- Felt Like we had the car to beat on race day. We made it to the semis but unfortunately we had a problem against Tony Schumacher. Racing ain’t easy.

Bout to be some WINNING in this camp!!!
Not if they can't keep the blower belt on...
@@rogeeeferrari just smile everything will be ok.
@@claymillican25 For the sake of you and your team I hope you're right. Scratching my head regarding this support bearing failure, all the stupid crap that seems to happen to your team and nobody else...
@@rogeeeferrari here is the thing, all these things and more happen to all the other teams. The difference is they aren’t sharing everything that happens. Our team is sharing all this on RUclips with you. We are giving you a real look at what really happened not just the on track you get to see on TV. If you were getting this view from everyone else I think you would have a different perspective of just how hard it is to turn on a single win light. If and when that ever happened I don’t think all your comments would come across so negative. Nitro burning race cars are very difficult to run and they are always breaking something even brand new parts like crank supports.
Roger just smile everything will be ok it’s called racing not winning. If you keep smiling the winning will come.
@@rogeeeferrariI prolly asked you this before BUT DO YOU RACE? Have you EVER raced? Or do you or have you EVER played or participated in a sport?
For those wondering Clay uses the mirror to see the number of ya'll that aren't subbed...Hit that subscribe button and lets get this man to 100K !!! LETS GOOO
Steve Torrance showed some class
Don't be fooled, he has no class. See's a camera, acts accordingly. He's a punk ass momma's boy...
I admire your persistent positive mind-frame under all circumstances. I love to watch the camaraderie you share with the other drivers, your fans and your team. Your generosity, humor and pragmatism are your secret weapons.
I absolutely agree with you on that one 👍👍👍😎
The mirror thing is going to be a running inside joke! I love it.
Clay was on it baby. Critical hardware failures suck.
Keep stomping that LOUD pedal. WHOAAH
Love the helmet camera man
Hey clay I know how you feel about your son I lost my son back in December and I've surely miss him but the good Lord had a different plan. I guess we just got to keep going forward God bless you and Donna love you guys
Sorry to hear about your loss 💙💙💙
Anyone that doubts the G force created by 10,000 hp needs to watch when you deploy the chutes.
You caught that did ya..? Dangling from the harness..👍
Seatbelts are needed 😁
@@claymillican25 indeed…going out the front is harsh I’m guessing….🤣
Yes, the pov camera is the bomb. I miss the view of looking through the windshield down to the skinnies.
@@claymillican25I never realized how violent it is to dump the throttle and hit the chutes at that speed. Garlits had a retina detached (or some type of injury like that) because of the instant change in g force. I can tell you hitting chutes in the high 160’s is a walk in the park as compared.
Ramble on, brother, turning on the win lights👍👍 It sure is nice to do a scheduled engine swap, as opposed to tearing stuff up!!
OK, man, my opinion of Steve Torrence is changing. That guy has def grown up and matured. Used to not be a fan watching his selfish, childish, classless tantrums and poor sportsmanship. But he def showed class in losing graciously here. Clay beat him, fair and square. Another quick story, we were at the AZ Nationals in Apr and every time we walked the pits, Steve was ALWAYS out at the line, talking to fans, signing anything, taking every picture they asked for, just leaning into the grind and hustle of their thing. He was BY FAR the most engaged driver I saw that weekend. The old Steve Torrence, I don't think so. But lately, I think I'm coming around on Steve.
Bummed about the Clay's loss to Tony. The Parts Plus crew needs a win.
This is seriously like the best racing channel that existed, that’s not even an exaggeration..!
Things on here that you might even be hard-pressed to hear working on one of the cars lol..
Obviously not everyone is gonna get that or not right away but the end of the day, I think most appreciate the living hell out of this channel and love it with a passion. I know I do. Thank you and the team!!
Heck of a video keep up the good work man I enjoy it better than watching the TV I just live about a half a mile from your shop and just directly across the interstate from where y'all shop is I live beside the Costco and academy sports I hear every once in awhile I know when you fire that thing up down there
As the old saying goes…it’s called Racing, not Winning!
The kids and the ‘dynamic duo’ did great, and the old feller stomped pretty good on the loud pedal.
Next thing people will ask..
What is the black tape covering on the dash?
What does "Your" left and right lever you use do?
The left lever delivers nitro fuel to the motor, it is the fuel pump lever. The right lever is the hand brake. The other right hand lever is the chutes.
One is fuel off

Champ, What the significance of the big H on your helmet ?
Thx for sharing , awesome watch , your ripen it , the funny word luck ,, lol
Question for ya' - What helps you determine the length or duration of a burnout?
Do you let the butt'o'meter do the thinkin'?
Again, thanks for let us see the screen as you fly down to the big-end! Bummer ..... so close.
