Barristan playing the game of thrones basically ruined Dany's chance for peace. If the book ever comes out, which it won't, the point of Dany's "madness" is that no matter what she does, it always ends in fire and blood, and not because oh no Missandei.
Daenerys completely failed at ruling Meereen, she absolutely hated it, which is why she was so bad at it. Daenerys was never a good ruler, she was good at conquering, something Daario himself pointed out to her. "You weren't made to sit on a chair. You're a conqueror Daenerys Stormborn". Daenerys LIKED war and battle, she did not however, like the politics and nuances of ruling, which unfortunately are a vital part of governance. Daenerys is very much like Alexander the Great, he was also a remarkable military leader and conqueror but he had a very hard time at ruling the lands he conquered and once he moved on with his armies most of those lands descended into chaos.

That's why when Prince Trystan showed up in Meereen and Barriston said that his arrival and the news he brought with him changes everything, Dany replies with "this changes nothing". She was over it.

They are extremely accomplished and skilled actors - I think they know what they’re doing in order to get a good performance. It’s not a “stupid excuse” 🙄

Since Show!Dany unlike the book version of her wanted the throne and break the wheel and end this cycle of wars for ppl to get to it. And she failed, but im still waiting on GRRM to finish the books even though it less likely. I really interested in Danys storyline and Jons because they have parallels its impossible for them not to meet. But its going to be alot better in the books than show.

Since Show!Dany unlike the book version of her wanted the throne and break the wheel and end this cycle of wars for ppl to get to it. And she failed, but im still waiting on GRRM to finish the books even though it less likely. I really interested in Danys storyline and Jons because they have parallels its impossible for them not to meet. But its going to be alot better in the books than show.
