This video actually helped me get through a lot of adversity. A year ago, I was 30, lost my job and my girlfriend of four years. Then I had to move back with my parents. Having aspergers didn't make it any easier. Kept applying for job after job, but for jobs that were really easy for people to get into within a few months, it took me about a year of applying. Was extremely depressed and suicidal, thinking I was worthless. Then last week, I finally got a job offer from one of my interviews. Now I'm starting a new career next week at 31. Plan to work a few months to save some money then hopefully move out. Things still aren't 100% OK but it's a good start.
Man, our stories are so similar. I'm 30, suffering from severe anxiety, depression, and chronic health problems; forcing me to quit my job and move back home to hopefully figure things out. Wishing you the best, man. NEVER GIVE UP!!

This video is like a waystation in life. Most people just stop by once or twice. Some of us have to come by more than others to be reminded of the lesson.
Ive seen this video so many times that when I feel like giving up I think of this video.
I refuse to disappoint the man!
The lesson never loses meaning or intensity. Never give up!
Just in time for finals week
Not even kidding, this man got me through some of the hardest semesters in Engineering. Wherever he is, I hope he's living a peaceful, joyful life to the fullest.
This is THE greatest video on RUclips. It's gotten me through so many exams, you guys have no idea
I decided not to kill myself today. Thank you, clam dude.

Not a single day passes when I don't consider suicide, so it's been a couple rough past months...
I admit this video made me tear up a bit.
Keep this video playing in your head at all times.
I think it's clear that you have it worse than most, but things will get better for you.
That's why you should...
Never Give Up!
God bless you and have an incredible life.
Never give up my dude! I’m here cheering for you to win!

God thats relatable, welcome to the "why are there are no asiatic clam fishing japanese tennis stars" in my life club.
@@Rar830 read my above reply :)
@@-Teague- I did, thanks.
Got introduced to this video through a random meme made my day much better. Definitely going to be watching this again in the future, thank you asiatic clam fisherman.
@@Rar830 yeah this guy is awesome. Really using his power and influence for the right stuff.
This is my inspiration.

You're here too! Sup?!
It starts here
A thirty second clip, in a different language, from 12 years ago somehow gives me the motivation to push through another bad day. Thank you, clam fisherman.
This guy motivates me better then anyone in my actual life. Thanks Japanese Fisherman i will NEVER GIVE UP.
i will never let you down
I have to listen to this all the time. He's helped me through some tough times.
tough times don´t last, tough people do.
I’m a sophomore in college and every exam that I had to take in high school leading up to now I would listen to this guy. He doesn’t know how much his words help me not only through school through life and I can’t say how grateful I truly at this man and this video exists
my success would be dedicated to this guy
Needed that today
Anyone from 2019?
I still watching because my struggle is too hard.
I feel you man, but remember, NEVER GIVE UP!!!
Ugh, I feel you
yes it is
I am also along side you in this journey friend
This man helped thousands of people. Props to you Shuzo
In your darkest hour on your darkest day when no one else believed in you and all your days ; are barren and full of sorrow. He stood there at -10 degrees harvesting Asiatic clams, for him you can never give up.
From this day forward I will give it my best, and when I'm standing there in front of millions, I'm going to look at them all and scream "NEVER GIVE UP"
Sometimes you just need a clam-catching Japanese man yelling at you to persevere to set your life straight.
Years later and im still comming back here for this pep talk. Thank you for the years of motivation, my friend. Many martial arts ranks were earned and dates had because of this talk.
And then, a random Japanese fisherman helped me find my ultimate destiny.
He is a former professional tennis player
The Championships, Wimbledon It has been made to be the best 8
in 1995

*He’s just like Rick Astly.*
*He never gave up on us.*
And he never let us down!
*YEAH!!*
And never ran around and dessert us.
Never gonna tell a lie, and hurt us!
*He never gonna make us cry, never gonna Saaay Goodbyyye!*
This the first video I watched in 2022. I won't let you down, brother!
Everytime I think of giving up I remind myself of Matsuoka Shuzo picking Asiatic Clams in - 10 degrees.
Ahahahaha
Thank you random Japanese clam harvester. :)
Mr. Japanese Fisherman got me through many finals weeks. Thank you Japanese fisherman, I graduated.
I come back to this video whenever life throws shit at me, it almost always makes me cry a little bit, but it brings me back to earth when it feels like everything is falling apart, thank you asiatic crab fishing man, thank you very much.
Well here I am again, things still aren't alright but I haven't given up, I hope the homie from the video is alive and happy, hopefully in warmer waters by now.