Track temp is the determining factor and Jim O tells me short or long so how long I actually stay on the throttle is ButtOmeter
You are the man,Clay! Love the RUclips channel and taking us behind the scenes on and off the track. Keep up keeping us informed. God bless you, your family and your race team!
I love the electrical tape/ribbon/whatever it is the guys use on the fuel line on the barrel valve when they shut the car down. Such an awesome idea.
@claymillican damn that race with Steve was close but you got the win brother!
What you're looking for via the mirror is for the tires to move checking clutch engagement so you can find neutral position .
Naw, checking to see if Jesse still has spinach on His teeth after lunch.
Excellent video thank you Clay
Friendship & Teamwork so good, I gotta find my dog! As he's hiding, could you please do a throttle whack? Please Jim let him!!! Oh & please don't mention dog bath ..... He's gone again
Congratulations on the win,,,, and good work team clay Millican/Rick Ware racing nation , thank you ,BigAl California.
The mirror is a comment generator.
I think he's looking for that little gremlin that keeps taking a free ride.
Bristol Baby!
STOMPONTHATLOUDPEDAL!!!!!🤙
2nd round.36 light....I'd expect nothing less from an old Modified racer ;) ... Belt deal was a bummer. Reminds me of my IHRA days in constantly breaking rocker arms...dead in the water... :( Good luck from your stocker buddy!
Great video Clay I thought you had the car to win!!!!!! The racing gremlins can be very fickle! Stomp on that loud pedal!!!!!!!
MILLIE KNOWS👍 You get home and get a bath and get fired up for the next event! SQUEAKY TOY! LOL You have excellent content sir! And we couldn't be watching a more nice or more professional guy! Take care and let that heart rate come back down to earth while your home! Later! 👏👍🏁🇺🇸 J Poll..
Another gripping video Clay! EVERY TIME you light up that locomotive it’s instant adrenaline rush. Love those shots of you hitting the loud pedal. Your reaction time is insane…. Hope you and your wife have a nice road trip. PS. Looks like 100K is just around the corner 👍
Headline: TENN OWN: Clay Millican wins 2Fast2Tasty Challenge and doubles with win on Sunday!!!
Hey Clay. If you look at the cockpit view on your second run it looks as though your windscreen is deflecting down towards you by at least an inch during the run. Your losing that streamline effect and causing more turbulence over and inside that cockpit by it doing so. I don't know... I'm older and my eyes aren't the best but take s look for yourself brother. May need to reinforce that top inch around that window with another thin piece of lexan to keep it from bending down. Great run man! I'm LOVING IT! Go Rick and Clay! J Poll.👏🏁🇺🇸
Time to squeeze everything out of that rod you can get. Are carbon fiber front wheel covers allowed Clay? You've got larger fronts creating more turbulence! Just thinking out loud and trying to help buddy! Lol But what do I know! Good job! J Poll..
Thank you for doing what you do
Damn schedule engine change....😬 one more step closer...Team....let's gooooo!!!
Clay, I know your busy, could you consider doing some more voice overs regarding what you/team crew, do in the video prior and during a race start. Would love to know a bit more intricate details, please.
It's always an honor to pray for you & Rick Ware Racing team. God brought me to you because he likes being involved in racing. He's a big fan of Top Fuel - all kinds of racing actually but he's a big fan of Top Fuel or he'd never have gotten me to do this. I've mostly been an intercessor for nations, cities, ministries, & for God racing is a ministry too if you're one of his.
This is one of the ways God has made my job more interesting. I've been a racing fan since I was a school kid. For him to let me be part of one of his most loved racing teams is a great privilege & it makes my job of intercession more exciting. He's got goals for you to reach that only He can make happen. Someday he may release me to tell you what they are.
But know this. If you keep trusting him for everything he'll reveal those ET's that he's got for you. It will require you to hit two ET's that will change the world of racing. As you may surmise - you'll need to hit the first one before you'll have a shot at the 2nd one - but you can't do it with human reasoning - he has to be able to make a bunch of things all come together perfectly but, as you know, He can get you down that track faster than anyone's done before - the first goal beats any existing record slightly. The first goal you may already have in your mind. I sense that you do. If it's got two zero's after it before any other numbers appear - it's probably the first goal.
After achieving the first goal - the 2nd will be touted a miracle in racing as it's doable but requires even a higher degree of perfection - but neither of them can be achieved in the realm of human reasoning, human effort, or human strength. He has to slowly but surely sort out a good many things to bring together conditions, like weather & wind, air density, temperature, technique, strategy, gear & equipment, talent, obedience, & all the things that influence the ET's that you achieve. However faith will take you there because he knows how to set it up.
