    Didn’t consider myself a 10 to Lifer, just thought I was just dropping in this whole time. Today I realized I’ve watched/listened to every podcast on the way to and from work, while I do the dishes, while I fold the laundry. You name it.
    This stuff can be so heavy but listening to their story, is the least I can do for the victims. Thank you for speaking for them.

    I always marvel at a perp's way to try and turn things around so they look like the victim. This guy is clearly an alcoholic and is used to being an abusive yoyo and then blaming his victims for making him that way. This is a guy that couldn't take NO for an answer. His narcissistic ego enabled him to blow up to his girlfriend's house and take care of her and her assumed new older boyfriend. What a deludinoid! I am not buying the PTSD and he wasn't aware of his actions. He knew what he was doing, he went all that way texting Rebecca all the way up there. He actually needs to be institutionalized, the guy is paranoid and is loaded with demons.

    I lived with a Josh for 7 years and 4 children too late. I know now he had PTSD but back in the 70’s it was very difficult to leave a DV situation. I do believe if on my 4th try I hadn’t left with my kids and the clothes on our backs, I wouldn’t be alive. He never accepted responsibility for his actions: everything was my fault. I’m glad Rebecca survived but this never should have happened. My heart breaks for Rebecca and her family for the loss of her father!

    Dude is a psychopath & im not “victim blaming” but why was she entertaining him & texting him back & answering his calls? I understand they “had a car together” but it wasn’t a child & if she was afraid of him but had to communicate about that car, she could have had her mom relay messages to him. . She isn’t completely innocent in all of this. She should have cut all communications & ties to him but she chose to still talk to him.

    As someone with _severe_ PTSD (who's been in self-defence situations), there is no possible way for even him to delude himself into believing this is a self-defence situation. He knows. He threatened her, then drove hours to follow through on the threat - that's clear-cut premeditation.

    It’s frightening how many of your stories involving DV are so eerily similar to my situation and many, many other women I know. This is why these kinds of videos are SO important, so many of these stories have the same plot, the same behaviour, the same escalation and the same tactics. I was lucky that a DV professional was with me when my ex called and opened my eyes to how serious his behaviour was becoming. Within the week, I had a legal aid solicitor working on getting a non mol without notice, a couple months later he was rearrested and this time the charges stick, 6 months later he was found guilty and I was awarded my restraining order. Ladies, and gents, if you’re going through this, get help, use the resources out there. I had no idea what I was going through was considered extreme DV and I really shudder to think how bad things would have gotten if that Angel wasn’t on my shoulder that day

    I was in the process of leaving my wife. This woman was perfect. Until she wasn’t you wanna know what made her go crazy. My divorce wasn’t fast enough. Obviously I can’t help delays. Etc. she used to fly at me and start punching the side of my head. I recorded 5 different incidents where this happened. So after that. I did my normal. Came in. And immediately got screamed at. She flew at me and I popped that woman in the head. Bow! First thing she did was take off to call the police talking how she gets beat. This was the first time I stuck up for myself. After the police cuffed her from seeing my videos. I packed my stuff and left. Ironically. She drove me and my wife closer. I’m still not divorced and raising my kids in a stable loving home. Never be afraid to cut off your abuser. Never. Stay strong and safe out there.

    This is pretty much a play by play of my relationship with my kid’s dad. Especially the stuff about the jeep and the Tahoe. I know exactly what game he was playing. I got caught in that one myself. It’s like he was using the exact same book my ex did on how to be a successful domestic abuser.

    I'm SO GLAD I was raised by my grandparents. My grandfather and uncle set the bar really high for how men treat their partners. When my ex got violent the first time I told him it won't happen again. The 2nd time he was immediately arrested, I had a restraining order and owed 14 years of unpaid child support today. Both are awful people, who enjoyed abuse of each other in the beginning. I had no sympathy for ANYONE in this situation. I lost all respect for this girl when she blamed EVERYTHING on him from the immediate get go, before he went crazy, even though she seemed equally guilty of being a psycho abusive woman in the beginning. Thats absolutely disgusting.

There was only 1 bed available in a shelter 3 counties away. With 3 other women asleep and in the dark, I climbed the bed ladder to the top bunk with baby tucked inside my sweatshirt. It was the best sleep I got in months since having her. That was 15 years ago and now we both are living our best lives, my teenager and me. There’s a huge case breaking in Australia right now about exes and jealous rage. A police officer (Beau Lamarre-Condon) killed his ex-boyfriend and his ex’s new boyfriend (Jesse Baird & Luke Davies) on Monday this week.
    He turned himself in on Friday morning because (other) cops were looking for him.
    He’s refusing to tell authorities where the bodies are. The whole country is in shock, as are LGBT communities across the world.
    A lot of similarities to Kohberger. Breaking into the house at night. Speeding off in a white car that was caught on CCTV.
    Super intrigued to watch this episode because of the psychology behind “jealous ex-lovers.”
    They are always the craziest suspects. ALWAYS.
    EDIT: Oh, and another interesting part about the case is the fact that the culprit is a celebrity stalker. He has photos with Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Kourtney & Travis.
    The dude’s an absolute nutter.

    • @jas0206
      @jas0206 7 месяцев назад +13

      And one of the saddest parts of this case is that, for the first 4 days, all of Australia thought Jesse killed Luke and was on the run, because of the state of the crime scene and all the evidence.
      It’s breaking news every night here. There’s still so many questions left to be answered.

