I think it be cool to enlist in the space force just because it’s a new branch and you can make high rank in 25 years and there will be a lot less people compared to army, air force, etc
In regards to the amount of personnel in the Space Force that is true. We are the smallest branch. You also get to learn a marketable trait if you decide to get out.

Honestly, I've always loved space and Dreamed of going beyond earth when I was a kid. I'm now shipping off to Army Basic, but might switch over when my contract is up. I was excited when Space Force was announced. The Future of space exploration is growing daily now.

The perception problem has a lot to do with who made the announcement, and the barely original devise on the service arms. Very little was discussed in any of the PR about the function need for a separate service. Starting with "the Air Force split from the Army, now it is time for Space Force to grow as a new service" would have helped.
I would love to enlist, but currently I am losing weight and conditioning myself for basic military training, and also trying to study for whatever I have to be prepared for in the space force.

When you see people screw the pooch with no punishment and no accountability then others do it too. It also wasn’t what they make it seem like on the outside but anybody who served knows that. I got out and went to reserve I couldn’t deal with the bs anymore

I served in the Air Force and I owe my technology career to it. I would of definitely enlisted in the Space Force had it been around in 09. I would recommend anyone looking to work in technology to give it consideration. Air Force is great too.
What was your job in the airforce and what job do you have now? I'm in the recruitment process right now for the airforce and I'm going to meps in 4 days, I'm looking at technology jobs that would eventually transfer over to the civilian side really well if I choose to get out.
@@FordFighter-vc5sb I was cyber transport and there's cyber systems operations. I'd probably go with cyber systems. Ive had a successful IT career doing support, systems administration, and I now work on the business side of IT as like a project manager type

@@rolandbioc3024 Not sure about Air Force because there are so many different jobs although I’m sure there are plenty that you could transition easily from military to civilian. However from what I understand, the Space Force of course has to do with space and has much less options for jobs, but civilian space related jobs can pay very well. For example you could transition to work for NASA, SpaceX, Boeing, etc. I could be wrong, but proportionally to me, there seems to be more opportunities and more money in civilian life after being in the Space Force than in the Air Force. But you can’t forget Air Force jobs like pilots and Air traffic controllers.
so u would have to enlist in the air force & if you rlly wanna join the space force u have to go for a job that the space force is taking (theres a lot just look it up) and hopefully your recruiter is able to get you in as part of the space force, that’s what they did with me, i’m leaving soon for bmt & i’ll be leaving w other future airmen but once u arrive they kinda separate you to do some individual training for just the space force
Go see the recruiter!...............yet, at present days. If you don't mind about those mandatory jabs from the highly questionable leaderships at US White House......
That's depends how high your background checks would pass how much levels of security clearance.................and if you also have critical/valuable skills that intelligence community needs. Worst scenario are been groomed as a expendable pasty........

I was Air Force enlisted, 2012 to 2018. Honorable discharge, 70% disability. I wonder if they would let me join the Space Force.

You will need some desirable background, and able to pass some security clearance for DOD's GS or WS positions.
