Man a 5th gen prelude converted in a similar way has been a build I have thought about doing for a while. It's actually one of my goals to build that car and run pikes peak with it. That would be awesome.
What a build! I love when people do stuff that's quite unconventional or challenging, and this is right up there. I don't often think about drive conversions, but when I do it's usually converting two wheel to all wheel drive, or the inverse. To go and route the power to the back instead of the front is fascinating in so many ways, I imagine it drives as good as it looks! Now put a rotary in there for extra unconventional...ness. I heard you say you have a rotary background!
This is such an awesome build! I'm loving the combination of the K20A2 and the S2000 transmission. Impressive work! I'm inspired to build something similar.
It’s too flicky for most but I would dig the challenge. Reminds me of the rear engine crx back 20 or so years. I have been waiting for this one to be finished since the big H was working with these folks.
JimmyOakes did similar with the square steel for the engine mounts but used S13 front arms /steering for his. Think he adapted an s13 rear end and subframe too but could be wrong. His is more drift focused rather than grip though
Correct. His car has adapted S chassis subframes. Smart and direct route. I also considered this but wanted the challenge of keeping the running gear Honda based or custom. Both cars are rippers!

I remember back in 04 at the NZ 4&Rota nuts, seeing a civic sedan doing a rwd skid? I enjoyed watching this build from the boys!

5:05 I noticed the exhaust is very close to the rear control arm, do you get any knocks or rubbing or had to restrict the suspension travel for this?