      That is so sad. I am a women's right activist and attorney and I ran a non profit pro Bono organization but this week,I broke the norm by taking up a case to advocate for a dead man. His Ex who comes from a different region of the country(No body knows her home but do know her tribe). Anyway, she cut him into pieces,collected his blood in a basket and pushed his body under the bed. She had gained access to his house claiming that she wanted to pick her property. Because we live in the rural community,homes are far from each other so we believe he shouted for help but nobody heard him. He was meant to join his brother Friday last week to burn bricks that they had made earlier and when he didn't show up,his brother went to his home only to find the whole compound smelling bad and flies everywhere. At the point of finding him,it is believed he had been dead for 3days. The police who should track the Ex want money which the family doesn't have so they settled to burying him and letting it be but one of the women we had worked with forcefully brought his mother to me on Wednesday and am glad she did bring her.
      Domestic Violence is such a virus that needs serious governmental intervention. In my Country and most African Countries,it is very hard to seek protection because of cultural norms and customs that accept abuse as "normal" relationship challenges that couples should endure.

    I was in a “relationship” like this. It was more like a stalker ship I put up with to SOME degrees in the beginning & definitely a stalkership in the end that ended with him being hauled off to jail after he choked me out on top of my car (& proceeded to punch me idk how many times in the face & head when I was passed out). I don’t think he thought I was going to wake up but I did in a pool of blood with my purse dumped on top of me barely able to open my eyes due to the swelling from the beating. I ended up having a child as a result of this “relationship” who was a baby at the time. I’m glad I lived but It is extremely hard to coparent with a “man” like this & despite it being illegal for him to speak negatively about me to our child per our divorce proceedings, he still does it & our child is beginning to resent him for it. It’s a really tough situation that feels like I’m being haunted by him even after the relationship has been over for more than 10 years.

    Many will disagree with my statement. But I do hold her at fault. From the beginning, she messed with a married man. She intentionally and cold heartless cause pain and hurt to another woman and her children. She also put other peoples life in danger. We have to be accountable for our behavior. We have to be accountable for actions. it is very tragic and sad that it ended that way. Again in my opinion, she is partially responsible for her father death, and the shooting of his in person. Why continue to text back-and-forth with a man you lose under the influence. What was her excuse? She wasn’t under the influence. She knew him well enough to know that he will show up to the house. So why put other peoples life in danger? This is a platform allowed to speak our mind and give our opinions. This is mine.

    • @kakakakellie
      @kakakakellie 7 месяцев назад

      So, because she messed around with a married man, (she meaning a single woman who WASNT married or under any commitment towards another person whatsoever), that means this entire thing is her fault????? If I remember correctly, HE was the one who was married. HE was in a commitment with another person. HE wasn’t allowed to sleep around but SHE technically was . She wasn’t breaking any rules or commitments or doing anything wrong to anyone in her life. HE intentionally and knowingly did. Was it messed up of her to mess around with a married man? Of course. That’s not cool. Plus, what good is it doing to her ? He’s either going to just use her for sex, probably stay with his wife, leave his wife and do the same thing to her and only cause more problems , but hey , we all do stupid, regretful things sometimes and maybe that was one of hers. So yes , it was wrong from a societal perspective. Was it illegal though? Was she knowingly and intentionally doing this knowing it would be going out of her way to hurt someone important in her life? Was she under the binds of a commitment to be loyal to another person? No . She’s allowed to do what she did , even though it’s fucked up from the wife’s perspective . So SHE deserved to get shot, her father killed, a new friend killed because she worse in this situation than HIM? You talk about people needing to take responsibility for their actions , yet you completely let this psycho get away with all of his and making excuses for him. You aren’t holding him accountable for his actions at all!!!! When he has so many more wrongs than her. Actually , in my opinion, I don’t think she did do anything wrong. She slept with a married dude , ok. But that’s not against the law. Then she fell in love and cared for him so much that it was a miracle she even did get out of that relationship. But she did . But the reason she texted him back and forth and stayed for so long was because she loved the dude… AND/ OR because it didn’t matter either way . Answer or not. The dude wasn’t going to stop calling and texting . Not unless she call d the police and got him for harassment. Which would’ve pissed him off even more and he wouldn’t be in jail for that . At least not right away. So this situation could’ve and probably would’ve happened anyway. The girl didn’t think for a second that he was coming to her house . She ignored him completely and if she even thought for a minute that he’d be coming there , I highly doubt she would have her dad and friend there and put their lives in danger ?????? Like what?? There’s no proof of her being that kind of person at all. She lost her father all because saying “I’ll let you know” was her saying “come over” to a psycho . She didn’t deserve that . Also, even if she knew he was coming , like Annie said, she had guns of her own. She probably wasn’t worried about this kind of situation happening . But he pulled up to her garage where she was and didn’t wait a second before pulling his gun out and shooting her , she had no time to even get them… honestly, I really do respect your opinion and can kind of see where your coming from , I’m guessing because maybe you were in the cheated wifes’ position maybe idk , but your reasons for blaming her and completely hypocritical because why you’re saying she’s wrong , he was wrong for the same reasons yet your letting him be irresponsible and holding it against her. When HE is clearly in the wrong 100% for so many reasons. He did so many things that were wrong. Or weird. Or psychotic . And this is all on HIM.

It may be something he has done but maybe someone else will read this advice. Document everything. Make a case for stalking/harassment. Look at the laws in your state. A PO is great but sounds like you need to go a step further and get her criminally charged.

    On average- women attempt to end an abusive relationship SEVEN times before the final breakup.... the comment, "it isn't easy" is an understatement.

      In my experience, this happens when the women continues to reply to the guys messages. If you say the relationship is over to a guy who has even been threatening once, why would you even reply to future messages? I've been in this situation, after continuous emails, calls etc, I moved house, changed my number and changed my email and completely stopped all contact. I see so many of these situations where women reply to messages, getting into arguments etc and making the situation worse, when they could just ignore all contact and move on...