But he needs continual forgiveness & surrender to each & every moment - but I do believe you'll achieve these things. The scriptures he gave me for this are "no weapon formed against you shall prosper & every tongue that rises against you in judgement you shall condemn". Your adversary does everything he can to mess with you, your crew, & your suppliers, in order to defeat God's purposes.
God invests in people that love him & his purposes. He's deeply invested in you & when you invoke this scripture - it brings protection, support, problem solving, wisdom, & activates your inner warrior to win in your heart "like David" before you win on the track. It also defeat's the accusing voices that are being used against you & your support systems, including your fans, for whom you & yours are praying for. Never forget to pray for your suppliers & also the direction you need to choose the suppliers & supporters that He want's for your success. He didn't bring you this far to waste all that effort. He's plans & purposes for you - the best is still ahead!!!
F*** YEAH MAN.
Anything quicker than that .036 light is just a bad job at red-lightin but boy howdy there aint nothing like a holeshot win.
Helmet cam is the best!!! Can always tell when you won the lap when the opponent blows by you after you've already shut her down!!!! ( They trying to catch you ) Thank you Clay and TEAM!!!
I was there on Saturday. After the first warm up. You came to the ropes and signed anything people had,and took pictures with everyone. I'm not an autograph hound, but I respected you gave everyone a chance to get whatever they wanted. I was off to side taking it all in. The 6'5 guy leaning on the transporter with a Vice Grip Garage shirt on,that was me.
I remember you and thought you were big as VGG Derek 😁 Thanks for coming to the race.
I haven't missed a year of that race. Being my home track,I couldn't miss it. Good luck in Bristol my friend.
Shaft happens! Fuhgetaboutit! Thunder Valley on the way. Good Luck Clay.
I look forward to clays videos of race day! The commentary, in car camera, conversations with the crew and crew chiefs, all of it! As a long time fan of drag racing, I hope all fans can appreciate the behind the scenes look Clay gives us every week. It is special! It was nice shaking your hand Friday, now go get them in Bristol!!!!
I can always tell when they hit the kill switch on you, from the driver's camera, because you go flying forward hard.. lets go clay!!!!
Appreciate the effort you put in to bring us along. That win is coming!👍💪🇺🇲🏆
I’m not a racer but I do like watching and enjoy your videos and comments + that big SMILE very interesting 😊 keep um coming you have a great race team! Good luck at Bristol
Thanks for another excellent video. A good result for the weekend. Shame about the breakage in the semi. You are such a great sportsman. No matter what happens that smile never leaves you. We have the same attitude when we race. When we get beat it is not the end of the word and we always congratulate the winner. Isn't it amazing how close the competition is this season. There is just nothing in it at the finished. That Wally is just around the corner. NEXT WEEKEND.
Looking forward to Q3 and 4 at Bristol Clay. Thanks for sharing Your efforts on these videos. Best Wishes to everyone on the Parts Plus Top Fuel Team. #RWR51
Clay love the view of the Racepak have qlways wished somebody would show that view!! Show it more often Thanks!!!
That's Racin, Crap Happens, You are so close to taking home a 2024 Walley, Keep up the good work!
You do a heck of a job keeping your fans and followers up to date. That is a lot of work and takes a lot of time, filming, editing, posting on your busy schedule. A huge asset to the NHRA.
*Damn, Clay. She's a pretty dog. Papers? If so, would you breed her? I have a sire that is her twin, almost.*
Sorry to watch what has happened to your car. As you may say its part of the racing. It seems girls like to have bath more than boys do !.
Drive safe to Bristol and good luck !.😄👍
Mirror is looking for Neutral.....
Clay, just one race name that rig Buck Shot and watch it go to the Winners Circle 🏆
No doubt about it, you had the car that could have done it. However progress was made. 6th place. See you in Bristol. Safe travels
Awesome content as always!
I wish I knew you guys were coming up north earlier. I didn’t see until Thursday and had to work this weekend but next time I’m def going. I’ve never seen top fuel run in person it’s got to be awesome tho. Love the videos!!
This is superb content, solid work Clay and team.
Much appreciated.
Unfortunate incident for sure . Great camera work , love the helmet cam , it really helps us to see and feel what you do. Good luck at Bristol. Many thanks , always appreciated.
So close indeed! Everybody did amazingly well. If it was easy winning wouldn't be any fun. Still good data on the crank support. Should be able to catch that in the future.
The race against Steve, was so close, but the semifinal was unfortunate, but you keep on smiling on the next one. 👍👍😎
It was a thrill to meet you in the pits. I had such high hopes for you and the team. you had some great runs and i couldn't figure out why that last run didn't go well. Thanks again for the videos. See you next year in Epping!
How good does it feel when you take your helmet off when you get out of the car??? I’m guessing you feeling cool compared to sweating while waiting to make your run!!??
