thank me and said "See you tomorrow night", because he had a second show Sunday night in Richmond. Unfortunately he fainted onstage in the middle of that show and went back to Palm Springs. He retired less than a year later. The biggest night in my 45 year career.

What was like for your dad to play with Frank Sinatra, along with Al Viola, Gene Cherico, Irv Cottler & Vinnie Falcone?
...wow...
He made it sound so simple. His phrasing, his range, his style, impeccable.
It probably was simple for him. I like how you can see him getting into the song.
