It's always awesome seeing your videos. I have severe depression and do have a racing background as my father was a multi-time world champion drag racer so it really helps watching your videos and your sense of humor and you're always positive outlook has made me step away from the edge a few times. Hey guys. I mean this with No disrespect at all and....I Thank you for your service and I pray you both will achieve good health in the future. Although I fully agree that racing and many of the drivers are good for the soul, I refuse to comment to any of them that they have kept me from the edge many times. Nothing more than you guys and your videos sure make me feel good! Those drivers are under enough stress.... Most of them at a higher stress level that a commercial air plane pilot! If a driver reads that comment, and the fact that it's him or his video that kept you from the edge, that is putting them in the place of a doctor or caregiver, and would put their stress levels through the roof, if they pick up what I'm picking up from your comment. Hey we're all human beings and each entitled to his opinion and Once again I thank both of you for helping to make America a country where we can enjoy things, like Clay trying to reach the 340 Mark! I can't get enough of that engine. To me the engine is some serious eye candy. If a mechanic were to ask me how I wanted my car to sound that would be it. The louder the better. Making windows rattle and making car alarms go off.

I'm so lucky I live about 20-25 mins from New England Dragway and have done some racing out there myself, it's a beautiful facility and I'm glad to say that last year they got a VERY big offer on the property and the board of trustees said no thanks.Too many tracks are closing.Please support any local tracks that might be near you!!!😊😊

It was awesome seeing you yesterday, of all the pits a walked up to you were the only one right out front and center talking to fans and signing stuff for everyone, it was so much fun watching you race too. There’s really nothing else like standing right at the fence at the starting line and experiencing it.

Ok so left lane is best for you so far. Glad you get that in round 1. I miss the between rounds with you and Jim in the trailer, talking strategy, and possibilities. Im starting to think it is a team or owner decision to keep that part private??? Who knows. Give em hell tomorrow. No easy ladder scenario. Hope for some 1st round upsets on your end of the ladder. What rpm do you guys usually run out the back then? Just out of curiosity sake.
Incredible that you basically running from idle to top speed through the acceleration curve on the direct drive through the clutch
Understandable why its blower driven and not turbo or other forced induction. You need the torque from idle

I often wonder if the conrods and caps are metched to a specific rod as the bottom end guy seems to pick up any cap and fit it to any rod.
They are matched and numbered.

Hey Clay..... Even though the ladies may find you handsome and you are a good looking gentleman.... I've noticed when your doing the warm ups now, you never show the side view of you in the seat where we can see what the guys are doing to the engine and see the wheels spin for ourselves. I used to love that shot, as it showed a lot more action on what goes into warming that puppy up for a race! Any way you could alternate between the 2 views. In car on one and next to the car on the next video? I miss seeing those butterflies fly when you stomp that loud pedal brother! Hey you take care and good luck as usual.