Hey Clay, any idea how The Anthill Mob did, they're from Canada but originally from the UK and raced on a northern track I did bracket racing on. Also what are the numbers on your dash showing, I guess the large number is crankshaft RPM but what are the two smaller numbers and the small window on the extreme left showing?
Shame about the belt coming off
Gotta be honest if it doesn’t happen in our pit area I have no clue what anyone else did at the races.
Safe travels to Bristol, always been my favorite track. Can’t beat the echoes off the mountains. 👍
My oldest daughter keeps trying to remind me that dogs aren't supposed to be the most important thing in my life. I have 2 granddaughters. Millie makes me happy though.
I dont know Clay.. you're makin a big deal bout that mirror.. Im begiinin to wonder if you aint take a sneak peak at Jim O's good side hahaha
GL in Bristol. We are far enough in the season ya'll need some club house decorations.
Can’t wait for the Bristol vids. Wish I could get out there. Maybe some day!
It's time for a new mirror question. How many of those jokers you reckon you've been through in your career. You know lost and broken ones over the years? A rough idea
Going to my second NHRA event after 20 years because of this channel
Come on my way and win Bristol! Normally come on say but the lil one got us tickets for Sunday so make it to Sunday!!! Hahahaha see ya in my mountains. Les go thunder valley!!!
Maybe next time clay. Keep up the great work. Love the content.
Thanks for the awesome videos…..mate from Brisbane Australia
The only question I got Clay is when you put the car in reverse and back in the forward the lever on the lower left hand side can you show us from the lever all the way back to the bellhousing and how it works PS love the helmet cam
Schumacher had nothing on you. The crank support yes. Many wins coming
Arg thats racing and your right...when its your day its your day! Dig the variety and rotation of camera angles!
Between you and your family and your sister you bring me some real wholesome entertainment I appreciate you guys the
I hope you still keep up the videos I really enjoy them and you're awesome driver
The mirror is so Clay can keep an eye on his crew! They can sometimes get lazy or out of line, but not if he's keeping an eye on them... 😊
That's weird the belt came off. I didn't see LS George in the vicinity 😂
Do you feel using two hands trimming the fuel is better for you or have you always done it like that on the warmup?
Just curious
I love the view of the warmup procedure - you need to be crazy as a driver to be on your crew! It looks like you all are working with a large bomb.
It's cool being able to see the gauges you can tell video to video Even if you hadn't told us that you had changed short blocks the gauges show that you change shirt blocks the oil pressure is different the idle rpm is different
Oh man, that was a great video, so unfortunate about the crank support issue. I liked the NHRA a voice overs by the way. Good luck in Bristol @claymillican25 🤞🤞🤞
Most of the crew must just be used to the Nitro Exhaust. I wonder what kind of long term affects that has on the body.
Clay your a professional driver . What do you do to prep yourself for a race. Do you practice on a simulator to get your reflexes ready for the green light before a race?
You have the best office window view Clay and it was nice to see Crash and Bent Rod gettin the merch plug in
Clay and crew, y'all rock! You were on a roll there. Next, you will be in the winning circle. Peace
You definitely was the fastest car this weekend dang it it's just too bad that you couldn't get through it but you were the fastest by far good luck at Bristol
Damn, I wish I knew you were racing in New Hampshire 45 minutes away
Man you guys have a great team, you'll get them at Bristol. Been a fan when you ran ihra, you ran at empire dragway
Thanks for letting us know why the belt did not stay on, inside stuff like this makes your channel the best.
When you build a short block do you install a brand new support bearing, or is it used over again ?
I love that helmet cam view. It's amazing what you do, Clay!!
The Bar Has Been Raised!! Let’s Go!! This was Amazing!
Let’s Go !!!
Hey Clay, new to the channel saw you on Cleetus channel. Started watching your videos they are awesome. I would like to introduce you to another great racer, his name was Mike Bell or better known as the Chatsworth Mad Man he got his moniker and start in racing in the IHBA( International Hot Boat Association, for those who don't know). I believe he still holds the world record for BGF (Blown Gas Flatbottom) at 154MPH on water.
Boat racing was very dangerous back in the 80s. Mike got into Alcohol dragsters, unfortunately Mike lost his life in Las Vegas motor speedway back in 1996 in a bad accident. Mike Bell was the greatest guy i have ever had the pleasure not only to work for but to have as a friend.
I just want others to know his name.
Thank you.
Thank You 🙏
In the words of Bruce Dickinson, "I need more cowbell!"
Keep running well. You guys are so close.
Always enjoy. Tough luck, looked like you were pulling on him
Those gremlins are part of the game but it still sucks. Lets go Clay!
Great video Clay!!! Good luck at Bristol!!!! Go get em!!!!
